Hey Makylove, I think you may have missed this question that someone asked some lines back. I am also interested in the answer because of some other people I know, so I will try and ask it again. maybe rephrased. You shared that you hadn't been to Canada before you got the ten years. but had you been to other countries? What is your travel history prior to the ten-year visa? I would like to know because yours is a bit more recent than mine, so I want to know if the Canadian govt is okay issuing long-term visit visas to people with no travel history, in recent times.

Canada will give you visa based on the validity of your passport.

Please I will like to know the procedure for applying for visa on arrival. I had my baby in Canada and have already booked a ticket for the baby.
I read that I need a visa approval letter but don't know how to go about it and I don't want to use an agent. Please can someone kindly put me through the process. Travelling in less than 2 weeks
I don't know how VOA works but since you have 2 weeks why not apply for an Emergency Travel Document from the embassy. You can give them a call but they are usually closed on Mondays, I think

Hi guys

Pls does anyone have an idea of any ‘newcomer or volunteer’ services in Mississauga, Ontario that can help with filing taxes for last year?
My tax situation for last year is not complicated, that’s when we landed.
Not exactly willing to do it myself online cos it’s the first time, would love to get it done professionally. Subsequently, I’ll do it myself with TurboTax.

Thanks

Check TCET (Center for Education and Training).

PR card doesn't have to be linked immediately you land. I know some who did not link and got their cards. I linked mine 7 weeks after landing and got my PR card one week after; exactly 8 weeks after landing.

Please how do i link my PR card, i tried using the option of "link an existing application" but after putting all the right info. I got the error msg, that the request cannot be found

Good morning everyone, pls i have a similar question as regards this passport validty, and frm wat i read above or better still understand one does not need to send any message to cic if u renew ur passport as long as ur visa is still valid.

Here is my story.

Hubby's passport expires sept 2...b4 visa was issued,LVO sent us a message saying if we wanted visa on d same passport considering that ot was expiring in sept...n as at the time dey asked we were in January.so the passport still had 9months validty.Der was no way immigration wld hv issued anothet passport as at then.
Now we hv visa n we r leaving may. Passport will be 3 months to expiry and we hear immigration will not allow him go.unless passport has a validty of 6monthhs

i think its at the discretion of the airline, i traveled with less than 1 month validity and i had no issues at all. I never even for once felt there would be issue anyway.

Please has anyone ever submitted 5 months bank statement + 5 months old Treasury billz and gotten PPR here?

What I submitted was 6mth statement of my salary account in Bank A (no funds), then the TBill certificate which was about 3mth old but the tenor was 257days at Bank B which was supported by a reference letter from Bank B stating when the account was opened and that I am the signatory.

Not yet. On the portal, my application has been approved but no PUM yet. Sent them series of mails but no response. So, just waiting.

Send a mail to a accra and tell them you might have deleted it in error and would like to confirm if the mail was ever sent. That was what I did after several reminders and they sent it the next day

Yey!!! Welcome to Canada and thanks for coming back with feedback on Ethiopian Airline.

Yes, I've bought our Ethiopian airline ticket at an unbelievably cheap price and I'm glad you had a positive experience. Hopefully, we will have a sweet experience too.

Did you pass through Toronto? (YYZ) if yes, how long did it take you to complete your immigration process?

We're a family of 4. How long would you say we should plan to spend at the airport from Landing and taking a vehicle to our destination?

How much are we talking about here?

Greetings fellow Canadians (and wannabes... lol na play I dey ooo)

I finally departed lagos via Ethiopian airways last friday (22 sept). Had 8 bags for a family of 4 and 6 hand luggages. All this stuff after repeatedly warning the packing crew (madam and family) to limit the weight to recommended levels. Well we made it tru without much hassle. All the official's didn't give us any hassle after they saw my little terror squad (kids) already terrorising us. Nobody checked our food stuff. At Toronto customs they just collected the declaration card and asked us to proceed. Got me wishing that I had brought more stuff. The food served on the Ethiopian airline flights was just there. Na only d rice make sense joor. And please try to eat if u have time to before joining a connecting flight in canada. On my connecting flight within Canada they were only accepting credit cards as payment for food (air canada). well I made it to a warm bed by 11pm, Vancouver time on saturday, but it was around 9 am on Sunday in nigeria. We thank God for his grace. On Monday we went out to look at some apartments and get sin numbers. We also registered for medical insurance. We couldn't get service BC Identity cards because we needed our pr cards as part of the two id''s to present. They wanted our passports and our pr cards. So we will need to visit again for that. Have found the town we r in to b nice and quiet. Well that's all for now. Lemme face my daddying duties. Omo na now I appreciate my kids nanny!!!!! I ALSO MISS SPANKING THE KIDSS!!! ARGHHHH! lol. This tough daddy has been humbled by laws. It seem's my kids (4 & 6) were just waiting to come here ooo. They have become "AWARE" like skynet. Thank God the Lil one has a yr to wait before he starts school. God will help us to adjust.

Hi Paul, please what was your POE using Ethiopian airline. Am concerned because I noticed that the wait time btw Dublin and the next connecting flight is just about 1hr. Will this be sufficient. Any immigration check at Addis too?

Secondly house, I intend to fly on the day my infant clocks too. I hope he will not be reclassified as a child. I need your inputs please

Good day beautiful mamas and papas in the house! Thank you for all you do to make this forum worthwhile. I gave birth to a very cute boy on Monday through VD! He weighed 4.1kg.

Atlanta moms, please can someone be kind enough to tell me if any notary public can sign the consent form for my LO's passport or it has to be US embassy notarised? We don't stay in Lagos and my husband wouldn't want to travel to Lagos except if that is the only option.

Thank you.

Yes, a public notary is accepted. That was what I used.

U bot cheap. A painter (4lltr bucket) is 2500 here in ph. And I don't tink it is even up to 5kg cos crayfish are usually light weight.
