docadams: Whatever she does is none of your business. The constitution guarantees her the freedom to associate and to air her opinion to a reasonable extent and I don't think she has exceeded the limit. She's not airing an opinion on this thread, point of correction. She's being a mMoron, a nuisance and an internet tout, just like you. The OP's question is very easy to comprehend: Tell us the achievements of Buhari in the South-East. Berem, Docadams, Gbawe, Obiagelli and the rest of the shills prefer to either drag Jonathan into the discussion, or tell bare-faced lies without backup (Docadams) on the reasons for the total failure of their general in all of his 6 years as PTF chairman. |

docadams: PTF apparently did not build roads in the SE because it allowed itself to become a victim of the typical malaise plaguing the political landscape of the SE. Their politicians hijack all government contracts and embezzle the fund without qualms. It happens in other regions but the SE case is very pathetic because little or nothing will be done. The masses, themselves, do not care because of the believe that material success is divine no matter the manner it was achieved. I lived and worked in Enugu throughout the PTF era. Up untiluntil 2005 the effect of its intervention was still being felt especially in UNTH. On the issue of road construction the people should hold Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu responsible because he was the highest ranking Abaca apologist in that era and, as such, enjoyed a lot of patronage by way of ffederal contracts. He was allegedly awarded the contract for the Enugu-PH road but ended up doing a 'shovel and head pan job'. Please, give us concrete evidence that Buhari and his PTF ever attempted to work in the East or shut your smelly mouth. If this your own attempt at debating issues and winning a South-Eastern electorate, then you're even dumber than your BuhaRETARD. |

berem: sadly and unfortunately! They have made up their minds to vote for the Otuoke clown. No need for the back and forth arguments. As for me and my family,we will vote for Buhari. If you always knew their minds were made up, then why did you bother posting on the thread in the first place only to expose your own cluelessness? Your family is already voting GMB as you said. Then, what the hell are you still doing on this thread? Or are you just jobless and looking to boost your post count? |

Gbawe: Simple !!! This is the message I am trying to get across to you APC and GMB supporters. With work to be done, why waste time entertaining those who only crave your indulgence in their silly games they think they can disguise as an 'objective' discussion? See how quickly the chap you quote unravelled as an ethnocentric bigot who is talking of "enemies of Ndigbo" when, as Nigerians, we should simply be focused on seeking leaders who will set this potentially great nation on the path of progress.
There is nothing at all to be gained taking ethnocentric and prejudiced folks seriously. They have already made up their mind to vote along ethnic and religious lines. These people are in the gutter already. Don't join them there and don't dignify their silliness with your serious responses they have no interest in.Nothing you show them about Buhari matters a jot to the hardened bigots. Save your serious and analytically informative responses for serious threads and progressive posters. Please, I personally am not here for ethnocentric babbles, but to be educated on the wonderous performance of your hardworking, upright and saintly general. Tell us what he did for the South-East in all his 6 years as PTF chairman as well as his 1.5 years as Head of State. Constantly, we have witnessed the attempts by the GMB camp to blackmail Igbos into abandoning Jonathan (oooh, it wasn't "ethnocentric" then) because according to them "GEJ did nothing for the Igbos". But now the questions we ask you political geniuses are... 1. What did Buhari do for the South-East in all his 6 years as PTF chairman and almost 2 years as Head of State? 2. With the answers to (1) above, what, in your opinion, makes him a better option to the South-Easterners? You only expose your disastrously poor intelligence when you try to run away from the topic by citing "Ethnocentric motives" which only linger in your own guilty conscience. Please, we await your answers. Feel free to Google while you're at it too. |

Gbawe: Obiagelli, Berem, Chamboy et al, do you guys see the typical response you get when you waste your time trying to provide serious responses to the mischievous and deceitful questions posed by hardened ethno-religious bigots who will always be driven by their own prejudice and parochial agenda?
Even if Jesus came to show that Buhari did very well for the entire Nigeria in the little time he had, to the extent evidence of that is still amply visible today, you will still have unrepentant bigots who will remain disinterested while fervently shouting"GEJ till 3030" on behalf of a failed leader who has done nada for any corner of our nation in 5 years. Please, what are those achievements Buhari had in the South-East? Cite them, please. Don't try to derail. |

