FrontPageLawyer: The embassies do not care about your country of residence, but your residential permit to live and work legally in UAE. Consider that legal residency is defined by the laws of a country where a person resides, with respect to the country of the person's citizenship. What the visa officer is interested in is whether you have ties to UAE that will compel you to return back to same UAE after your temporary stay in the US. If you must demonstrate your intentions and ability to leave the US after your stay, then the embassy/consulate in UAE is the one with the experience in judging such claims, no matter what your citizenship is. You don't expect visa officers in Nigeria to know more about Etihad and HSBC better than their counterparts in UAE. @FrontpageLawyer I think he was saying his friend and his wife working in those 2 institution over there were denied because they applied there as opposed to Nigeria, hope am right @kdf? Just clarifying |

Beniyoha01: Read back, it's about the baby not the mother.... Mother has visa, she only took the baby to the embassy for the baby's visa with that claim. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that sir |

Beniyoha01: I wanted to state just this when i 1st saw her post but i didn't want to be the white egg.... I had same impression that the true motive of the visa was to gradually abscond (Based on the way she posted it). Since she has her visa and have traveled before she could have done a family application for sake of vacation. Taking the baby to see uncle (afterall, baby is too young to recognize uncle) was more like uncle is my hubby or this baby is going and not coming back, uncle will take good care of him/her (and since the VO wasn't privy to her other family members). the argument or sentiment was tenable.
#Flimsy... yea, she's traveled to the US and most likely saw uncle, so the baby was the one going to see uncle this time.... That was arrant FLIMSY! (the baby is too little to recognize uncle, such purpose will only makes sense if uncle is the baby's father) This assumptions are too much naa, remember someone wanted to see the snow and he/she got the visa |

Matcoco: She stated the date i renewed, date i got to u.s and asked me d date i gave birth. So she said i cldnt have been able to travel back to Nigeria considering my condition-i was close to due date, that no airline will take me. Thats wat she drew up. The problem is not really the fact that you didn't disclose your intention, they think you didn't leave the US at all while processing your renewal IMO |

Whenever rape or molestation cases arises, the men are always the first victim. I am just happy he is vindicated now. I still push for sanity on social media. LagosNIV: lol, no traffic in America. There may be, but you cant compare to lagos, I also think it depends on the state, I faced one in one highway to my hotel in Boston, chai!! it wasn't funny and that's how taxi meter counted up to 90 something $ right in my face. Also in the same Boston, people park their cars at the train station close to the hotel which was in the outskirt, take a train to back bay in downtown and repeat the same in the evening, I haven't seen anything close to that at least here in lagos |

PRODUTIM1: When you lied you are going for training and the training has ended before your arrival at the POE. Also, when you stated in your visa application form that you are going to Boston and you board plane going to New York. No problem with this, just state your final destination in your landing card |

To those who says OP's points are not true, read very carefully
- Its important to watch all the border and point of entry shows on DSTV they will open your eyes - I have seen a white American turned back in Australia because they saw puppets in his bag and when asked he said he was coming for a show - I have seen an Asian chef turned back in Australia simply because he had kitchen Utensils in his luggage - Just this last Sunday I saw a black Briton spewing queens English and holding a British passport shouting at the top of his voice why he had to be stopped 7 out of the 8 times he has been to Australia for Vacation each time travelling with his white Australian wife - I read on NL here a guy said he was separated at the Airport in SA, thrown into a room filled with other Nigerians and while waiting for deportation for no reason the Immigration guy said all you Nigerians will come to SA and still our women. Fortunately for him his visa wasn't cancelled and on getting to Nigeria he simply bought another ticket and on getting there he avoided the particular immigration officer and he went through - A lady that has traveled several times to the US was turned back simply because this particular time her bag was searched and they saw a US biz address on her biz card - I saw a guy trying very hard to convince the immigration supervisor he had money in his Mastercard and she said "no I want to see cash" - On my way to New York the immigration officer asked me curiously what I do because of the way I was dressed, when he was through with me and was on my way he asked for my return ticket, as I gestured to bring it out, he told me not to worry and just go. - ALL what the OP said are 100% valid and you dont have to be fraudulent to enter that trap an innocent mistake/ a very angry immigration officer is enough |

Brother listen up, am above 30 when I went for holiday last year in the US I washed the dishes at my Uncle's house (they didnt ask me o) I did it without asking them too, my uncle's Oyinbo wife kept telling me not to do the dishes becos she planned to use the dish washer when she comes back from work but I still do it anyway. I dont do the dishes in my house o for your information. Be humble to take the hit now it will serve as a challenge for you to make it hopefully in short while.

TYLOGISTICS1: @ladyguinivere,seyewest and all. As Nigerian banks rarely sell out PTA to travelers now,but advice you use your mastercard abroad, and the only way is to source from black market in which the rate(242) is on the high side.Plz what is the least dollar amount a 2 weeks visitor can hold when traveling to US?The person will also be going with her funded mastercard. Her asking is concerning POE. Thanks. I met a Naija guy in JFK baggage claim, who traveled with only $500, he stayed two weeks like myself because I also jammed him at the airport on our way back to Naija. u might be lucky u scale through with that amount. go to travelex (There official language is "we dont have dollar" I became a nuisance on their neck + I got there 6 am) they do official rate + 3.65% or there about, and u get it in mint even inside envelope but u must supply travel document and BVN |

LagosNIV: It's going to cost a lot more than the N212k difference in airline tickets to take a taxi from New York to Ohio... Very true just book a flight from JFK to Ohio, I did the same, mine I even chilled in New York the day I arrived and proceed to Boston by flight the following day. There are plenty domestic flight deals on line just ask nefertitiram above she gave me the jist. |
