Politics / Shocker: Aregbesola's Oponimo.com Website Has Finally Changed Hands! [photos] by Kenai: 2:56pm On Jun 10, 2015
When the Osun State government launched the much-touted Opon Imo initiative on national television (to the praise and admiration of many staunch APC supporters), they equally launched and advertised an official reference website to support the program and tackle all the frequently asked questions regarding the Opon Imo tablets.

The government of Osun State is presenting the “Opon Imo” – Tablet of Knowledge project. The initiative is directed at improving the quality of education and its sector in the state by embracing technology.

Why do you people comment without any kind of knowledge about the subject matter?

Instead of reading and learning like these kids, you people prefer to stay lazy and ignorant.

It's even listed as their official site on their Twitter handle:

But to my utter shock and disbelief, I visited the website just recently and found this!

Opon Imo website has changed to chinko! shocked

But the fact that even the Opon Imo handlers haven't found this out is an indication that they've probably abandoned the program a long time ago.
Jesus Christ! The man really pulled a fast one on these people shocked

I must say, though...

Since I was born,
and now I am getting old,
I have never seen the lord CHENJISS, CHENJISS, CHENJISS, CHENJISS grin

Politics / Re: Opon Imo Launched By Osun Today by Kenai: 9:14pm On Jun 04, 2015
A few observations can be made from this thread:

The people who opposed this program pointed to its unsustainability as a major factor. Spending billions acquiring tablets for SS students (a recurrent fluctuating numerical statistic) instead of building and equipping computerized libraries (a fixed statistic) that would educate generations to come, was heavily derided and adjudged the height of fiscal recklessness. The fact that Osun state was a largely agrarian unit even made matters worse.
However, the supporters of the program never gave a clear reason for supporting it. They also never spared a second to think about the possible repercussions. It was all about shaming the "bad belle people".
Zero intellectual might and very little forethought.

...
..
.
..
...
...Are we about to get into the same problem on the national level?
Does this ring a bell with a certain N5000 allowance program some people are blindly defending with their lives even without sparing a second to think about the utter absurdity of the program as well as its inevitable consequences?

Oh, so now he even acknowledges the existence of SURE-P funds?
Wasn't he the same desperado who said the SURE-P fund was nothing but a big scam in 2012? Many of his tweets echoed that thought:

But as long as it was against GEJ, any lie was welcome.

I keep saying it that El-Rufai is a very dangerous creature capable of inciting the ignorant into violence using nothing but lies if things don't go his way.

Could you believe that this short devil said this on March 10th...

Only to still turn around and say this THE FOLLOWING DAY...

What a pity!
This is the animal some people would come out tomorrow and say they look up to.
Now I see. It was NEVER about honesty or sincerity. It was just about giving the dog a bad name to hang it. Anything was okay. Any lie was alright, as long as it favored his political ambition.

Anybody risking their life over these lying, deceitful politicians is a FOOL, and I say it with all honesty.

And so far, all these "projects" only exist as 3D models for 8 fvcking years of his administration, yet this same Ogundamisi praises him. Who does this ugly imp think he's calling out for hypocrisy?
Is he done calling out Bukola Saraki the chief destroyer of Kwara State who has turned the area into his family property?

Is he done calling out his masters Tinubu and Fashola for this multi-billion naira Sunborn scam?

This dumb, ugly Twitter imp needs to go look for someone else to fool with his stupidity please.

Isn't it just funny that these APC hungry rats can praise Tinubu for opening his smelly mouth to say he's against corruption, but when someone from outside their party echoes the same thoughts, you see them up in arms like hormonal middle-aged virgins, trying to shout the person down?

YOUR Femi Gbajabiamila was on Channels TV last month trying to justify the jumbo Package received by Lawmakers, yet you douche nozzles keep screaming change. How convenient.
Please, look for some other political personality to pick on, because this current tactic is dead on arrival.

And by the way, this is Ben Bruce during the Fuel Subsidy debate, talling about the need to cut down the jumbo pay of the lawmakers.
This is as early as 2011, so this belief didn't just start today.

