Romance › Your Sister Or Your Girlfriend Who Should Grace Your Front Seat? by Kenmatt(op): 9:35am On Jan 30, 2016
Guys do you really think it should be your sister that should grace your front seat as you are driving or your girl?

Laddies, would you get to the back seat for your brother's girl to hop into the front seat? Or would you let your guy's sister to grace that front seat?
Romance › My Three Universal Bs In A Woman by Kenmatt(op): 6:45am On Jan 29, 2016
Greetings people.

In as much as every guy has what thrills him in a woman, like wise every woman has what bends her neck in a guy.

I have my three universal Bs in a woman. I mean the three B things that make up a woman I can adore.

First B: Behaviour, not just me but I think every guy out there will course the day he met and got married to a lady that has no culture, no norm, no believe. Just behaving like an animal. You wonder if she really got a home training. Such might come from a house but not from a home. The behavioural triats of a woman goes a long way in defining how healthy a relationship or a marriage is. No wonder we often hear stuffs like widows every time. How many times have you been hearing things like widowers? In comparison to the number of times you hear widows. Most men die a premature death due to the bad triats of their wives. The pressure of the blood has gone so high. Some might be conservatives while others might be expressives. A woman is meant to be enjoyed and not to be endured.

Secondary, brain. I don't think I would wish to do any thing with a lady that has nothing in the skull, In as much as some go for blood group test, genotype test, HIV test. I will also go for brain test. Yes I will.

I cherish a beautiful woman. Why do most people think that beautiful laddies are not always found faithful. I disagreed in totality. My wife must be beautiful. While coming back every evening, if there is a traffic jam, I would be driving " wah wah wah" just to beat the traffic to rush home and see my beautiful wife's face, regardless the presence and the activities of the traffic warders.

Haven't you seen that I don't need much from a woman if not these three universal Bs of mine?

What are yours?

Family › Which Day In A Week Do You Love Most? by Kenmatt(op):
Hi people. Among the seven days in a week, which day is your most lovely day?

On Sundays, its church and church related activities, after which later in the evening, visiting friends, hanging out with friends, birthdays, receptions and lots more. Some people even go to work on Sundays.

Mondays are always a very serious day. A day working and business activities are resuming for the week. No one wants to joke with Mondays.

Tuesdays are the continuation of what happened on Monday.

Wednesdays are the midweeks, tensions reduced, we cool off a bit. Get chilled, and ride on to thursday

On Fridays, we hear or read stuffs like this; TGIF. You can't wait to go because the weekend is here. Everyone is on a high spirit,"its a weekendtins". Parties, clubs are always very busy on a day like this.

Saturdays, wao! A resting day for some while some still go to work, others go to churches as well but every formal or official activities are always on a low key if at all there is a need for it to function..

My favorite day is Saturday, I am always excited when ever Saturdays are approaching, I don't just know why. I cool off with my friends, most of them don't go to work that day, we watch European football, chat, argue and so on.

Please tell us the day in a week u can't wait to come.

Cheers.

Politics › Benefits Of Party Defection by Kenmatt(op): 11:44am On Jan 25, 2016
Hi! Ladies and gents. Many a time, I see people tongue-lashing a politician once he defectes from one political party to another. I have also read clauses like "South-South or South-East can never be this or that party.

I just have to be conservative in this aspect so that it will not sound as if I am partisan here. Just that I hate ethnic jingoism like poison.

Party defection is very much healthy for the growth and development of our democracy with these very points of mine below;

It is more democratical. In as much as one has right to vote and be voted for, one should also has the right to change a political party if he sees his or her political ambition becoming like a mealage in a particular political party he belongs to. So there fore, their is a need to change to where your political career or future is realizable.

Party defection reduces the chances of turning a country into an Oligarchy in a democratical setting. Eg: A particular party which waxes strong can continue to be controlling the affairs of a country for a very long period, there by, few friends are holding the country to a "ransom". But with party defections, few big wigs can break out and break up this structure.

It brings about competition among parties. Each party will be competing with one another in order to keep their top bananas. Ruburst manifestos, keeping watch on their members who are in government to deliver to the masses, projecting a right candidate for elections. In that doing, dividends of democracy are unleashed. As they say; When two elephants fight, grass suffers.

