Where is that road construction he is inspecting? All I can see is construction of gutter, scrapping of mud, dilapidated structures, a monument of a school girl and entourage and onlookers moving to watch Wike's action as he act for his new film to be released before December 25.
Please Op give us concrete inspection of ongoing road construction and stop this propaganda and blackmail. What you shown is not evident enough, making it more friendly and real for world digest. All these hype of road show will not glorify him amid the international community that we're real in making our government accountable to us. This is just a film show as I said.

First of all, Dr. Ipalibo Banigo is inconsequential.. No disrespect to her person or her distinguished career intended. She is just as powerful as Amaechis deputy then Tele Ikuru.

Now I like the way you bunched your summation of the Upland and the Riverine communities.. However how many upland LGAs are Ikwerre?

I know for for that ONELGA will not be voting for the PDP after the violence that was wrecked on the otherwise calm and peaceful town by PDP goons backed by Felix Obuah. I know the Ogonis will not be behind an Ikwerre candidacy. Okrika is very massive and the votes will be split. Dames influence isn't as great there anymore, her powers have been taken away. Don't forget that even the militants in Okrika were bullied into supporting Wike by Dame.

Now you may wish to also understand that the mood before and after the Presidential elections are not the same. If the Okrikas and Kalabaris are happy with playing second string to the Ikwerres, then so be it but I strongly doubt that the sentiments are still the same. I know also that the current (assuming I am still current on this) President of the Ijaw National Council does not support Wike and should Tonye back Dakuku, that will definitely affect the Riverine votes greatly.

Also remember that 20 of the House of Assembly members have also been ousted by the Tribunal.

See, the tide is changing and changing fast. Tonye Princewill will be key in the re-run and I see him supporting Dakuku. The Ogonis are definitely swinging to APC. Omoku as well. Lets see what the Riverines will do. I doubt they will not jump on this opportunity to rule the state. Their beef with Amaechi stems from the demolition of Abonemma water front and his beef with Patience when he refused to pay compensation to build a school in Okrika. But when the Okrikas look at their community and see how Jonathan did nothing for them, I suspect they will swing. You cant fully assess the level of support for APC in Okrika because back then, militants sponsored from above disrupted all their rallies there. NOW!! Shiit will be a lot different.
Stories stories stories, na free MB cause am. Have u been to okirika, onne etc. Did u vote the last time? Do u have a voters card in the first place? Except dey Jega d election period. Leave Rivers

Wike is a Lawyer, so he can get legal Counsel free.

If he is that popular, he should go for the re-run, but you see? The problem here is that, the people of Rivers have seen his style of Bulldog rule this last 6 months.

And honestly, are tired and very scared of him. Methinks, he will lose the election by a landslide.

And as it were, Rivers State is the only State in Nigeria, that has that toga for a Governor "THUG"

A thug/tout for a name, I know is making the people from Rivers, cover their faces with shame.

But, it's okay. We all can collectively do something about that. And that is, not vote in the THUG at the next election.

When I say APC is a scam, you guys thought I was joking.

APC said 20 billion dollars was missing. Now they are in government, we're yet to be told where the money is and who stole it.

APC said they'll defeat Boko Haram in two months. It's now 5 months and the killing continues. The Bring Back Our Girls Campaign has suddenly gone cold.

They said they'll fight corruption, yet they made Saraki senate president (directly or indirectly), chose Amaechi for minister, picked Timpre Sylva and Prince Audu Abubakar as governorship candidates for Bayelsa and Kogi respectively. iLaugh.

They said Buhari will declare his assets publicly. He filled the assets declaration form were he filled in details, his assets and that of his wife. Instead of publishing the assets declaration form like Yar Adua did, Buhari chose not to. Rather his spokeman chose to publicly declare a mud house and a landed property (which we don't even know it's location) and other vague things as Buhari's assets. The assets of Buhari's wife wasn't declared publicly. APC also promised that all Buhari's aides and ministers would declare their's but none has.

They claimed they've improved power supply but we're now in the dry season and power is dwindling.

They promised to create thousands of jobs every month but we're witnessing the opposite. Thousands of jobs are lost every month.

They promised free meals for pupils, 5K for the indigents and a raise in NYSC allowance. Nothing yet.

They claimed that our refineries are now working but Apapa is still congested with Fuel Tankers who come to lift imported fuel. So I wonder why Apapa should be congested with these Tankers since our refineries should be working.

The dollar is falling, revenue is falling, TSA is crippling our banks, our econony is crashing and the APC are busy partying and making merry.