Politics / Re: Seun Kuti Goes Hard On Oby Ezekwesili Over Al Jazeera Interview by Kenai: 8:50pm On May 02, 2015
Madam Due Process was really blown open in that interview. Let's not even sugarcoat it.
Watch the interview and see for yourself:

[flash=640,480]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAY04VWpWfE[/flash]

Clearly, Dr. Oby's understanding of a politician is a "member of a political party", but Mehdi was quick to point out to her that holding 2 ministerial positions, acting as adviser to the president and serving as World Bank Vice President already made her a politician.
Her shameless defence of Obasanjo's administration also exposed her as a hypocrite.

7:43

Mehdi: Sure you would agree that the root causes of Boko Haram aren't just the radical Islamist ideology but also political grievances and marginalisation. And don't you think members of the political elite like yourself should also take responsibility for neglecting them?

Oby: I have been very vocal about the failure of the political elite class which I am a part of. I mean, I'm not going to pretend like a belong to a lonely class...

Mehdi: Well, with respect to other instances where you have said you were not a politician, I'm glad you're finally accepting that today.

Oby: But no, I am not a politician.

Mehdi: Really? Then what are you?

Oby, I do not belong to a political party...

Mehdi: But you were a government minister?

Oby: Well, that's where you're wrong...

Mehdi: So you weren't a government minister?

Oby: Well, we do not practice the West's minister type of government. We practice presidential system...

Mehdi: Ministers are not politicians?

Oby: I became a politician without having to carry Party cards and dance in the village.

Mehdi.. Your definition of a politician is a person who does not belong to a party? If you were the Minister of education, If you were the minister of solid minerals, if you were the vice president of world bank, If you were an adviser to African presidents, you're not a politician?

Oby: well...

Mehdi: That's a very narrow definition.

Oby: Well... ehm... well... it depends on how brrrrrrroadly...

Foreign Affairs / PHOTO: SA Lists States That Helped Their Apartheid Fight - Nigeria Not Listed! by Kenai: 2:28pm On Apr 29, 2015
The final nail on the coffin of Nigeria's Sense of entitlement?
Twitter user @Mokhathi recently paid a visit to his native Freedom Park in South Africa, a park/museum created in honor of the Black Liberation struggle and the eventual abolishment of Apartheid. And inside the museum rests a board/Plaque recognizing and appreciating the various countries that came to their aid in numerous fields during those trying times.

But what I found most interesting is the fact that Nigeria wasn't for once mentioned on that list.
Take a look and examine the list yourselves:

When you juxtapose this with the numerous stories we've heard about how Nigerian leaders spent billions helping South Africa as well as arm-twisting the Brits by indigenizing their companies, it's even more weird. Even Ghana, Tanzania, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia and Lesotho were recognized, but not the self-proclaimed Giant of Africa with its "Big Daddy" complex.

Isn't it funny that, during the decade Nigerian military officers were spending those billions of dollars "helping" far away South Africa, Bayelsa wasn't even on the national grid?
Isn't it funny that, during the decade our "leaders" were spending those billions, numerous towns and villages in the Niger Delta had its locals drinking, washing, bathing, swimmig, DEFECATING, cooking and EATING from the same water source?

Isn't it funny that the same country "spending billions" to "liberate" another couldn't even boast of reliable electricity or a functional steel mill to aid its industrial sector?

This is when you begin to ask if the so-called 'Black Emancipation' spree, embarked on by our leaders at that period, was really an honest fight for justice or one big, overbloated ego trip meant to serve their interests and line their pockets. From the oil boom of the 70's which only translated to flashy, nonsensical Jamborees like FESTAC77 and ECOMOG noise, were the 70's and 80's really about exemplary Leadership or just self-serving idiocy?

As a final shot, I'd advise my fellow Nigerians (especially our leaders) to shun this "pan African" foolishines and FOCUS on just serving the people who elected them, not some strangers hundreds of miles away!

Pan-Africanism is a FARCE. Has always been so; will always be so.

PS: E really pain this my guy! grin

I have no option than to conclude that Obasanjo should have been left to rot in that jail all along.

Politics / Starving Rivers Pensioners Cry Out To Amaechi To Pay Their 3 Month Arrears by Kenai: 5:58pm On Apr 20, 2015
Pensioners in Rivers State have appealed to the State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, to pay them their three months pension arrears before the end of April, 2015.

The pensioners, who spoke on Sunday under the auspices of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners, Rivers State Chapter, lamented that the state government had not paid them (pensioners) since January this year.

A statement by the State NUP Chairman, Mr. Edward Festus-Abibo, and Secretary, Mr. Joseph Agbo, disclosed that members of the union had been suffering untold hardship as a result of the unpaid arrears.