As they say, there is nothing permanent if not change. In as much as politicians can change from one political party to another for the betterments of his or her political careers and goals. States and zones can also change from one political party to another for her welfarism to be set into consideration.

Thank you all.

Business › Should Churches And Mosques Be Paying Taxes To The Government? by Kenmatt(op): 12:56pm On Jan 12, 2016
Hi! peeps, I have heard this in many occasions that the FG will introduce the policy of tax collection from the religious bodies; Churches and Mosques.

Many people speak in contrally to this may be because of their perception towards churches and their love for God and Godly things. Its all good as well.
I really support the fact that these groups should be paying taxes with these reasons of mine.

Firstly, when Jesus was asked about taxing and tax related issues in the book of luke 20:25, he pinpointed it that you should give to Caesar, the Caesar's and to God, the God's. Thus; supported tax paying. In the book of Matt 17:27, He also made it clear when He asked his disciple to get to the River and get the fish through which they got the coin they paid tax with.

I do not really know what is going on with our religious leaders this time around. Thy would only be emphasising on Mal 3:10. All about tithes and offering paying as a key sure way to success. Pls take note, Mal 3:10, (A)part of it says " Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple". Mark the clause, "so there will be enough food in my Temple". This was when the Priests, thus; the men of God were doing nothing but the work of God unlike now that most of them are managers in multi national companies and others living a luxurious life styles at the detriments of the tithes and offerings paid by the poor members.

It is worthy of note that these are self righteousness which takes one to no where if not holiness through which any eye shall see the lord. I mean tithe and offering paying.

Our Churches and Mosques are no longer a spiritual organisation as it is meant to be, this is why Heb 10:25 advised that we should not be leaving the gathering of the brethren. Because, when brethren gather, faith should be built, but these days, when brethren gather, faith dwindles.

I am sorry to say it that I do not even go to Church these days, but I am still a fervent Christian that maintains my good relationship with God.

Churches and Mosques are no longer spiritual arena but a social organizations these days. It is seen as a normal trend that on Sundays, one should go to church and come back afterwards. Either to flaunt phones, Tablets, clothes, cars and many more or to worship God.

I have gone through some churches'mission. It says; "heaven at last". While others says; " to have 1billion adult membes, the other, "at least, one in every family members should be their member".

In fact, I am really looking forward to seeing the day Churches and Mosques and other religious group will start paying tax.

Thanks for reading.

Romance › Why Ladies Prefer Paid Workers To An Entrepreneurs by Kenmatt(op): 6:23am On Jan 09, 2016
It is crystal clear that most of our ladies would prefer marrying a paid workers to an entrepreneurs. Despite the enlightenment on the entrepreneur hitting a financial freedom and becoming an employer of labour and librating him or her self from poverty for life and becomes extremely rich like notable names in our business world today.

The reasons are not far fetched.

Firstly, fear of unknowns. Our ladies are always scared of venturing into something new. They are afraid that, should the business dwindles and the capital liquidates, the doom is near. But I would like you to know that business, like life it's self, is all about risk taking. If you don't learn how to take risk, you won't succeed.

Laziness, they are lazy. Both in their minds and in the physic. That is a big reason they think the way they do. The Holy Book puts it thus; "as a man thinks in his heart, so he is". An industrious woman, I think wouldn't stop her man from self exporolation and discovery. In that doing, talents are unleashed.

Harshness of our economy, it is worthy to note that no one wants to suffer. Every body wants a self satisfactory life. Our economic state is not encouraging at all. Especially when it has to do with petty trades, small and medium scale enterprises, Interest rate is high and lots more. Many have great business ideas which can not and can never be realized while others die at embryonic stage due to how rough and tough our economy is.

Self centeredness, our ladies are myopic in nature. Thy would not want their man to go into investment that will not start yielding gains or dividends at the moment. They would rather choose to be cruising porch cars and living a luxurious life style with out knowing that, this is in the detriments of their future and that of their children.

Let me stop here so that most of you who do not like reading when it is long will not skip.

