Most of the sensible state governors have stopped the commercial usage of motorcycle popularly called Okada, due to high rate of crime that associates with it, couple with the accident rate as well. Go to any orthopaedic hospital, most people there whom their legs are hanging were victims of motorcycle accident. This "actor" is here promoting "Okada" business in the name of "k' anyi nwere si kwa". |

I can't even understand how most of you think and even gush without a reason. In about a time ago, it use to be 10,000 dollars per week. Today, the benchmark is 10,000 dollars per month and you are all ranting. What was the value of 10,000 dollars in about two to three years ago? What is the value of the same amount now? |
Hurrah!!! I just want to bring to you all the different types of Nairalanders you will meet on every post that hits a front page. You may be thinking that people come just to comment without knowing that most of these guys have something else in their mind. Enjoy your selves... (1) The FTC hustlers. These are people that just rush to become "first to comment" even when they have nothing meaningful to type. You will be reading stuffs like; "this land is not for sale", " space booked" and lots more. (2) The I too know types. These are people that claim to have an answers to every question that comes up. Most of these types, Google is their friend. (3) The Notice me types. These people would like to be noticed every time. To them, popularity is either you are famous or you are notorious. You can be famous either by posting comments rich in wisdom, inspiration, education, motivation or you become notorious by pushing out comments that connote vulger, shabby derogatory and obnoxious like some of them do. (4) The professionals. These are people that do not always come to comment. They will only comment when it's within their circle of knowledge. And it is from these types you will gain the sort after knowledge that you are looking for. (5) The Chauvinists. These are like sheep, when a particular person has commented in a particular perception, you will see them all tilting towards that perspective. Thay will continue like this until another person comes up with a stronger view to refute their points. (6) The "Indians". These are the business men that do not just come to comment but indirectly referring you to their signatures where their businesses are promoted. (7) The Front Page Promoters. You will see them typing lalasticlala, mind4 and other super moderators, just to draw their attention to move the post to a front page. Which one among these do you belong to? Just be honest. Which moniker can u perfectly fit into any of these? We dont mean any brouhaha. Let the fun begin. |
Most of you nairalanders who comment on a post most times don't have thought of your own. After somebody has commented in a particular direction, the rest will follow suit. When a flock of sheep are crossing the road, as long as the first sheep has entered the road, even if it's Dangote's truck that is coming, the entire sheep must follow up, they don't give a damn if they will be all crushed by the coming truck. That's some of the nairalanders who rush to comment especially on a post that hits front page. |
Austin still remains one among the best five footballers in the world. |

Among the reasons I wouldn't want Clinton is that I wouldn't want a woman to rule me. Clinton winning this election is as if a woman is actually ruling the so called "most powerful" nation in the world. Even UK where they have woman as Queen, Prime minister, being both head of government and administration. If it were in this part of the world, they would have lebelled it archaic. Thank God for the part of the world I hail from. Men are the pillars while women actually belong to the kitchen and The other room. |

I read Abati's and Adesina's, as someone who sucked his mama's breast about two years or more, I think points were made. |
Greetings!!! Many a time, there has been this question if a man can rape his wife and the answer is yes. When a man takes a carnal knowledge of a woman against her will or consent whether his wife or not, it is a rape. But the big question is this, can someone rape someone without a FORCE? NB: rational contributions please. |
What he needs to sign for you is the "deed of conveyance". This is a legal document prepared by your lawyer, it will be signed, stamped and sealed. This document is not just ordinary paper, like I stated above, it's a legal booklet and a tittle of a land which also states the detailed information of the land and transfers the ownership of the land from the seller (vendor) to the buyer. When one applies you sign a power of attorney for him or her, the person is asking you to conver the POWER as the name sounds to him either to act as an agent, solicitor or lots more. In this case, what you are doing is getting the power of the land ownership from him and which is what the deed does. |
Happy Sunday to you all. Exodus 20:7; "thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain". In movies, we always see when actors and actresses were praying shouting; " in the name of Jesus", we all know that this is a performing act. Don't you think that the name of the Lord the God is taken in vain here? Bible students over to you? |

Please let us put aside ethnic and religious jingoism. Who is your true hero of democracy? The first picture is that of Chief MKO Abiola, who supposedly won the annulled June 12 1993 Presidential election. The second is that of Goodluck Ebere Jonathan, who conceded power after he lost the election his government conducted

Salt has been seen as a contributing factor to many a heart disease and hypertension. Many health conscious individuals have had the mind set that meals should contain little or no salt. Too much of processed salt can truly be harmful, you should know that sodium is vital to the human body. It is not the salt you take but the type of salt you take. Real, unprocessed salt contributes greatly to health and not damaging it. The type of salt you should run from is table salt. It is commonly seen in many homes. It is a man made refined product. The refining process removed many of its vital nutrients that naturally occur in salt and add several chemicals in the process. The list of additives chemicals include; fluoride, chemical breach, potassium iodide, monosodium glutamate, (MSG), sodium bicarbonate and solo-co- aluminate. If you are honest and your turn over is high, the distributor can even be giving you goods on credit or u pay in as low as u can and he or she can be supplying it to you. This is also obtainable because he or she wants to be pushing out many number of trucks so as to pump up his or her monthly commission. It can only take effect after you guys must have had a cordial relationship and he or she trusts you. Most of my pals are into it, the profit depends on your turnover. But there is a BIG question, what has happened to IBETO Cememt? |
Abdulahi you are an actor. Work out your success your self. Stop coming to the road to clean a screen expecting some one to just come and buy your rhetoric. There are uncountable number of people around the corner who are orphan or do not have any body, yet they work hard to succeed. Stop expecting unmerited pity. |

Demolition is going on along Old Refinery Road in Portharcourt as the state government embark on dualization of Oilmill/Elelenwo/Akpajo road. The state government had also promised that in not a distance time to come, the link between Golf junction at Odili road, leading to Woji link road to Elelenwo ( D young junction) will be completed. The residents of these areas strongly believe that this will automatically arrest traffic jam on YKC/ slaughter road, Gulf Junction Slaughter road and unlock and set a free flow traffic on Slaughter roundabout, which is a hub for Trans Amadi industrial layout. They are also hopeful that in completion of these projects, the social and economic value of the locations will eventually pump up.

Today is 12th of June 2016. It is a remarkable date in the history of political sphere in this country Nigeria. Ever since then, it has been a clause that is commonly heard that it was the Nigeria's most credible election. Professor Humphrey Nwosu chaired NEC during this period and I doff my cap for him for a job well done but it was unfortunate that the out come of the election was like a still birth. As it was annulled by then military which prompted the coup d'etat that brought General Sani Abacha to power. Some factions of people from the South Western part of the country, lovers, fans, friends and families of the defunct winner of that election, Cheif MKO Abiola have been clamouring that June 12th should be set as the day democracy day celebration should be held in this country. In as much as I concur to the fact that this election was free and credible, it is pertinent to note that this election was about to usher in a transition from military to civilian. As a result, it could also have contributed to its unfruitfulness as the case had been, simple because the military were still hovering around political power, unlike the March 28 2015 which was from a civilian to civilian government. Nevertheless, Don't you think March 28 2015 general election was the most credible election so far? This was a mark of a new phase in Nigeria political facet. The incumbent president lost an election with out going to a law court to seek redress. Above all, he even called his opponent to congratulate him even before the official announcement of the final result. Conclusively, I am supporting the fact that May 29 should be celebrated as our democracy day and not June 12 as some would wish. Thank you.