It explained that such ugly situation had not happened in the past, even as he wondered why politicians and other workers had received their pay to date, except the pensioners in the state.

The pensioners said, “We regret to inform you that senior citizens of this state have not been paid their monthly pension allowance since January, 2015 to date (three months).

“We are suffering untold hardship under the midst of plenty. This kind of ugly situation has never occurred in the history of Rivers State. It is unbelievable that Rivers State Government owes pensioners when politicians and other workers have been paid up to March 2015.

“What evil have we committed that warrant this type of punishment? ]Before we were paid December, 2014, we protested twice and lost two of our members during the protest.

“What an ugly situation! Presently, some of our members had been sent to their grave because of lack of medical care and starvation.”

It noted that pensioners in the state were currently owed six per cent increment since October 1, 2003 and 15 per cent increment since 2007, adding that such increases had been computed and sent to the governor for approval and release of fund for the past two years.

The statement added, “Recently, pension increase of 33 percent has been approved with effect from 1st July, 2010 and the State Government had not implemented it.

“We therefore, call on the state government to pay our monthly pension allowances for the months of January, February and March 2015 and other outstanding increases on pensions from 2003 to date before the end of this month (April).”

Politics / Re: Fashola Is Corrupt, He Cannot Accuse Yoruba Leaders Of Betrayal – Afenifere by Kenai: 9:56pm On Mar 25, 2015
Before Fashola can run his mouth against those who have been at the vanguard of the battle for federalism in Nigeria before he was born, we ask him to publicly declare his assets today against the Mercedez Benz 200 flat boot and Sagem handset which he brought to Alausa when Tinubu appointed him as Chief of staff in 2002.

Hahahahaaa! Oh ma days! grin

Fashola has yet to respond to the scandal of the metal scraps he went to pick from Canada which he is passing off to Lagosians as
light rail in multi-billion Naira scam.

I have said this before and I will say it again - Fashola can only be exalted by the ignorant and uninformed.
Fashola is and has always been a mediocre bum gassed up by the syncophantic Lagos media hype, an unwarranted self-importance and a vainglorious sanctimony of unprecedented proportions.

Swell! Here our saviour comes again, dear Fashola, with his 3,500 cameramen as they commission his latest revolutionary project - A water tap!
Fashola commissions his latest 1billion-naira-per-kilometre road - Eko oni baje ooo!
Fashola and his 3,500 cameramen have turned on the streetlights - Eko oni baje ooo!
Fashola earmarks 4 billion naira for Christmas lights along our express road - Eko oni baje ooo!

But when the yearly rainy season comes in and turns the city into a modern-day Atlantis, watch his hungry internet dogs frantically search for someone else to blame. That's when you suddenly remember Lagos is "below sea level". That's when you suddenly start reading stories about how evil the locals are for "blocking the drainage canals with their filth" like the Lagos State Sanitation Department doesn't exist for a reason.
The Lekki Free Trade Zone is designed, constructed and commissioned on Twitter. The 4th Mainland Bridge is linking Lagosians to California on the pages of Osun Defender. Even the Lekki International Airport has planes landing and taking off to the Bermuda triangle, but this same turncoat has the nerve to point at others.
Under his watch, LASU tuition was jacked up to 250,000 with no infrastructural development to match the unjust hike. Thousands had to drop out under this man. But funny enough, this price hike still didn't stop his LASU from losing its NUC accreditation in various departments, including but not limited to Biology and Chemistry. But nobody talks about this.
He lambasts the president at every chance he gets, but on his failed lightrail project, he had to import 30 year old rusty decommissioned trains to fool his gullible praise-singers. As soon as his project failed, in his typical cowardly fashion, he had to turn around and blame the federal government for not bailing him out of his self-inflicted shame.

This clown talks about corruption; but tell him to sign the Freedom of Information bill and watch him sweat.
Only the ignorant exalt him. grin

Wow! and to think this man had the temerity to attack Goodluck Jonathan for shifting the election date even though a large percentage of the electorate hadn't received PVCs.

Why are these people like this?
Why do they thrive in so much deceit and hypocrisy?
Why do they constantly play to the gallery?

