Nwabundo or Nwando......I love this name. |
Unemadu: Any pics of the unec center? is it unec that's building it?I think its funded by a private partner(I think ibeto group). I don't have any pix now but will try and get one when next I get into Unec. |
centje: I trust Chime will deliver another state of the art facility in this diagnostic centre but my worry is that it's taking ages to complete...I took these pictures today.I hope its completed asap as that will go a long way to complement ESUTH resulting in More employment, more accurate diagnosis hence better healthcare delivery. The centre in Unec is moving at an encouraging rate. Hopefully it will be completed this year. |
oneeast: Anambra does not have the type of red soil texture in Enugu state..that is a fact. All the houses in Enugu are reddish because of the environment..Hope the erosion and land slides have not reached your town cos Nanka town is seriously calling on FG for help now while Obiano is currently busy trying to mechanize rice, beans and pawpaw. |
OdenigboAroli: Founded many years ago, Amaku General Hospital, (now Anambra State University Teaching Hospital, Awka), gained prominence due to the expertise of most of the doctors and nurses. Their selfless services contributed immensely to the successes achieved in the hospital. But that was in the past. At a point things began to turn upside town, perhaps, due to unfavourable government policies, or rather, politicization of human lives. The basic demands of the hospital were not met; dilapidated and decayed hospital equipment was never replaced and the quality and quantity of the drugs brought to the hospital became somehow questionable. Some nurses and doctors, as their own reaction to government’s apparently callous actions, began showing lackadaisical attitude towards the affairs of the patients. Even when a medical doctor was the governor of Anambra State, the doctors went on strike after so many years of tears to draw the government’s attention which fell on deaf ears.Your ignorance is amazing. Accreditation for a teaching hospital is done department by department. For ANSUTH, they just got accreditation up to first clinical meaning they don't have accreditation for paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, medicine and surgery. This in effect means they can't graduate any doctors yet. I have a friend in their pioneer class who usually calls whenever she gets so frustrated for encouragement. They don't also have faculty of health sciences yet. |
ChinoElects: You are already sounding frustrated. Did Obi tell you that he owns a mall in Abuja? Nobody will leave Onitsha main market to go to your nonsense polo mall.Polo park mall lacks customers and shoprite and co are still there paying huge bills........now u sound bitter |
ChinoElects: My friend you are talking baselessly.. |
ChinoElects: kcinho, what you post is gibberish to say the least..Jumping from one school to the other. Have we finished with UNN vs nauth already? |
ChinoElects: Who lives in your dungeon..?Springing up since 1960. Buputa facts my friend. I'm sure you have been to polo park shopping mall....now that's class. |
Unemadu: Looks like Enugu beats u guys in every sectorNwanne did you notice Renaissance university a private university in ENUGU is ahead of ANSU. O di egwu. |

One of such programmes is the Nigerian Universities Doctoral Theses Award Scheme (NUDTAS). NUC instituted the Nigerian Universities Post graduate Theses Award Scheme (NUPTAS) in 2001 to cover both doctoral and masters research work. The award, was later streamlined into NUDTAS (Nigerian Universities Doctoral Theses Award Scheme) for only Ph.D Theses, to have a more comprehensive assessment of contributions to knowledge by postgraduate students, and for the purpose of recognizing Ph.D Theses adjudged to be outstanding in the different disciplines, was aimed at stimulating a culture of high quality research by fostering healthy competition among university postgraduate students and academic staff. The main purpose of NUDTAS is to encourage scholarship for academic excellence in postgraduate research projects in Nigerian Universities through: i. Identifying research projects in Nigerian Universities doctoral theses irrespective of discipline; ii. Bringing about increase in research funding and national development; iii. Giving formal recognition to the most deserving of such theses; and i. Awarding prizes to their respective authors. The objective of the NUDTAS initiative is to institute a recognition and reward scheme that identifies and rewards outstanding Ph.D theses in Nigerian universities. On a broader note, the scheme was also intended to "arouse stronger interest in research work, stimulate scholarship, academic excellence and create a healthy competition among our doctoral students." The Department is set to hold the award ceremony having finalized the assessment of 2008/2009 theses held in December 2011. The award ceremony will take place in University of Agriculture Makurdi, on the 24 th – 26 th April 2012. ChinoElects: And you forgot also, just recently the former Chancellor and a director in UNTH had their own surgeries in NAUTH. What went wrong with UNTH facilities? Now Dats hilarious cos the chancellor is the emir of zazau. Wondering what brought the northerner to NAUTH or this post is a lie |
ChinoElects: Are we arguing this again? Or is UNIZIK not better than UNN academically and otherwise. UNN is just one uni that is still managing to survive because of past dead glories. Lions kwa, goats kwa..A former VC of NAU had a surgery in UNTH a year or two ago which left everyone wondering what happened to NAUTH. Personnel or equipment? A lion is naturally ahead of you. #Proudlyalion |