Properties › Is It Worthy For Tenant To Be Paying For "Sucker Way"? by Kenmatt(op): 11:52pm On Jan 05, 2016
For the fact that we are still in the first month, the year is still fresh.
So therefore, happy new year to you all.
There are some things I see as exploitation but I do not know what any other person out there thinks about this same issue.
Should tenants be paying for the evacuation of shits from the septic tank or the suck away? What do you guys think? If tenants should be paying for the house rent, electricity bill, security fees, waste disposal charge, lots more and even for the evacuation of the suck away. What is the essence of the house rent? Landlord will just be collecting rent, year after year while tenants will be handling the subsequent maintenances of the same house he is paying for.
I have come across some landlords that were asking their tenants that was packing to pay for the suckaway that they have used.
Do you think this is good?

Dear Seun,
Greetings to you and your family. I hope you celebrated your new year very well?
I am an ardent member of your very educative, informative and entertaining blog/forum.
I esteem you and your team so high. But I think I have one or two things to note.
Despite the fact that nairaland has grown and become the number one online meeting point where people share, acquire and dish out information or news. I expected you and your wonderful team to handle it with care, maturity and be sensitive.
You should be very careful even on pieces of works you push to the front page. We all agree to the fact that its only when man bites dog, that it is a news and not when dog bites man.
You recently warned and attached to your number nine rule on comments capable of promoting Biafraism. If you were observant, you would noticed the comments from your members and guest who made nairaland what it is today.
It would have been great, if you had stated this before now. Especially before the arrest of the IPOB leader. Before then, no one hears or reads any thing about him or his group from our national dailies. I could remember one day I was listening to a radio station, some one called and was about to say something about that, the person that was anchoring the program aborted the call, telling him that there is nothing like Biafra. But now, it has become a headline in every news. Simple because, the government of the federation has dived into it. Even the President him self was discussing it in the last media chat. Which means, every other person can also discuss it as well.
So therefore, our dear nairaland should not be exceptional.
Hence, it will seem as if you are segregating and tribalistic.
Yous faithfully,
Kenmatt

Do you know if I am an Igbo?
Politics › Are Igbos Really Marginalised? Read this if u think so. by Kenmatt(op):
I don't think any rational human being should be afraid of his fellow's ideological differences. This is natural.

It is said that if u can't solve your problem, learn how to manage it and live with it. Political instability is unlike economic instability which can be taken care of with pretty fiscal policies, well diversified economy and lots more. The complexity of political instability is in such a way that it is confounded, due to the complexity of human nature because it has to do with human nature as well. You all know how trickish human mind is. This is why Shakespeare said; "there is no art to construct human's feeling on face".

The question now is, are Igbos really marginalised? No, I don't think they are.

Igbos are the pioneers of Nigerian political structure. If time permits me, I will also deal on the economy, social and other spheres of it all.

At the point of gaining independent from a foreign rule, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe was the first Governor-General of a federation of three Regions until 1963 when it became a republic and redesignated as President till 1966.

Chief Dr Alex Ekwueme was also the first elected vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria and also the chairman of the G 34 that gave birth to the largest Political party in African that controlled power for sixteen years in the biggest black nation in the world.

Major General Aguiyi-Ironsi was as well the first military head of state of Federal Republic of Nigeria from 16th Jan 1966- Ist Aug 1966.

Chief Dr Akwueke Nwafor Orizu. The first senate President of this country from the year 1960-1966.Are these not ground breaking?

Jaja Nwachuku was also the first speaker of Federal House of Representative and also the first foreign Affair minister, the first Aviation minister and the first Ambassador to the United Nations.

Professor Humphrey Nwosu. The Electoral boss that conducted the 1993 election that up till date, is seen as the most credible election. What a credit!!!

Chief Chekwas Okorie. The founder of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).which rose to a national party and became very popular. Ikemba contested for President on this party's platform and scored very well as well.

Chief Edwin Umezuoke. The third Speaker and second Republic speaker from 1979-1983.The immediate past Chairman of ANPP. A strong opposition party that its emerge with other political party became the (APC) which defeated a ruling party in last year's general election. In 2007, he was a running mate to General Muhammad Buhari under the same party ANPP and was also the Chairman of the Presidential Technical Committee on the review of the 1999 Constitution.

