husnath: Islam is the largest growing religion in the world. By 2060, Islam will be the largest religion in the world (PEW research). That means we will have an increase in American Muslims as well, which in turn means non-Muslim Americans will regularly interact with American Muslims. That means your kids and grandkids will have doctors, lawyes, engineers, etc. that are American Muslims. Do you really want to continue the ignorance? I really hate it when you Muslims boast about how Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. Muslims are given a free hand to practice their religion in the western world, even to the point of building imposing mosques. There is no integration of Christianity into government policies in those countries. People are even free to denounce Christianity and accept Islam, which is often celebrated on the pages of newspapers and on social media. In the Middle East however, the situation is exactly the opposite. Islam has been integrated into the government of those nations, making it very difficult to practice another religion. Renouncing of Islam has to be done in secret otherwise it will be met with death, which is the sentence for apostasy. People even go ahead to kill their siblings or children who renounce Islam, calling it honour killing. Are you aware that many Muslims are daily being converted to Christianity in Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia etc, but they can't open up on their conversion for the sake of their lives. Why is there no freedom of choice in Islam? Why can't people be allowed to choose which lifestyle or religion they desire in the Muslim world? Until the Muslim world adopts democratic governance in their Nations, they should stop celebrating any advantage they gain from democracy in the Western (mostly Christian) Nations. |

Medical courses which aren't part of the dental programme include: *Paediatrics *Obstetrics and Gynaecology *Community Medicine *Psychiatry *Also they don't do the complete courses in Radiology, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics. |

chocolateme: Chai! Upon all their professionalism, (the newborn did notske it) yet forsaking the agonies of a mother who just lost her baby. We understand that the hospital doesn't have to give her their services for free but using their humanitarian dispositions would have gone a long way got the two parties, her health matters too especially after a Caesarian session to prevent her dying on their hands due to ill treatment. Pls what kind of CS amounts to almost 300k? RIP to the infant. The hospital bill came to 285k. It includes the cost of drugs, tests, bed fee for the number of night she was admitted, and other expenses, not just the CS alone. I don't blame the management at all. My MD was telling me today of how our hospital is being currently owed over 5-10 million naira in 3 years. It's a Fertility hospital in Abuja, so many of our patients do IVF, and those that succeed may choose to continue antenatal with us. Some fail to pay up their bills after their course of treatment or surgery. Some owe up to 400k and other outrageous debts. In some hospitals in Abuja, CS costs up to 1 million naira. In my centre, it's about 450k outside the drugs, lab tests, bed fee, nursing care, paediatrician's review etc. Most couples end up paying over 650k before discharge. You're shouting about 200k for CS, are you aware that the hospital has doctors, nurses, lab scientists, pharmacists, admin staff, cleaners, security men etc who are on their payroll, and have to be well paid? Where are they supposed to get money from, to pay all these staff? We read a few days ago of a fashion designer (Elizade's daughter) that charges 700k for one clothing material. Musical artists and comedians charge millions per show of usually not more than 20 mins, yet it becomes a crime for a doctor to charge for his sweat after saving lives. Some of you guys talk out of so much ignorance. |

You must agree with me that that same act has become the norms of our present society. Yes, it hasn't been legalised in this part of the world, but I can categorically tell you that it is unobtrusively happening in our cities already. Meanwhile, enough of the digression, let's go back to the topic that has it's theme ``CELIBRATED PROSTITUTION'' I was trying to let you know that Nigeria isn't yet as bad as Sodom and Gomorrah. The story about Lot's house and the Angels that visited him would let you realise that homosexuality became widely accepted by all the inhabitants of Sodom. Only Lot's family was clean. Com'on! Imagine a society where people freely and comfortably have sex in open places like classrooms, buses, parks, by the road sides etc, and nobody seems to be bothered because it has become a norm. May I never live in such a society. There are still many righteous people in Nigeria. You sound like one, I'm also one. Even the ungodly ones here still reserve some fear of God in their hearts. |

As far as I am concerned, I do not see the difference between the Biblical Sodom and Gomorah and our present day generation. But thank God for his grace through Jesus, we would've been extinct a long time ago. The men of Sodom came to Lot's house at night banging on his door to bring out the men that visited him so that they could sleep with (rape) them. Actually, you have no connection with any body of water, hence the forced relationship with the SS for SS oil and SS ports. Without the SS, Biafra is like a jungle oasis.
Did Nigeria force your Governors to be incompetent? When will Biafrauds learn to make their leaders responsible for their actions? Is the SE governed by Northerners? And who are the competent governors in the South West? Call their names let me hear. All the South West states got bail out from FG save for Lagos. Is that your definition of competence? Osun state can't pay workers despite collection one of the highest loans from the FG. Oyo state governor is considering sacking workers in the state government employ, or cutting down on their salaries. Are these your competent South West governors? Mention any South West governor that is as competent as Obiano. Give me just one name. And talking about water, who said a nation must be surrounded by water to survive? Which water bodies surround Switzerland, Austria or Hungary? Can Nigeria match up with any of these countries in any developmental index? TRIBAL BIGOT! |

