SexytorresE: I’m not surprised that u visited my profile as well. People lik u don’t disappoint, u are lik Bet9ja even if I bet my slippers not to cut for me to win 1m it will still cut . That’s how u are
I know your type. I won't waste my time replying you any further.
MelesZenawi: Amotekun had abolished itself. No need for Buhari stressing himself further.
But according to warriors on nairaland who are yet to have sound 2-square meal, Yorubas love themselves and Amotekun has come to staysleep.
An outfit as Useless as Amotekun shouldn't be given a breathing space to waste scarce resources.
It is on record that it was all the One million boys and Awawa miscreants that were rampaging west and making life unbearable for residents that SW leaders are recruiting as members of Amotekun.
What a shame.
You are very ignorant and pained that your region has nothing to show than to shed blood.
Toyinjones: Please be informed that the man had been reported to the police several times but the man found his way out(hope you know what am saying). Who brought the bus,I can't say but everyone in the video except the driver are my friends.
I understand. However the fact still remains that covid-19 is not a law enforcement organ. Coming to evacuate a public nuisance is not their work, its law enforcement duty.
Lovelyn451: whats Fulani about him? Is it the tribal marks or that dirty dark complexion? Which Fulani man looks like that? Can he speak fulfude? Abegi...
He is a fulani man and a believer in islamization plan thats why buhari chose him
Alhaji1970: I am so surprised that people are passing comments ignorantly. The man in that picture is not a COVID-19 patient but a mentally sick person. He used to live in that building on Taiwo road, Ilorin. The house was sold out and the new owner is demolishing and renovating but the man, instead of looking for other house/apartment decided to turn his car into a house, doing everything there (you know!). The neighbours were uncomfortable with that nuisance and decided to call on COVID-19 Team (whose contact phone numbers had been well publicised) because of partial lockdown and refusal of few available vehicles to transport him. The COVID-19 ambulance was sent to take him to hospital for psychological treatment. The driver didn't handle the evacuation well. You could hear him abusing the man. That is what the Governor referred to! Kwara State has a solid COVID-19 technical committee, rapid response team, isolation centres and excellent medial personnels enviable to other state.
My brother that still lives a lot for people to speculate. Its not the duty of covid-19 vehicle to evacuate homeless man. Its the duty of the police to enforce law and order don't you think. That video gave a wrong impression coupled with the government action. Thanks for the info though.
alphanyx: Why should the driver be sacked?! Who instructed him to go pick the patient? Why no qualified medical personnel with him after bn instructed to go on "official " duty? Where were the medical people that he was asked to just go and "park" ambulance at a supposed patients place and wait there?! Even as a "common" driver like we choose to call them here, is he not supposed to be provided a modern full kit PPE cos of the nature of his job?! MR GOVERNOR, AFTER SACKING THE COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH AND THE PERSON WHO INSTRUCTED THE DRIVER, SACK YOUR OWN SELF!
KingOfAllIgbos: Nah... lives are at stake. We gotta be objective here.
He messed up and was unfortunate to be captured on video embarrassing the Government....
Someone has to be the sacrificial lamb / scapegoat.
PS - the sad part of the story is that he or a friend of his probably took the video to show off.
This should be a lesson to people who quickly take to social media. It is often evidence to nail yourself. Happened to the security guy in Ekiti who took that video of a man who ejected his son in mockery.
There is someone of higher authority with him that dudnt show in the video. The other group in the saga came in another vehicle tha was not shown in the video. If only the driver can be interview the truth will be revealed.
Deltagate: Governor wey mumu. I no remember when driver turn medical practitioner.
Hmmmm. My thought as well. There was someone of high authority witg the driver that was giving directive that was not talked about in the press statement. The man didnt join the driver in the veichle he said he ll join him at the hospital. Yet only the driver was singled out for punishment. Injutice in nigeria is to high heavens.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday directed the sack of a government driver that unilaterally attended to an unkempt person who was evacuated with a COVID-19 ambulance in Ilorin.
He also directed the issuance of queries to top officials of the state ministry of health for failing to act with necessary caution and expertise in the handling of the incident that was recorded in a video footage that has since gone viral.
“The Governor totally condemns the shoddy handling of the gentleman who was clearly going through a hard time," Rafiu Ajakaye, chief press secretary to the Governor, said in a statement on Wednesday.
“He has directed that the driver be fired immediately. As the investigation revealed, the driver failed to heed clear directive not to take any action until the Rapid Response Team (RRT) arrives the scene. He evacuated the gentleman with the help of members of the public without waiting for the arrival of the RRT."
The Governor further directed that members of the RRT be queried, while other steps are being taken to ensure this incident does not repeat itself. Involving just anybody in the evacuation of a suspected case, as was seen in the footage, was a clear and dangerous violation of COVID-19 safety protocols. The government equally finds it quite distasteful and unacceptable that the driver, who had long been involved in such operations, made unethical comments to somebody in distress.
"That incident was avoidable, and we sincerely apologise to the gentleman and to the people of Kwara State for the embarrassing development. We assure them this will not happen again."

