What I see is a steel Pedestrian bridge, and I can bet you, it wasn't design. Just a look at the bridge material after collapse, and you'll surely be convinced a road side steel fabricator was contracted without any proper design.
More also, pedestrian bridges are usually design statistically under various load cases, putting into account a factor of safety for overall performance.

The 2nd RNB is an Incrementally launched Pre-stressed box girder bridge, it is very cost effective. It is same with what we (JBN) are handling here at Bodo-Bonny road. The bridge design allows you to span up to 70m pier to Pier (column to column) unlike the conventional beam bridge (be it prestressed or precast).
Moreover, the other types of bridges like the suspension and cable stay bridges you see in those western countries requires "huge" funds.

A family planning conversation came up b/w to married men at my place of work. One complained on how is family planning method by pills, (taken by his wife) failed, thus resulting in the last issue they have. So, he sought counsel from the other man who is more elderly than him on how to go about it, the elderly man responded ;
After my wife and I got the number of children we desired, I took a bold step of faith and made a pronouncement to God that I don't want any other child forthwith, that God should put a cease to it. He said it's eleven years and still counting since he took the faith based step and not a single case of pregnancy.
The elderly man thus advice the other man to follow suit but he vehemently disagree and jettison his faith based approach that such doesn't Work on Child family planning.
What's your take on this ?