Obiagelli: Past presidents? Who built all the roads in the southeast? Was it gej?
Who built the Enugu airport? Was it gej?
The universities, hospitals and schools, who built them? Was the south east a desert before gej, and what exactly has gej done in the south east List what your general has done for the South-East with concrete proof and stop trying to derail by calling GEJ. You people are so empty and uncouth with your arguments and you still wonder why your general constantly loses elections. If Buhari did anything for the East, surely, it can't be hard to find. List out those achievements or quietly get out of the thread, you nuisance. |

Please, don't ever insult Nelson Mandela's name like that again. Don't ever try it again. Never in your life should you attempt this again.
Nelson Mandela was a man who fought for the well-being of his race in the face of oppression. He was locked in jail for 27 years, but never backed down. He stood his ground, was tortured and humiliated, but took it and smiled. He looked out for his race, and fought, AND bled, for the RIGHTS of his people.
You can never compare that to a geriatric old nincompoop who toppled a democratic government and committed countless acts of human rights abuse against the people he was supposed to lead. You can never compare Mandela to an illiterate who strangled press freedom, destroyed human rights and oversaw numerous unlawful executions during his regime. A man who passed retroactive laws to execute people.
You internet bum-lickers make my stomach churn with your disgusting sycophancy. Trash.
It is a crime against human intellect to even mention them both in a sentence. Never, ever, try this rubbish again. |

He's vying for the seat of the president under APC, but also hoping Atiku picks him as his vice if he wins, while at the same time fielding his son-in-law as the APC candidate for Imo, so he could simply ask him to step down if his presidential ambition yields no fruit. Rochas has his eyes on the seats of the president, vice president and governor all at the same time. |

omenka: I don't think so. Post you "like" are actually posts you like. You can't like a post you find annoying or disapprove of, and sometimes, situations arise when you want to make reference to those "annoying" posts/threads. But you can mark as "favourite" a post you don't necessarily agree with. That is the difference.
Catch my drift?? Yeah, I suppose. |

Nairaland General › Re: Attention Seun. by Kenai: 3:28pm On Nov 05, 2014 |
omenka: Have been thinking about this for some time. I'm not a tech guru but I think what I'm suggesting is quite feasible.
I was wondering if Seun could be so kind as to create a "favourite" button at the top of each thread created. There are certain threads containing posts to which members might want to reference in their subsequent posts but can't do so because of the stress of sifting through one's posts (some of which run into 50pages+). Making it possible to mark some posts/threads as favourite would make it easy for such posts/threads to be accessed when the need arises.
Just a suggestion. That's what the 'Like' button really does. When you like a post, visit https://www.nairaland.com/omenka, and click on "Posts I've Liked". Also, you can just "Follow" (this sucks sometimes) a thread, and open your "Followed Topics" to see the list. |
Politics › SHOCKING: Saudi Arabia Outlaws 'tempting' Eyes - Women Should Now Cover Eyes Too by Kenai(op): 3:25pm On Nov 05, 2014 |
A new law in Saudi Arabia banning ‘tempting eyes’ has become the latest example of female oppression in the country. The law, which states that women with alluring eyes will be forced to wear a full veil, has been branded ‘stupid’ by dissenters and roundly criticised on social media, aina.org reports. Sheikh Motlab al Nabet, spokesman of the Saudi Arabian Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, said they ‘had the right’ to force women to cover their face. ‘The men of the committee will interfere to force women to cover their eyes, especially the tempting ones,’ he said. ‘We have the right to do so.’ Many commentators wondered how the word ‘tempting’ would be applied. One unnamed journalist in the country suggested it referred to ‘uncovered eyes with a nice shape and makeup.’ ‘Or even without makeup, if they are beautiful, the woman will be in trouble,’ they added. Prince Naif, whose impending ascension to the Saudi throne many hoped would spell an end to this kind of draconian oppression, looks likely to be as intolerant as his father King Abdullah after suggesting that any Muslim should support the Committee’s new law. ‘The committee is supported by all sides,’ he said. ‘It should be supported because it is a pillar of Islam. If you are a Muslim, you should support the committee.’ http://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2014/11/05/foreign/saudi-arabia-outlaws-tempting-eyes/ |
