Amosey: I think the first thing you need to know is if the branch of the bank you intend to use can facilitate FX before you apply.
I would suggest you use UBA. To speed up the process you can disturb them with calls telling them how urgent you need to pay. I did but was told they only process payment for bachelors, masters, and PhD. The two banks are First Bank and UBA |

johnstan: You do know that you can take it up with the bank for charging you without initiating your request. If it we're a failed attempt then you can let go of the charges.
The right thing to do is reject the request on the portal with reasons and not leave it there abandoned after debiting you for the transfer charges. I really wish to, but I no want go use POF do vawulence. I sent a mail to CPD @cbn, but didn't get a response. I hope I'm able to fight this injustice someday, because I know of someone whom they processed diploma tuition for. |

hayoBams: Was it stated that they declined it because it's an advanced diploma? I'm genuinely asking a question here. I initiated the application 4th of July, and it moved to the ADB disbursement reviewer stage, they debited the service charge, waited for a month but did not get debited for tuition, went to the branch, and was told that the transaction was declined from the head office, that they only process applications for bachelors, masters, and PhD. I called the customer care line and got the same response, I have a record of the call. They did not reject the application on the TRMS portal but left it untreated. |

Please I also need the experts' opinion regarding SOWP. I want my spouse and kids as home ties and they will join me, God willing, when I get my study permit. How best should I answer the question in the picture attached? bullstriker: 1. You can apply with your family even for a one-year program if you can demonstrate you have sufficient funds and home ties. Otherwise, you can apply alone, then once you get to Canada, send them a copy of your study permit and proof of full-time enrolment for them to apply immediately. If you complete a 1-year program, you will be eligible for a 1-year PGWP; with a 2-year program, you will receive a 3-year PGWP. If you want them to apply after you have completed your studies, you can apply for your PGWP with theirs. For your spouse to be eligible for SOWP, you must work in a NOC A, B or O (Skilled job). 2. Your GPA has nothing to do with this. You can apply together or apply for them when you come to Canada. 3. For most Master’s programs, you need at least a 2.1. However, some consider your GPA for the last two years. 4. Yes, you can.

Ok, thank you for responding. xxsandyxx: It is easier and faster to apply together. She can always join you later when she wishes. Do SOWP alone takes a longer period |

Hello Ketima, I saw your post about sowp on thread 21. Please if I am applying alone, is it advisable to indicate in my application that my spouse would join me or not? Ketima: Hello,
Recently, we have seen that people can enter Canada months before resumption of class. But have it in mind that it's not worth it if;
1). You don't have family to stay with 2). You won't need to pay for house rent 3). You won't need to feed yourself
I assure you that no need wasting the precious money you have coming here early cos you can't start work until your class resumes. So you will end up spending the one you have. I must tell you, without work, coming here on time is a waste. |

johnstan: Do you mind stating the reason for the decline to educate others.
I know someone whose own was declined based on sudden account turnover, they claimed that he had never had such account inflow before so his sudden lump sums disqualified him. Again they are all tactics cos the demand is more than the available fx can cover. I had submitted my documents at the branch earlier and it was approved, they debited the 5k service charge for Form A processing, and my application moved to ADB disbursement reviewer stage. After 1month, I got someone to help me follow up with the application but I was told they do not process for diplomas and the transaction was declined. However, I did not see any notice or work note to that effect on the portal so I went to the processing branch. According to what I was told at the branch today, FBN no longer processes tuition payments outside bachelor's,masters and PhD. I called Firstcontact and I got the same response. I wish there is a way to fight this injustice. |

johnstan: You can apply for your form A request, don't panic.
The processing time is quite long, this is usually within 30 - 40 days so if you have an alternative or a deadline you might want to rethink.
Some people feel that smaller banks process faster than larger banks but I'm no sure how true that is.
Once you apply please ensure your account is funded from when it is approved till it's processed so it doesn't get rejected with insufficient funds as the reason - you will start all over and wait another 30-40days for it.
Good luck First Bank declined mine after 1month of staying on the queue. |

People of God, this is true ooo. I confirmed at the branch and headquarter. First Bank no longer processes diploma tuition. Dunno where to start. Kehmy: Good evening everyone.
Please is it true that Nigerian banks do not process payment with Form A for a diploma course?
I've been on form A processing for over a month now but a bank staff just told me it won't fly because it's a diploma. That they only process bachelor's and master's degrees. |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Kehmy(f): 6:59pm On Aug 17, 2022 |
johnstan: Not true. Form A is for invisible payments (payments for services), it could be school fees, medical fees, dues/remittances etc. You just need the right documents to process one which I'm sure you have hence the reason you submitted your request.
The challenge is as a result of FX unavailability from CBN to process these requests considering the recent surge in invisible payments and the devaluation of the Naira.
Banks will treat on first come first serve, who you know and how urgent it is.
Keep disturbing them and ensure your account is always funded for the debit so they don't get to your turn and see that you've withdrawn your funds - if that happens you will have to reapply and wait for another 40days.
Good luck. Thanks for the response, I'll keep disturbing them. |

RelaxingEnd: That's the problem. The portal says I can't cancel or reschedule on appointment date. And I need to get another appointment today for tomorrow. I'm now thinking of registering a new account so I could just go ahead and book for tomorrow. Hi Since the response you got was that you can not register or cancel on the appointment date, you should be able to reschedule tomorrow. My friend had a similar issue and was able to reschedule but not on that day. |

Nezzel: I am not an agent, I don't work with any immigration agency and I didn't put any add. I have never applied or promised to apply for any form of Visa for anybody.. Ever I dont even know how to. I was just here following what other people are doing.
I dont have any ulterior motive when I formally introduced myself here..
I only introduced myself, because I feel this is a family I would like to be officially part of because of our common interests.
It's only admission I know how to apply.. Nothing else, that's why I came here for guidance..
This guy came from nowhere and said that he knows me, that I scammed someone..
Please I want him to prove it. Let him state where he knew me from Who I scammed Where and when He should also bring the person forward.. @Nezzel, what do you have to say about the attached screenshot?

Kehmy: Hello gurus in the house,
Please I need help with my visa documentation.
I am a business owner (co-owned by my husband and I) while my hubby also has a full-time job. I have paid the full tuition for year 1 and I have an investment certificate of 5m but I want to use hubby as the sponsor(is it compulsory to use him as a sponsor?). Please I will like to know how many statement-of-accounts I need to use (I have SOA for business, hubby and myself).
Also, I will like to know if there are other documents I need to add to the list below.
A list of documents I have now 1. Letter of acceptance 2. Tuition receipt 3. Business tax receipt 4. CAC certificate and the form used for registration 5. Upfront medical 6. Police clearance 7. Certificate of investment of 5m 8. Letter of explanation 9. Statement-of-Accounts 10. Gift deed from my dad
Thank you in anticipation Thank you for the response @leyemoshood and bullstriker. Congratulations to those who just got approvals, may God grant our hearts' desires. Please in addition, how much is the advisable minimum balance for each of the accounts (considering the 5m investment that's available)? |