Deceit is something they so much have in common. If it's not Aregbesola lying to his starving civil servants that Jonathan was withholding their salaries because Osun is an opposition state (even though Aregbe has enough money to spray at Lagosians during their Buhari march), it's Rochas Okorocha lying on TV that his administration pays Youth Corpers 10,000 even when ALL Corpers in Imo can attest to the fact that they don't receive a DIME from this con artist.

Frankly, I feel sorry for anybody risking his life over these duplicitous, opportunist charlatans.

Now, look...

Now, as I shift the focus to the wider environment, you'll see that SAME Rochas billboard Valicious1 posted here...

Berem, you are a totally shameless assholle. THIS is the road you claim has been fixed!

Berem, can you see your lying ways laid bare on this thread?

Berem, are you proud of yourself and your shameless lies?

Berem, do you now understand why you need to shut the FUCCK up when Imo-based Nairalanders talk about Rochas and his deceit on this forum?

This is another one of the infamous white elephant "city gates" by your con artist Rochas Okorocha. Not one single gate has been completed since they were awarded 4 years ago. COMMON city gates! Interestingly, he was able to complete his 28-mansion Spibat estate ranch in less than 4 years!
Note: I took the shot along with the recent newspaper so you wouldn't have another excuse. These photos were taken today!

There is daylight robbery in Imo state! People, do not be deceived by this fat criminal and his propaganda on this forum. He has completely destroyed our institutions and hospitals while using public funds to build his own private companies to avoid competition. This man has converted the lands in Orlu as his! The Imo State University site (which was eventually canceled) in Orlu, he has converted the area to his own!
Another scam is the Ochiedike private hospital which belongs to his wife. Mr. Fans (close to Mbari Kitchen) has now been acquired by his daughter and his now being renovated as "Tweeter Bites".
This same man demolished our Owerri Library and built a PARKING LOT for the GOVERNMENT HOUSE CHAPEL there. On the same piece of land is the "Imo Collections" store which belongs to his daughter. Is it any surprise that Imo has tumbled from number 1 on the WAEC best performing states list to number 9 under this buffoon?
The so called free education he claims he provided is nothing but a complete scam. Free education in IMSU while the acceptance fee has shot up to 70,000 for indigenes and 120,000 for non-indigenes?

By the way, this is Douglas Road:

Berem, you are the REAL ENEMY OF IMO STATE.
You stay in Lagos but feel you know more than the SAME people who actually live in Imo State? What sort of immbecile are you?
What do you hope to achieve with this sort of idiocy you showcase on this forum?
You would have served humanity better as a fuccking stillborn! EDIOT!!!

Well, Nairalanders, here are the pics...

See the newspaper. Today's edition of Punch. 9th March, 2015. Anybody who bought today's edition of Punch would confirm.

Now, check out Douglas Road...

With filth and waste lining up the center of the road and acting as the road median. Filth and waste.
Even the little schoolboy couldn't help covering his nose. It is that bad.

After 4 years...

And before the usual hungry lapdogs try to come up with another lie by claiming that road isn't Douglas, look at this building...

Now, zooming in on that building, you'll see the address...

"Imo City Optical Services. 35 DOUGLAS ROAD Owerri". Nuff said...

That alone dwarfs everything PDP did.

MANY REASONS WHY EMPEROR ROCHAS MUST NOT BE RE-ELECTED

midolian:
Ndigbos? I seriously wonder why they are worshipping GEJ this much..Even the Ijaws don't worship him as they do.

Igbo people are not worshipping Goodluck Jonathan. We simply DON'T like you.
In fact, if there's anybody worshipping anyone, it's the Yoruba APC worshipping Northerners at every turn. The facts are right there:

- In 2007, APC (then AC) fielded Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate - A muslim Fulani man who had just decamped from PDP after serving as Vice President for 8 years under an extremely corrupt administration which he had also played a key role in.

- In 2011, APC (then ACN) fielded Nuhu Ribadu as its presidential candidate - A muslim Fulani man with no prior record of administrative experience except working as an attack dog for Obasanjo, hounding his political enemies.

In 2015, APC is fielding Muhammadu Buhari - A 73 year old muslim Fulani man whose Secondary School Certificate is still in doubt. A former dictator whose idea of stabilizing prices was deploying soldiers to horse-whip traders and artisans at markets.

APC would kneel and roll over for any Fulani regardless of the fact that the Yorubas make up the vast majority.

My brother, you are the willing slaves.