I really disagree to the notion that Igbos are marginalized in this country.
Thank you.

Properties › Should "Road Side House Agents"be Scrapped? by Kenmatt(op): 10:29pm On Dec 27, 2015
Real estate business is a promising and growing business in an urban areas. Just as it is in New York, Paris, London and Berlin.
Getting down home here in Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abuja. You will discover that this business has been taken over by unprofessionals.
I attribute this to lack of jobs in our society. Most of the unemployed youths have taken to "agency" as a means of livelihood.
But this is posing a serious challenges to those who studied Estate Management and dully qualified as a Realtor. Just like any other professional jobs like Pharmacy, Physicians and lots more.
But most times, you can find out that these guys do deliver.
Firstly, they are affordable. Unlike the professionals who are hellbent in collecting ten percent.
Secondly, they are accessible. Immediately you call them that you need a house, with in a few minutes, they are out to take you round for an inspection unlike those that will be demanding you to come to their office despite where their office is and traffic jam on the road as well.
Again, most times they take you to the real property owner where you will try your bargaining power instead of exploiting you like the so called professionals who are dead serious in maximizing their commission.
When they practice within their locality, they are always safe to go with because they know the nooks and cranny of the location and even give you a short history of the said property or the landlord.
With them, you have chances of selecting out of many property they will show you by getting the best at a best price unlike those that will persuade you to take theirs because they can't get some thing out of the once they are managing.
These do not mean that there are no bad eggs among them who can also exploit you or even lead you to a wrong property for acquisition.
I commend most of these guys because I think they are the kind of people our dear country needs most. People who can not sit at home waiting for government to provide job. I see them as creative once, innovative, entrepreneurs and job creators
But the question now is, should government scrap these people because they do not have paper qualifications?
Shalom!
Culture › Re: 10 Silly Acts By Whites That Blacks See As Civilization by Kenmatt(op): 8:35pm On Dec 27, 2015
I think I like your argument. Extended family has nothing to do with one being corrupt or not. What beings about corruption is greediness. One not being satisfied with what one has. Its a individual thing. I know what you are afraid of. In an extended family as its in African culture. No one is forcing you to carry the responsibility of the entire extended family alone. Not even extended but a compound family. If they are united, their will be a collective efforts which will bring about a multiple result. This is a core reason in the past, a man gets three to four women as wife and gets up to seven to twelve children. In that case, he has many men and women that will be going to farm with him. That was why they were excelling in Agriculture then. You have titled based on the number of your barn and lots more.
Depreciation is natural. Even human being gets sick
This is why maintenance is to be considered. Population will not retard development rather speeds up development. Its in the population that you have labour, and labour produces wealth. Where there is population that is where there is market.
Culture › Re: 10 Silly Acts By Whites That Blacks See As Civilization by Kenmatt(op): 6:41pm On Dec 27, 2015
U said our problem lies in our growing population. I disagree to that. Nigeria as a great nation is not because we have oil but because of our population. Not only US and England but also France and Germany as well. Before you talk about Pakistan, Indonesia and even Brazil. Population goes a long way in socio economic and even political development of any nation.
If "two heads are better than one" which means a million heads are better than a thousand head.
Dear, oglalasioux, you don't have to be scared of our growing population. Mathewcian's theory is no longer in vogue. If we can diversify our economy, We can contend with those countries in Europe and America that you have high honour for.
Culture › Re: 10 Silly Acts By Whites That Blacks See As Civilization by Kenmatt(op): 4:54pm On Dec 27, 2015
My brother oglalasioux, your points are commendable. But you have to know that family is the unit of world's population since your laying much emphasis on human population. As they say; charity begins at home. You don't have to work at the detriments of your family.
You are working for your family and your family is not existing for you job.
Gay and lesbianism are not birth control methods. Inspite of these guys' illicit acts on these, US is more than (250,000) in population, India is above one billion, China is above one billion, England is more than eighty million.
So next time when your talking about change, talk about progressive change and not retrogressive change.
Thanks a lot.
