Bevista: If the ministers and advisers are responsible for policies, why do you now blame PMB for a policy formulated by the GMD-NNPC.
Most countries have political parties that are driven by socialist & capitalist ideologies. The US has Democrats (S) & Republican (C). The UK has Labour (S) & Conservatives (C). Nigeria has APC (S) & PDP (C).
The difference in ideologies of these parties provide balance in the system. They both have their advantages & disadvantages, and the electorate will tend towards one depending on the exigencies of the time. Politics in Nigeria isn't based on group of individuals with similar ideologies coming together to form a party and others who share same joining thereafter rather it's about joining/decamping to the winning party or any party that is willing to give you the ticket to run or even appointments. APC cannot be said to be socialist cos it's the same politicians that we have just recycled under the #CHANGE mantra. |

DikeOha882: Never said so just that those who were charged with the responsibility failed to carry all the constituents along except Jim Nwobodo gave us light and some other amenities, when an Awgu man takes charge, his aim will be improving where others failed when it comes to dividends spread You think Jim Nwobodo carried everyone along because he gave your region light and some other ammenities. Are you aware that some towns and local governments in Enugu haven't gotten the ammenities you have now. A tour around Enugu will open your eyes that your region has been lucky so far. Obviously your only problem is that the next looter must come from your town/region. You can't claim an awgu man has the magic wand for our development cos your "greater Awgu brother " has been the deputy Senate president for 8 years and counting and other parts of Enugu haven't felt any impact considering how close he was to the former president(rumors have it he has a hand in why milychocs is crying about the state of the Enugu-onitsha express ). I'll advise you pray for Ugwuwanyi to be selfless and innovative. Because from the current rotation policy, Enugu west has to Endure the next 16 years for another shot at good governance. |

http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/12/tara-ebony-stoke-rice-revolution-adani-ikwo/
From the story above Tara agro said the rice paddies are not enough to sustain the mill hence paddies from north are brought to Tara agro for mill processing..tara agro was initially located in taraba but had to be relocated to uzo uwani because of security challenges..Tara agro should contact coched rice farms From my interactions with the locals/rice farmers in the area there hasn't been enough community participation. Many of the farmers say they are being exploited by the owners of the mill who price their harvests so low. Hence the short supply, so they prefer to process and sell them on their own to at least make reasonable profit. The article reeks of ignorance though. Ogwurugwu is a large agrarian town in ogboli development centre Uzouwani LGA not a village as stated. Other agrarian towns in the area include Igga, Ojo, Asaba, Adani. Most of the rice farmers are actually from Igga, Ogwurugwu and ojo towns. Adani (though has rice farmers ) is more of a market centre/town where everyone comes to sell his farm preduce due to its strategic location. |

BuddahMonk: South East is almost similar size with Israel but the latter is self sufficient, they grow most of their foods on their rooftops and balconies because of paucity of land.
To be sincere with you Igbos are really investing in agriculture, Igbos have understood the need to be self sufficient, in no distance time the trailer loads of chicken from North will stop just like we have dominated the egg market in our land.
Gradually we will start building ranches for cows and open modern abbatoirs that will be hygienecally fit for us.
Let's atleast feed ourselves by supplying our daily needs at 40% Igbomade.
Stellar Odua and Sule have massive farms in ogbaru area of Anambra State, Coched Farm at Anaku, there is one catholic Farm at Oze ogbunike, there another large farm at Ogwashi Ukwu
We need farms Ndigbo, Ndigbo doesn't need to be fed by the enemies, our land is sustainable I'm happy our people are beginning to invest at home. More employment for the youths and food security for the region. Rapha vegetable oil and juice to follow. Below is the oil factory at Ninth mile.

Hence they MUST be criticised when they do otherwise. He promised a corruption free cabinet and we had to wait 4 months for that.....so if there is anyone with a clear case of corrupt practiceson the list it is our responsibility to criticise him and that very appointment. Also making appointments based on the dictates of the constitution which requires application of federal character to accommodate every state has to be ensured. Discarding federal character in his cabinet appointment means he broke the law of the federal republic which he vowed to uphold and any region that feels cheated has every right to criticise him and his appointments. Anything like the older governments doesn't define CHANGE. Constructive Criticisms make good leaders better |

Now he wants to be charged for offences, every sane person ought to give support so corruption can be stamped out of the country to at least as reasonably possible. Truth is, the immediate past government only paid lip service to fighting corruption hence you have lots of accused corrupt people still having the guts to contest for positions in both parties. Apparently, the anti-corruption technology tool they alleged to have used was for only yahoo yahoo boys and was not designed for political thieves. If it was, even the GEJ family should be in jail by now. My only problem with what I quoted was that you said "APC" as a whole including its corrupt leaders and office holders. I just wanted to correct the impression that APC is corruption free. I can boldly tell you there is no corruption free politician in Nigeria and that EFCC is their tool for witch-hunting the opposition. Since it's inception i'm not sure any politician has been jailed. If EFCC was really doing its work not only GEJ but also all the politicians at local and national level will be in jail including OBJ, atiku, Tinubu and saraki etc. None is a saint...... they are all thieves. |

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have advocated death penalty for those found guilty of corruption. The organised labour also called for the establishment of special courts akin to the electoral tribunals to try cases of corruption. Speaking in Abuja ahead of its planned national rally in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption fight, NLC president, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, said capital punishment for those found guilty has helped curb corruption in some Asian countries like China and India. He said Nigeria must be ambitious if it hopes to overcome the menace of corruption, reiterating that if Nigeria does not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria. He said, “We support and call for the establishment of special anti-corruption courts to try corruption cases in the country. www.today.ng/news/090913712-organised-labour-calls-for-capital-punishment-for-treasury-looters/ |

Politics › DSS Warns Of Possible Airport Attack by Boko Haram (ISWAP) by Kcinho(op): 2:48pm On Aug 29, 2015 |
Nigeria’s intelligence agency has warned of a possible attack on the airport in its capital after disrupting what it said was a Boko Haram cell. Authorities said on Friday that a boy, 14, had been arrested for spying on security procedures at Abuja’s airport. Security forces are working to prevent “any possible attack and to ensure adequate security at the airports” in response, the agency said. It said agents are still searching for militants who were directing the boy. He was instructed to pass on details about “passenger screening, boarding procedures and other processes in the departure and arrival halls,” according to a statement from the Department of State Services (DSS). The DSS said the arrest of the 14-year-old had “disrupted a spying network mounted by the Boko Haram terrorists”. It said the network was discovered on Monday and it was working with aviation authorities to pre-empt any attack at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Boko Haram has waged a six-year violent campaign in Nigeria, killing thousands and forcing millions to flee their homes. The bloodshed has been largely confined to the northeast of the country where the group has declared an Islamic state. www.today.ng/news/082910896-dss-warns-of-possible-airport-attack/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

All the gutters here have drains, both sides of the road. There are gutter crossings, even where there are no compounds, ha! The culverts are neatly done, the roads have never seen any potholes, this is serenity redefined, but where is this village?
This is Udi, Enugu state of Nigeria.
Story culled from http://amazingviewpoints..com/