Unemadu: Whaaaatttt!!!!!Une mu, dats d situation over there. |
ChinoElects: What I am saying is that you do not know what you are talking about. ANSUTH is a brand new teaching hospital with a new accreditation and has overtaken other state teaching hospitals around.. The teaching hospital since establishment has been churning out excellent materials in human resources. So I don't know where you are getting your own info.Accreditation is a regular exercise to ensure good standard so there is nothing new about theirs. Kindly post the year they produced their first set of doctors. As regards my info, I got them from a friend in their pioneer class. She just entered her clinical class if you understand what that means. |
ChinoElects: Who is this unlettered daft? What do you know about equipment of hospitals? ANSUTH has been accredited and has some of best facilities and personnel in it. Can you also compare the performance of ANSU and ESUT on academic basis? I hope you dare not because aside cultism and rascality ESUT is not supposed to be a higher institution but a 'war college'.You don't need to resort to name calling. Kindly point out the year ANSUTH graduated their first set of doctors. Some of my colleagues are products of esuth, imsuth, absuth, ebsuth. Esuth has also produced some consultants from their residency program. Many of the consultants are from NAUTH n UNTH covering ansuth. Though it will take a while but Ansuth will surely get Dia one day. Hopefully obiano will do well to fast track Dat. |
ChinoElects: I have come to notice that you are a man of low esteem. You get carried away with zero performance of Chime..Sorry bro, its obvious you are not in the medical field cos that teaching hospital is the worst in the south east when it comes to personnel and equipment for healthcare. The medical school is struggling with accreditation and probably has no graduates yet. I guess the post graduate school hasn't started yet hence no research. It is not all about big structures. A teaching hospital is a tertiary health care institution known to handle specialist cases, undergraduate and post graduate training and research and not just large structures. |
spyder880: Tell me you are joking broTrans nkisi has very bad road network. I have been to radio sapientia and the road was nothing but bad. Akpaka estate had no tarred road the last time I visited. And I can boldly tell you that trans nkisi is not as large as golf estate. |
Nigerians on Friday described the late Dr Stella Adadevoh as a hero, model, a pacesetter and a Nigerian worthy of emulation. Adadevoh, a doctor at the First Consultant, who attended to the late Patrick Sawyer, the index Ebola case patient in Nigeria, died on Aug. 19. A former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme, who spoke on the sideline at the Holy Cross Cathedral after the requiem mass applauded her effort and urged Nigerians to emulate her virtues. “She gave her life for Nigeria because if she had not insisted the late Sawyer would have infected many Nigerians in Calabar and other places he was planning to go. “And we should all be very grateful to her and pray that God may receive her soul and grant her eternal rest.’’ Also the General Overseer of House on the Rock, Mr Paul Adefarasin, urged the Federal Government to use this opportunity to strengthen the healthcare system. “She was truly the epitome of the Christian in a country where not every doctor practices the Hippocratic Oath; she sacrificed her life for the health and safety of our country. “And I certainly stand alongside all those who believe that she must get a post humous honour and award at a very significant level from the Federal Government and every other institution that understands the importance of what she did. “Her life also serves as an important note that we must deeply strengthen our health care systems.’’ Also the Health Minister, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, said that everyone had a role to play in curtailing the virus and should be on red alert saying that “the danger is still on”. He also urged the media to be sensitive in the reportage of the virus and urged them not to cause unnecessary panic. “From the testimonies of our classmates and from what I have learnt, she was certainly the true meaning of being a doctor,” he said. The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Adewale Martins, said that the late Adadevoh loved her country so much that she laid down her life. Martins said that the late Adadevoh knew the importance of oath taking and she followed it until her death. “The late doctor is a model, a pace setter, woman of honour and integrity. “I think she loved her country because it is only love that can make you do things that you should rather not do,” he said. nigeriantimes.ng/news/late-adadevoh-begins-last-journey-amidst-encomiums/ |
Phlegmwash: You don't say! I've always thought he's portugueseHis full name is Tiago Abiola Delfim Almeida Ilori. His father is English of Nigerian descent. So maybe with enough persuasion he can play for us. England is already trying to get him. |
Another player we haven't approached is Tiago ilori. The Liverpool kid on loan to Bordeaux |
Nig 2-0 Sa. Meanwhile Congo is winning 1-0 now. Dats 6 points for them |
adconline: Tell me as a philanthropist how many times u bought expired goods or spoilt tomatoes, banana, pineapple and oranges? Anammco was moribund and bleeding money until somebody bought.. No need to thank ENSG!My point is, No investor buys liabilities only as the assets outweighs the risks. Its obvious you don't like the ENSG, did the non-indigene sack affect you? |