Stup.id talk op. Its Apperciating the Electorate NOT Bribe. They give us, We take and Vote for our choice. Sai Buhari Sai Baba #March4Buhari

Of course they GIVE YOU.
They GIVE YOU and you GIVE THEM, no be so?
They give you biscuits and sweets, the grown-asss man like you, and in return, you give them your life, your brain, your future and the fates of your children yet unborn. And after the poverty and self-inflicted backwardness and hopelessness, you rise from the gutter you've landed yourself in, and blame the president for your failure in life, forgetting that you cannot sell yourself so cheaply and expect to be rewarded with prosperity.
Have you dared to ask yourselves where Fashola and Ambode's kids are and why you might never see them around with you in the sun and in the harsh conditions screaming "Change"? Because they are living the future YOU should have been living. You have been so blinded in your partisan hypocrisy and sycophancy that you fail to realize you've sold your own future to Fashola and Ambode's grandkids, all for biscuits and sweets. Shame.
Keep defending your gods as they practise the same thing they deride others for. You think say you dey score point, shebi?
Willing pauper.

Politics / Re: Obiano Performs Groundbreaking For $40m Automotive Assembly Plant by Kenai: 3:06pm On Mar 17, 2015
Chime and Obiano really come off, to me, as men who conceptualize, plan and budget before embarking on a project.
Rochas Okorocha just shouts and then embarks on useless projects (jamboree). That's why the immbecile has the guts to post pictures of the state government house and the Ecumenical Centre (a f0cking chapel) as his accomplishments after 4 years... not forgetting his abandoned, unfinished 27 general hospitals (supported with bamboo sticks and crawling with weeds and mushrooms now), the Okigwe Princess Hotel (which has collapsed) and the 18 billion naira Conference Centre (which was used only once by the NBA and now lies abandoned - a white elephant).
After his 4 years, not a single project for job creation, employment or development of small businesses; wanton corruption and nepotism fill the air in Imo.

What a pity. Get rid of this fat buffoon now!

Politics / Obiano Performs Groundbreaking For $40m Automotive Assembly Plant by Kenai: 2:40pm On Mar 17, 2015
From EMMANUEL UZOR, Onitsha

Anambra State Governor, Chief Wille Obiano, at the weekend performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a $40 million automotive assembly plant in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Council Area of the state.

Speaking at the foundation ceremony for establishment of Richbon Automotive Nigeria Limited, Obiano, said the exercise was part of dividends of his administration’s readiness to partner private investors to create jobs and industrialise the state.

He further disclosed that the company, [upon completion in  18 months, will be a world-class motor assembly plant in Africa with capacity to build all brands of vehicles including heavy-duty agricultural and construction equipment.

He commended the Chairman of Richbon Group of Companies, Mr. Cajethan Muonagolu, for choosing Anambra State for the establishment of the assembly plant, adding that it would, among other things, create over 10,000 direct jobs for the youths.

The Governor noted that Ozubulu, the host community, will hold four per cent equity in the company while the Anambra State government will have six per cent while additional two percentage will be for maintenance and development of the host community as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.

On the readiness of his administration to further expand the relationship between the state government and private investors, Obiano said his government was already embarking on captive power plants to supply 10 megawatts to help private investors in the state as well as consolidate on security of lives and property to protect investors and their investments in the state.

In his address, the Chairman of Richbon Automotive Industry Limited, Muonagolu, said the construction of the assembly plant with a life span of 18 months will, upon completion, steer the wheels of development across Africa and beyond.

He said, “this project is an ultra-modern assembly plant with three mega lines among which is the heavy-duty and light trucks assembly with production capacity for 10,000 units of trucks per annum, commercial buses assembly plant with production capacity for 2,000 units and construction machinery assembly plant with production capacity for 20,000 units per annum.”

Muonagolu further disclosed that Richbon Automotive Industry Limited has foreign partners like Xiamen, XGMA Machinery Company Limited and Shanxin Heavy Duty Automobile Import and Export Group, which he said are competent automobile industries that have reputation around the world as leading automobile companies.

He said part of the mission and vision of the company include providing affordable, durable and quality automobile trucks, equipment and after-sales services comparable with world-class standard and to create value and satisfaction for their customers.

“We are aiming to become the leading automobile company in Africa that delivers excellence in production and after sales services and we shall create over 5,000 jobs for Nigerian youths and contribute immensely to the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state government.”

