Uzoreen:u would definitely be put on the next flight, no worries☺ |
Hello peeps, Just an update that we got our COPR today!! AOR: 10th October, 2017 PPR:23rd May, 2018 PP Submitted at VFS: 28th May Application Approved: 14th June Passport dispatched from Accra: 20th June Ready for collection mail: 26th June COPR and PP collected: 27th June. I wish everyone waiting at one stage or the other in this Canada journey Godspeed. It will end in praise! On to the next phase....Whewww!. |
Saintp:Not yet. |
kamela:I know the wait can be something else(had to wait over 7months post AOR before PPR) but my advice is to be patient and put your mind at rest. D current trend with LVO nowadays is 7-8 months and don't expect any confirmation mail for the ADR. Just a little while and PPR will drop. |
agates:Please go ahead and renew your passport. Raise CSE to inform LVO once it's out. Godspeed! |
prideandjoy:sent u a pm. |
Flaj:Thanks a great deal. Really appreciate! |
Hi guys, nice to port from the express entry thread to this one. Expecting my COPR in a couple of days and I need some information to aid in my planning for the final movement to cannyland. I plan to settle my wife and two kids in Calgary ( cos I would be doing soft landing while family remains behind) and I would appreciate responses to d following questions, especially from Calgarians. 1.Which community is most recommended to settle, in terms of safety, infrastructures, proximity to public transport and very good elementary schools? 2.How easy is securing rental apartments by new comers and d possible steps to follow? 3.Which bank is most highly rated for new comers to Canada 4. Most recommended mobile phone service/network Since I don't have any contact at Calgary, would greatly appreciate any volunteer to assist us settle and adjust to our new community when we arrive. Hope to get great contributions from d dependable nairaland family, as I did with the express entry thread. |
GlitteringStar:My thoughts exactly. Thanks |
wholesomegrace:Thanks for the link. My confusion though, going by all the forms in d link u sent is whether it is compulsory to fill d form, or only if u have additional family info/ composition, as d instruction on d PPR letter seem ambiguous. Abeg, those that have gotten COPR should weigh in. E se gan! |
wholesomegrace:I guess d extra charges must be a rackket. Anyways, where can I get d IMM0008 form? |
That PPR mail only stated N14,350
Confused here., My own PPR letter( not email) did not mention any price. Just opened d vfs link on d letter and what is stated there is even N13,890. Wonder y reference is being made to an " email" here o, cos I just got d normal" u have a mail in your account" , logged on and opened d attached letter as a pdf file( see attachment). Abeg oo. cc:@emelueob |

Long post alert!!! My PPR Story........ ITA: 22/09/17 CRS score was 433, ITA CRS Cut off-433 Knew from that point that God was favourably disposed towards us! Med Exam: Children's practice, Ikoyi The tension high small ooo, as plenty thoughts dey cross my mind that day( no be wetin u dey think sha) AOR: October 10 Gathered all my documents a week after ITA. Couldn't get ref letter in CIC format from employer, especially d JD part( my supervisor wrote and signed one for me though). Used only TB certificates as POF( said a prayer before pressing d submit key after filling and uploading all docs) Med passed: Oct 22.....was as if I won lottery(lol) Requested GCMS on January 23 and received feb 22....( could deduce file was transfered to LVO on 22nd Nov). A11.2 eligibility was passed already and both notes from program assistant and case processing agents were all positive( heaved a great sigh of relief cos i was worried about d NOC i chose but all panned out great). Knew at that point that it was just a matter of time( kept praying and fasting sha o for the VO to just accept d agent's recommendations without query) Ip2: Feb 27... d mass movt day started checking my account and refreshing my mail every single day from that day( u can imagine), hoping for PPR. April 10...exactly 6 months post AIR, I sent a status update to LVO and got the reply that my file was awaiting review( was heart broken...haba, so my file just dey hibernate for close to 5months at LVO without activity). I ordered another set of notes same day and received on 6th May.........same old story, no update since file moved to LVO( At that point, I just wished I could appear at LVO and rant d whole place down, especially when latter AOR dates were getting PPR). ALAS!!!!!The Eagle Landed at 10.48am this morning(U can imagine d drama that ensued in my office when I read d mail) No ADR throughout d process. So much more to say but make I end am here for now! Indeed, He makes all things beautiful in his own time! Thank u all for d contributions and information received during this wait time. I pray your testimonies too will be complete IJN. |
My people, abeg make una gather around !! Smrin jus hapn rai naw( In Lasisi's voice) It's PPRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Make I finish work for today, come update una. It has ended in PRAISE!!!! |
sunvick:Best day to receive PPR?......FRIDAY!! |
armanilove:Congrats. abeg share your timeline jare |
Newmum0615:Mine is 7months 8 days today. Apparently, not touched for 6months post transfer to London VO. Na just to "watch n pray". He makes all things beautiful in his own time! |
prideandjoy:Congrats. All d best! |
ednut1:Not true. @ariegurl, PM me if u need my contact's details. Would get his consent first though. |
ednut1:The 50USD is not official please!. Just did mine last week without paying a dime. |
redocean:Haba! May 3 is just about 2 weeks ago. Abeg calm down. Make u thank God for your own ooo. |
Ariegurl:Unilorin does not charge any fee for document confirmation sent by WES. However, if u confirm that your documents have been sent to them for verification, u need to confirm if it was sent during the NASU strike. if so, u have to get d details of when it was sent exactly so it can be traced. |
armanilove:Just order your gcms notes (from getgcms.com or any other org) and can also raise CSE using the web form on IRCC Website. |
mosky47:"Ghost update" is when u log in to your account and see "updated" in d status column instead of "submitted", with no actual "update" in your account when you click on d status of application. Usually changes back to "submitted" once u log out and log in again. You won't get any mail for a "ghost update". |
mcstan18:In fact, MFM style o. Funny enough, both notes from d programme asst.and case processing agent at CIO gave favourable recommendations with no red flags. Got moved to London on 27/11/17. E be like na "fall down and die" abi na "fire" prayer my VO deserve at this point. ![]() |
mcstan18:3 months weak u Mine has been lying there untouched for 6 months, according to gcms notes. I Don tire |
New measures to combat abuse of U.S. travel documents in Nigeria aimed at mitigating irregular migration at its source. Read the news release: https:///7J3t7RJmMr #cdnref |
theconsortium:May I ask y u intend to use an agent? The truth is u would end up doing most of d job for which u hired and probably paid an agent for such as PCC, medicals, ielts, Wes etc. The agent would only upload these documents for u and probably help fill d application( for which u face d risk of d agent filling wrong info or omitting something). I urge u to research, take advantage of the step by step guide this forum offers and fill d application/ processing by yourself. Ask questions whenever you get stuck. Using an Agent won't give u any advantage whatsoever. Its safer to take RESPONSIBILITY for your own application. My 5cents. |
Hi guys, Just to share the information I got today. I was @ VFS Lekki to submit my Passport, the man @ the submission desk explained to me that my passport will be sent to ACCRA, and I will have to pay #14,350 for each passports attached to my application. I explained to him the PPR mail I got and how I assumed my Passport will be treated by the Lagos Visa Office. He then explained that the change only meant that passports can’t be sent to ACCRA directly through DHL anymore. Everybody will have to go through VFS. Toh……they accept cash only@VFS Cheers!
Thanks for d info |
Virt:Big Congrats! We are getting there. |
