ifyalways: Not sure I believe you.
I checked the website and there's currently no date for this month, next one up until April sef. Dunno if it was because i was checking from outside 9ja Lol. I'm sure if you go through the thread you will get how I mean but let me explain lol Appointment dates pop up at midnight 12am sharp, and only about 50 spaces are made available daily for the over 5000 people who wish to study in Germany People stay awake Waiting for these appointments and the fastest fingers get them..sometimes slots are taken in two minutes so by 12:03am you won't even see a single slot. Keep in mind also that you are hustling for these dates with those who are expecting admission within that same period and those who had got theirs prior. Alternatively, you can book via the embassys email |

emeka2103: Please house I want to apply to TUM this winter for 2 different courses through uni-assist with different application fees..please my reason for doing this is because I have a brother who schools there, as for accommodation am covered and feeding so basically my blocked account will be coming back to me every month without spending anything. Please house is this a nice idea or I apply to other schools aside TUM Tum is the best school in Germany and Munich is a huge town with prospects. So I think it's great but don't put all ur eggs in one basket regardless |

Comments like yours only serve to reinforce my belief that COMPREHENSION topics and exercises should be thought for MUCH longer in schools. Hahahahahaa e really pain you sha lol |

Mystique20: "lose admission"? One you haven't even gotten and CANNOT be certain that you'd get? So you'd rather have someone already admitted miss a date because it's "survival of the fittest" way to go! It's a wonder anyone is surprised that we are still treated like savages by the western world. That the option to book online was made without requesting for the applicants admission letter is because you're EXPECTED to be REASONABLE and already have a resumption date, you can't clog a system because of a "maybe" case in point; I got admitted in December for a program in March, couldn't get a date until February, now people are getting dates in December because bookings are being Canceled If only people with admissions were making bookings, the whole back and forth wouldn't be. if you still don't see the problem with this, then there's nothing I can do for you, selah! No offence o. But if you knew, you should have calculated your expected period of admission and booked a date in January by October or November. I still believe in planning. Now you are doing "FIRE SERVICE APPROACH" and complain of clogging? Lol nigerians. Anybody who books appointment now while waiting for admission, has done no wrong. Your first statement is like telling people to only apply for schools they are 100% sure they will get, and ignore those they are 70% sure of, So that the others with more surety will have a better chance. I disagree. Savages or not, people should be allowed to take advantage of opportunities as they deem fit. |
Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Kenechill: 5:18pm On Jan 15, 2019 |
Mystique20: This is a totally selfish way of approaching the issue, doing this clogs the system, hindering those who ACTUALLY HAVE THEIR ADMISSION. We should try to be considerate in all we do. I disagree with you. So people should lose admissions because of being considerate A lot of people lost winter admission last year cos their school didn't extend the deadline. Imagine if they had booked in anticipation. Life generally is survival of the fittest. The embassy people that made these online booking available did it for situations like this. So you won't need an admission letter to actually book. Saves a lot people the pain of losing admission. They provided the option of email for those who already have admission. U can use that my dear But saying people are inconsiderate is unfair |

Ogoonna: The letter is for summer semester not winter...and they are the o e that told me to send my documents, why all of a sudden they turn cold feet! The first email they sent you, you honestly didn't answer the question. The second email they sent you looks like one for booking a fresh appointment. Let for me, I suggest you defer your admission and reapply for a fresh interview. Appealing might take a while and you may even miss out on school work. Also, just to add, when the embassy asked you if you want to appeal or book a new interview, your response sounded like you just wan travel. Giving them the right to decide for you. Be more firm and choose an option with a set out plan. My suggestion shaaaaaaa |

Uche9: To God be the glory, I've joined the league of our brethren who have done their interview and are now waiting for the good news
As is the culture here, this is for those yet to do theirs.
First off, ensure u have ur documents the way they ought to be (one original, two photocopies). Then, make sure u obey Mr. Paulinus' instructions. If u do these, u'll be checked in without any form of embarassment.
In no particular order, I was asked the following questions:
My intended course and level of study The university (full name) Why I chose the course Why I chose Germany Things I know about Germany Why not Nigeria Why not the US, UK or Canada The admission officer of the uni One thing led to another that made the VO ask me who the current minister of mines and steel development is. My undergrad thesis title
That should be all. I wish y'all the best! Congrats o. But why the admission officer? What's the question for |

I agree with ur No.2
MCB should be able to study Biotechnology (MSc). Electrical/electronics. Sure he can delve into IT. Besides, his transcript will go a long way |

sagbar: I have been a silent follower of this thread & I must confess that I have learnt a lot. Thanks for the time you guys have put together to make sure guys like me are guided. However, I’ll appreciate if experienced guys in Germany can do justice to my little questions below:
(1) My plan is to try my luck for the winter admission. I studied elect/elect for my undergraduate course & plan to have my Msc in information & communication Engineering. I currently work in one of the internet service provider in Nigeria with a good pay.
(2) What do you think of someone that earns over 200k here in Nigeria as salary taking up the Germany Msc route?
(4) I plan to study and hustle same time. So on the other hand I’m considering a course not too tasking. Maybe something that has a blend of technology+Management. Any suggestion on the choice of course will be appreciated.
(3) I’m planning to apply with my girlfriend so that we can enter Germany for our Msc together. Probably same school or same city. She wants to study Biotechnology but it seem schools offering this course are very limited in Germany. Any suggestion for someone that studies Bsc Microbiology will be appreciated.
Thanks guys! 1. You read engineering so you have good chances. I think electricians are needed a lot in Germany 2. 200k is just 500 euros , so I'm sure you would wanna do an Msc and earn more. 3. I don't know why it came after 4. Lol. But it seems u love ur babe so much. There are a lot of biology and microbiology related courses in winter. A lotttttttttttttttt. Just filter with daad. And I think living in same city is ideal. Saves you rent money, food money and konji-curing money 4. TUM has msc in management and technology. They have even given admissions for summer already. So winter, try and do your Uniassist early, cos application period is usually short. Then still filter on https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/result/?q=°ree%5B%5D=2&lang%5B%5D=2&fos=5&crossFac=&cert=&admReq=&scholarshipLC=&scholarshipSC=&langDeAvailable=&langEnAvailable=&lvlEn%5B%5D=&cit%5B%5D=&tyi%5B%5D=&fee=500000&bgn%5B%5D=2&dur%5B%5D=&sort=4&ins%5B%5D=&subjects%5B%5D=40&limit=10&offset=&display=list Good luck |

Tom77: Good morning.. Please I need your advice, no insult please.. I have an opportunity to work in civil defence and also to work as a lecturer in College of education Zuba Abuja.. But my plans was to leave Nigeria for Germany to study and work after school, but don't know the chances of getting a job. Don't want to make mistakes.. Abeg make una advice me... Danke I think you need security. Those jobs you listed are secure jobs, from the government. Weigh that with your reasons for traveling. If you can achieve more with the job in Nigeria, stay back. Honestly, no be everybody wey go Germany de hammer heavily. So check your goals and align then with which one would help you attain then faster. I think civil defence pays really well sha And remember u don't pay taxes in Nigeria, but also remember that euros is ever rising and naira is continually falling. €8860 was about 1.8m 3 years ago, now it's almost 4m.
