Career › Re: Drama In The Office As I Tender My Resignation After Getting A New Job. by Kazrem(m): 9:26am On Feb 21, 2016 |
sirculynz: After my service July last yr, my company refused to staff me, that I can only be employed as a trainee engr which comes with only small stipend. So I wrote this particular test online on July for one multi national company in lekki. 2 months later I got a text from them to come for interview, I was surprised. I went there. I was interviewed by an indian, the interview was so intense, he asked me many questions including sm calculations on electrical engr, I tink I got most. That interview lasted for abt 30mins each prsn & we where just 15. On dec, I got a call from them to come for medicals. By Jan I waited for them, I was tempted to go & find out my status from them @ their office but I kept cool. So on wed evening as I was leaving office I got a call from the HR of this new company, & she asked me to come tomorrow for their offer letter. When I went there & saw their offer, it was wow. we were 7, they apologised to us for taking this long to finally recruit us, that we were the lucky ones out of thousands of applicants & they had to do thorough screening. Omo that night I couldn't sleep, happiness won kill me. So the next morning when I went to my office to resign, I first told my boss, he was shocked cos I was one of his top engrs that delivers well. When I went to the HR to submit the letter. She asked abt the new company & i told her. She quickly had a meeting with sm top ogas & even the MD. Right there, she printed an offer letter, I was shocked. So after all this while, na now una know my importance. I told her dt my new company is gonna pay me 3x this offer & it's an international company with job security. After I greeted sm friends I left knowing fully well I'm going to a far better place. I'm resuming this Monday & I can't wait to get started. So my fellow Job seekers, I wish u all the best. There are still good jobs out there u can get without knowing anybody. This year shall be our year of plenty testimonies. Please ignore my typo errors** Baba God don pick your call. |

ejibaba: So results not released will show on registrable courses? So that means one has to pay for exam and still register it again. Then I guess I don't have to worry about an exam I missed since I didn't write it, then it will be among among registrable courses when I have reached 42 credit units?? No. That a result hasn't been released and shows in registrable courses doesn't mean you will pay for the exam and register it again. It is because the result hasn't been released that's why it still showing. If you do exam now and after some weeks that results haven't been released before another semester begins, you will see all those courses you did their exams in the registrable courses. Until when results are released (and of course if you pass them), they will still show in registrable courses. I hope you understand it. |

Career › Re: Am Thinking Of Quitting My Job by Kazrem(m): 6:13pm On Feb 20, 2016 |
Attitude. Change your attitude and everything will change. Can she be as rude, inhumane, workaholic, what again like Mrs Stella (not her real name), my former employer? Yet I didn't quit because of her. I did because I found a better one. Change your attitude and everything will change. missKiffy: This job has made me realise that truly we women are the problem of this world. I started this job on the 2nd of November last year and the Manager who happens to be a lady is everybody's problem in that office.
While working there its been one issue or the other, this lady in question is repulsive, cranky, rude, very proud, talks to people anyhow including an elderly man who happens to be the driver, never takes blame for her mistakes but never fails to magnify every other persons mistake. My mind has left the place since the day I found out that she was looking for a replacement for my position, that was late last month, I had initially decided to leave after collecting my salary for that month before I later changed my mind, as at now I don't know if she still intends to find someone else but my mind is just not there anymore, there is nobody they haven't threatened with a sack in that office, in fact a guy was once sacked just a week after he started work. It's just a small organisation with about six staffs including the boss, she's actually in a relationship with the boss and if they do decide to get married I don't even want to be there by then cos if she can be behaving like this when they are only dating i wonder how she will behave when they get married.
I know a lot of people would say it's best to leave your job only when you've gotten another place but you might not understand what's it's like when your mind is not just there anymore. What do you guys think? Do you think I should quit? |

This is good for the local industry.
I suppose PMB intentionally leaves the economy/naira in auto fall so that we can all see the negative effects of always buying from abroad. This is simple arithmetic: You have a wife, a damsel for that matter. Because of your oju kokoro you abandon your wife and become a regular customer to brothel. As a result, the olosho increases her charges. Your pastor or Imam intervenes in the matter and mandated you not to visit brothel again and if you must, you would pay times 3 of what you normally pay. What happens? You resort to your legal wife. She now looks angelic to you. The final result: she bears beautiful children. That's the similitude with the current economic crises in the country |

Emanus: Pls help again! !
I wrote 8 courses last semester and 5 courses results were released, I noticed that the remaining 3 courses that were not released are now showing up in my portal that I should pay for exam fees again. I checked my TMA link the assessment are also showing up.
I hope I will not regret of investing my money in PGDE in NOUN?
Please what should I do?
I have gone to study centre , nobody seems to listen to me. The money I invested would have earned my nice MSc in Nigeria leading University but because I need education qualification, I am tired of NOUN .
Please advice!!! You are not alone in this. Many students have the same problem. The courses are showing in your registrable courses simply because they have not released the results, not that you failed. I will advise you patiently wait till when they will release it. They will. It's just a matter of time. If you are in Lagos, you can also go to the HQ. No school doesn't have missing result palava. Beheading is not the solution to headache |