I wail for Nigeria.
This is what you call " one chance "

The actual question is why the Naira started falling in November 2014 and this has continued until July.

The reason the Naira fell in November is the start of why prices are going up. As long as we don't answer that, there is no point trying as we wont get a clear view of this "mess"
Naira fell naira fell, is it a top secrethuh If u know tell us let's see were all this is heading. I just know I don't need a form A or form M or any other form to buy Brest pump's for personal use, so I don't see how this bank law is helping at all.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Government And The Refineries, Lest We Forget. by kenchylala: 3:00pm On Aug 02, 2015
Image123:
In this age of cheap internet, free access to google and other search engines, with online news media. It is unfortunate that many are attempting to twist and turn VERY RECENT History in everyone's face. i will like to use this thread to remind us with verifiable links what obtained in the GEJ administration as regards our oil refineries. In a nutshell(for those who don't want to read long post), the past administration/government lacked progressive direction as regards the refineries. The below facts are things everyone knows even though some choose to forget.

As at November 23, 2012, the news was "Refineries’ turnaround maintenance to start first quarter 2013"

Below are some excerpts from the news report, all are free to read the full report from the link given.

The next month of that same year, December 15, 2012. The story developed k-leg. The headline was "FG drops planned refinery projects •Jonathan must tackle fuel subsidy corruption–Labour"

Here are some excerpts from the report.

The above quotes would have been funny if they were not utterly pathetic. It was all mouth, no action.

Ten days later, Christmas day, it was still discordant tunes as regards refining crude oil in Nigeria.
December 25, 2012, News headlines read "NNPC plans to repair three refineries with N152bn"
Some excerpts from the report are in the quote below.

Don't hiss just yet, the drama continues one year later.

November 28, 2013, the story had not improved in any way. The headline was "FG completes negotiations for Port Harcourt refinery"
Some excerpts from the reports are in the quote below.

It'leaves much to be desired when less than a year before, billions of naira were said to be approved and paid for maintenance, and we were expected to have billions of litres of products in 2013. But by November 2013, they were finally completed on selling the refinery without any so called 18.64 billion litres of products derived from local refining.

Enter last year, January 3, 2014. The news had it that "Jonathan hasn’t approved sale of refineries, says Abati" Don't get dizzy by the ding-dong, fasten your seat belts and read some excerpts from the report in the quote below.

So, did anything concrete or progressive happen all through last year as regards our four refineries? NO. You can be sure, it would have being in the TRANSFORMATION campaigns. By the ending of the year, last year, our refineries were still hopeless despite all the billions of naira spent on TAM and all the failed promises.
November 24, 2014, News was "Oil slump: Nigeria’s crude refining to drop further" Our REFINING dropped further, the GEJ government did not sell them or produce anything tangible for the benefit of the country.
Some excerpts from the news report are in the quote below.

Quite a grim report, the unpatriotic acts and deliberate sabotage in the past government was unchecked. Did elections, campaigns and a new year improve anything during the GEJ administration? NO

This year 2015. March 3, 2015. This was ELECTIONS month, if the GEJ administration had any hope as regards our 4 refineries, any sort of joker, or light at the end of the tunnel, this was the time they would have presented it. GEJ would have gone to commission it, but even the very tunnel was taken away as soon as there was ever hope of light at the end of the tunnel. The news reads "Lack of support by labour stalls refineries’ sale"
To sell or to repair, to sell or to repair, to sell or to repair, March 3, mini mini mani mo. Well, some of the excerpts from the report are in the quote below.

The past FG wanted so badly to sell the refineries but for pressure from the labour people, and to avoid POLITICAL instability. Elections were coming and they didn't want any Occupy NNPC or whatever similar thing that might have disturbed them politically. It is therefore unfair and even criminal for anyone to commend the past administration for the current and sudden progress, development and production being experienced at the Nation's four refineries.
Finally, to the more recent and popular news about 2016 and the refineries. Any serious person as at that date knows this was yet another unserious promise. March 5, 2015, news headlines said "Refineries will produce 400,000bpd in 2016 – NNPC"

Excerpts from the reports below.

Here we are, its the beginning of August and the reports are that our refineries have started to work. Thanks to former President Jonathan? Really? Reality clearly shows he didn't even have an idea or clue.
Are you done? Even PMB knows better on this matter. APC una done start again

Why not ask the US official how - with their much vaunted money laundering laws - someone was able to bring $6bn to the US without setting off their checks.

I'm a Buhari supporter, but APC needs to get down to the serious business of governance and leave this long talk.