The Chairman of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) and the traditional ruler of Umuoji, Igwe Cyril Enweze, described the milestone achievement as impressive since Obiano’s  administration began.

Igwe Enweze said ANSIPPA has been saddled with the responsibility of assessing local and foreign investors in the state with a view to knowing their capacity and genuinness to establish companies or industries in the state, adding that the improved security situation in the state has made it possible for investors to troop into it.

He said since the establishment of ANSIPPA, it has increased commercial and industrial activities in the state, adding that “the project bears eloquent testimony that Anambra State is now a safe haven for investors, which is also an indication that the administration of Obiano is ready to protect investors and they will be sure of their investment.”

I hope the moderator Lalasticlala is fair enough to put this on the frontpage to inform Nigerians on the developments happening in various parts of the country. If a completely useless picture of Fashola in a raincoat, or Rochas dancing Shoki, could get featured on the frontpage, then it would completely defile logic if this informative thread does not.

Politics / Re: "Tackle Oil Theft Now!" - Aregbesola To Jonathan by Kenai: 1:14pm On Mar 15, 2015
On that note, I'd like to humbly join Mr. Aregbesola in pleading with Jonathan to curb the oil theft in the Niger Delta, for it has completely rendered Osun state (a state of over 4 million people) insolvent and unable to pay its workers for 5 months, even with all the 'progressive' heroics happening on the pages of Osun Defender. "Nigeria's 7th largest economy" and all... wink

Politics / "Tackle Oil Theft Now!" - Aregbesola To Jonathan by Kenai: 1:07pm On Mar 15, 2015
‎The Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan not to play politics with the ailing state of Nigeria’s economy.
The governor urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led government to as a matter of urgency nip in the bud the issue of oil theft that has robbed the country of trillions of Naira.
Mr. Aregbesola gave the charge in Atakumosa West Local government in continuation of the All Progressives Congress campaign to drum up support for all the candidates of the party in the forth-coming general elections.
Mr. Aregbesola had earlier taken his campaigns to Orolu and Atakumosa East council areas of the state, telling residents that the only hope left for the masses is to see to the end of the Peoples Democratic Party rule at the Federal government level.
He held that if the said stolen crude oil is being prevented and blocked by the PDP and the federal government, such proceeds amounting to trillions of Naira can be put to use in the development of rural roads all over Nigeria.
The governor while addressing the people of Ilaa-jesa, Isaobi, Isotun Osu and Ifewara among other rural settlements in the Local government said the Yoruba have never benefited anything good under the administration of the PDP.
According to the governor, “if the barrels of crude oil being alleged to have been stolen daily are blocked and prevented by the PDP controlled Federal government which amount to 1.7 trillion Naira, proceeds from such act could have provided about 2000 kilometers of rural roads across the country”.
He admonished the people of the area to query the Federal government on why the Osogbo-Ilesa and Osu-Ife roads which began seven years ago were abandoned.
He said, “Nigerians (Osunites?) have never had it this bad in terms of hunger, insecurity, corruption, unemployment among others, the worst of it being the economic recession which made a dollar to exchange for 230 naira from 120 inherited by the Jonathan led administration.”
The governor also appealed to Christians to use the Lenten period to pray for the desired change the country truly deserves by voting for all the candidates of the APC in the National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.
Mr. Aregbesola at the palace of the Asotun of Isotun Oba Prof. Akinola Adeniyi Owosekun 11, alleged that, “if the wastages the Federal government is noted for are curtailed, no rural community will not benefit from the proceeds from crude oil being stolen daily.
“God in his mercy granted President Goodluck Jonathan the last four years as an economic independence period when crude oil was sold at 100 dollars per barrel, but what did the country witness, abandoned projects including the Alagbado-ota bridge started by Chief Ernest Sonekan ‘s government,” the governor said.
On the comments of the president during his visit to the state that the country is buoyant and that his government is fulfilling its financial obligations to the state, the governor questioned why federal government workers are being owed salaries and allowances.
Mr. Aregbesola said his visit to the villages is to enable him assess and have first-hand information about the condition of the people. ‎
Mr. Aregbesola told the people that one of the things the PDP wanted to ensure by forcing a postponement of the election was to drain the people out and use the period to empower their weak candidates.
“We only need our people to persevere. Our people are Omoluabi who cannot be bought with ill-gotten wealth. We have remained with the people and that is our commitment,” he said.