KingSatan: Thank you Kdon2, but I don't think the Government is responsible for how we raise our children.
Over the years, Humans have learnt to outsource their responsibilities to their spiritual heads for morality, neighbors for discipline etc while they are busy birthing more children.
The Government is not responsible for our children going bad.
We parents have failed them.
Hmmmm. Its hard to just dump the blame on the parents. Parents who sent their children to school and no hope or connection to get employment,Or children that are frustrated by criminals in government? I think some of the crime in our country are avoidable had government prove to be more responsible.

You want to be sure so call them na. The story is on premium times. Besides google is your friend you ll see the name of the operation safe haven media officer's name there.
KingSatan: Few minutes after the news hit front-page that Leo aka Micah was was killed by armed military men, i read through the comments section for people's opinion and while some commiserated with the family of the deceased, others with deep insight, questioned the source of his wealth from looks to his assets.
No doubt we live in a morally decayed society where beneficiaries of stolen funds are pushing so hard for everyone to accept the fact that "Illicit Gotten wealth" is legal. But I believe we still have a few people out there, parents, guardians etc who wish that the so called "Yahoo Trend" is fought to the very end within the arms of the law.
"The Truth"
Leo was a Yahoo Boy and an Azaman "As they are fondly called".
And for the world to loose such young soul, then parents of this age have failed!
Parents! Encourage your children to live within their means. Fast wealth is not the way to go.
We must salvage the little that is left or we loose our youths to crime.
There is Dignity in labour.
If we want a better world, we must fix our youths. We must engage them.
I leave the rest to law enforcement.
Leo is gone but those who kidnaped and killed him extrajudicially are still alive. May they be apprehended and punished as our constitution demands.
May God grant rest to the dead.
Big ups for you sir. However our government have so far been very very I responsible making it the more difficult for parents to train and monitor their children well.
Jadsy01: Immigration officers in Bop Daddy Challenge have been posted to Boko Haram hit states
Five female Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) personnel who took part in the viral #BopDaddyChallenge, have been posted to restive states in the country for their troubles, according to NewsWireNGR. In April, NIS issued a query to the ladies, saying their participation in the challenge had caused the organisation “a lot of embarrassment.”
The challenge, a sensation on social media during a coronavirus-induced – ekomiamiblog – lockdown across Nigeria, is one in which ladies flaunt different glowing images of themselves thanks to smartphone-enabled high-resolution photography and editing.
‘Bop Daddy’ is the latest offering from rapper Falz. It features Ms. Banks.twitter.com

In a memo it exclusively obtained, the news platform writes that the officers “have been given just 7 days to report at their new places of assignment.”
The road to Siberia In the postings ostensibly orchestrated to meet punitive and discriminatory objectives, Priscilla Irabor has been transferred from NIS Lagos State Command to the Nigeria Immigration Training School, Kano (ITSK).

passion007: Suspected Coronavirus Patient In Ilorin Picked Up Without Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Oh my goodness!! Look at these men wearing a fabric mask to pick up a suspected covid case
Oh my god, this is the height of irresponsibility by this government. You can't even protect your first responders, but there's PPE to be wasted on burying Abba Kyari, but no PPE to protect these frontline men ignorantly putting themselves at risk to save a life.
This is really depressing!!
Admin and mods need to push this to front page, urgently!!
Nigerian government needs to get her response right.
These frontline staff need to be immediately tested, and quarantined. They also need to sue the government for criminal negligence. There's need to protect all frontline care staff. A fabric mask is useless against coronavirus and it is outrageous someone okayed for these poor men to be sent out to retrieve a coronavirus patient, wearing only a fabric mask. That is criminal!
One Rinji Peter Bala aka Bobo a 300level student of University of Jos from the department of History and International Studies was shot and killed in Jos.
According to reports, Rinji was out around his house with friends when security operatives arrested them thinking they were thieves upon release later shot & killed the 20year old boy.
MahatmaGhandi: After the atrocities of the 2nd World War, if Hitler was a Nigerian, we will have no problem with him in the reigns of government as long as we think he is qualified. Also, why should I be angry that Gambari after being one of those that enabled evil in the past is being called to serve, there are other people that also served in that evil administration that also rose to prominence inspite of all they did. Just call it a reunion of the Abacha administrators and appointees.
This administration is a confederation of evil men.