Be it first or second term. The husband of Judith in first term remained the same husband for second time and he remains the best Rivers governor in her history in terms of infrastructural development. The same man in pdp chose to go to apc. Deal with it.
Though I never supported the monorail from day 1 and I still don't support it but at least the project is there for all to see. Considering the billions spent in compensating indigenes whose buildings were demolished in this choice area of ph, 20 billion with what is on ground today isn't out of place. The first phase is 90% complete. Are u blind to see it? If wike chooses not to continue to other phases as expected that's it's cup of tea however if amaechi is asked where monorail money went to, it's visible for all to see.
U are talking thrash. How much have been confirmed that he Stole? How much have been confirmed that is in his account? How many foreign accounts of his have been confirmed? How many choice properties have been attributed to him as proceeds of corruption as against wikes properties? Answer and prove these with facts and see me not start stoning Amaechi. I'm not a fan of Wike, as I even prefer the personality of Amaechi to his, but it still doesn't make Amaechi innocent. He wasted Rivers state money, and it would be unfair for him to be 'rewarded' with a political appointment. Throughout his second term as Rivers governor, Amaechi did almost nothing, worse still when he joined APC. He wasted over 20 billion of Rivers state money on a mono rail which he knew from the onset that it wasn't needed. He only initiated that project as an avenue to loot funds. How can you be vehemently supporting such a man, and still open your mouth and say you're opposed to corruption? Same question goes to Buhari. Isn't the whole talk about anti-corruption war just a political gibberish, and a way to get at the opposition at the centre (PDP)? |

Hell to the No. I normally check that background of a thing, All my apps normally take 2mb, 3mb,5, 6mb max and I don't think that's big enough. I think this background data eating up mb is a little exaggerated[it doesn't take as much data as ppl say]. As for play store, let me burst your balls cos the pic below shows how my settings has been ever since. It's okay. I was only surprised and at the same time concerned why your 4.5gb data barely lasts you for a month, while I comfortably use 1gb in a month, even with change. No probs. Just use your data as it suits you best. |

ferhyntorlah: Why don't you roll over the data on the expiry date so you have accumulated data to use as you like? Well, I'll still end up buying 1gb in the new month, so what's d need? I understand your point sha. It makes more sense anyway. |
Phones › Re: Data Validity Period Should Be Abolished By NCC by Kennydoc(m): 6:06pm On Sep 13, 2015 |
donhils: You probably are the one using my phone for me cos I don't do any of these things you mentioned not to talk about doing them too much. If you use a small screen phone, maybe what you're saying about 1GB will be tenable but if you use my kind of phone, there's no chance. Then your apps are gulping your data in the background. I've been using large screen phones since 2012. I've used HTC Desire, then Tecno Phantom and now Infinix Hot Note Pro. Go to "Settings" in your phone, select "Data Usage" and for each of the apps there, Click on "Restrict Background Data". Do that for the apps that consume your data the most. Also don't check apps like WhatsApp or Facebook app. If you do that, u won't receive notifications again except when you're online. I also have a feeling that playstore automatically updates ur apps regularly. That's also one of the things that consume people's data a lot. You should also check Playstore. Do these basic things and see ur 1gb data last you a whole month. I'm sure you'll come and thank me later. |
Phones › Re: Data Validity Period Should Be Abolished By NCC by Kennydoc(m): 5:07pm On Sep 13, 2015 |
donhils: In as much as this makes sense, but then do we even have enough data to last through the validity period? unless you're on an unlimited plan which I don't know if anybody is. We should demand for more data in my opinion. I subscribe to 4.5GB but it has NEVER lasted the whole 30 days and I'm not a chronic user Cos there are other peeps that can finish it 5 days. Too much of online streaming, YouTube viewing, movies, music and games download are what consumes your data. I use 1gb in one month, and sometimes I even have to use it to download a movie on d last day of its validity just to exhaust it. |

If after one year or 2 and Nigeria don't get to see meaningful changes then we can all start to be criticising him but for now it's too early. Ethnicity has really beclouded the reasoning of most Nigerians and that's the most important reason why we're not moving forward ....this man that hasn't even spent close to a month...? Match all the modern houses in the biggest city in all geopolitical zones across the country with those in Ibadan, when the houses in those cities finish, the remaining modern houses in Ibadan WILL still be more than those in the next two biggest cities. Fact! I think it's more of a question of proportion or percentage of houses in Ibadan which are modern compared to the total number of houses. Ibadan is the largest city in Africa considering it's expanse of land. It's unarguable. The percentage of old houses however is disturbingly high. It's like saying that Nigeria has more millionaires than South Africa, for example or that Nigeria has a higher GDP that SA, yet it doesn't translate to better standard of living because of our larger population. That is how it is comparing the number of modern houses in Ibadan with any other city in Nigeria, just like you can't compare Ibadan's population with that of any other city. |
