destiro: Pls someone should enlighten me, I'm supposed to register 7 compulsary and 1 elective courses but at the moment i can't afford all if i'm to do course and exam registration. Now the question is: can i register less than that? Secondly, after the payment of the compulsory fees what will happen if one fails to do course registration? Response pls. Bro I sincerely pity your situation. I have been and still be in that shoe. However you can register less than the 8 courses if you cannot afford all. Ensure you have course and exam registration (or be certain to have it) before paying the compulsory fee because if you do not pay course registration fee after compulsory fee, you will have to pay it again the following semester. It is as if one gives NOUN money. |

Honestly I don't know bro. Maybe nixowl knows. ebiye55: So i was looking at the new directive/course reg breakdown, i noticed for 'we' the comms technologists, GST203 has been deleted and the dreaded MTH211 is now a C course and my total units has dropped from initial 23 to a meager 18 units, even after adding 2 100L courses cos I'm a DE student
What I'm wondering is why the reduction in total credits? is it to make room for carry-overs?
Any Comms Tech student here? McCarthy SC?

Career › Re: Should I Have Stolen My Boss's Money? by Kazrem(m): 8:25pm On Feb 27, 2016 |
takoi: I won't waste your time. I have a good boss who not only pays well but have also been very nice to me both financially and otherwise. He sent me on an errand yesterday to sell some of his personal belongings for him. He was expecting a maximum of 80k from the sales. While selling, I negotiated cleverly and made 150k. I fought with my conscience to give him like between 80k-90k. But I finally decided to give him all the money because he had always been a nice guy and I felt it was wrong to cheat or steal from someone who always gives you even more than you deserve. Fast forward to today. My younger brother called that he needs money for some pressing needs in school and I did not have money to give him because almost all the money I have is tied down to a certain business deal. I feel bad that I can't give my brother the money he needs and I could have had the cash to give him if I took part of the money yesterday. I have been wondering if it was really worth it that I gave my boss all the proceeds from the sales. Please share ur thoughts on this. That your first paragraph sums it all. A good boss (even a bad one too) deserves loyalty from one. Thank your God for not "stealing" part of the proceeds. If you had, you would have given your brother a stolen money which is filthy. A filthy source is tantamount to destroy whatever one sow with it. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: No Jobs Or No Employable Graduates? by Kazrem(m): 8:44pm On Feb 24, 2016 |
This is my position: As an undergraduate or a jambite who do not intend to thread entrepreneurial path, the journey to secure a job after graduation begins right from secondary school or at worst from the day he gets admission into a university. The problem with most there-are-no-jobs singers is because, among others, they leave it too late. They don't do what they ought to do when they ought to do it. For instance, if you are intending for a paid employment, I have read, start taking job tests from 300 level, learn how to write a good CV from 300 level and if possible, do a professional exam while in school. All these will add up to give you an edge above your competitors. The street is already filled with unemployed graduates. To get employed, you need to do something different from others. There are jobs only people to fill it are not employable. |

How will I wish her happy birthday? What kind of message should I send her?. I don't even know what to type. Is that how unique she is? Perhaps. She seems to be the General Overseer of Nairaland. Like every other Aminats I have known, everybody wants to be her friend. That's a pointer to her kind heartedness. When she's around, her presence is known. When she isn't, she's felt. What other thing do you want? May your presence be known for and absence be felt for good. Happy birthday to you Alake. Long life and prosperity. |

*Locate a nearby tutor center for screening (how is the screening like; orally or POP?
*For course registration: how many courses are required for Bsc Accounting?
*The kind of work I do only permit me to attend lectures on weekends ONLY (Saturday and Sunday). Is NOUN really for people like me?
*Anybody from Sango Otta know if there's a center around here? (Ikeja is kinda far - still) Screening is neither oral nor pop. It's just physical verification of credentials (that I know for Bsc). * There are 3 study centers in Lagos : Obalende, Ikeja and Apapa (unless if there is a new one) * 25 unit courses highest per semester. * Noun is actually for people like you. No lecture really but facilitation. |
