KingKO22: After the meeting they will declare support for Emilokan of Africa.
I knw this people are agitating for fairness and justice for southern Nigeria.
Fairness and justice for the South and it has to be a Muslim from the South West, when it is obviously the turn of Christians and South East hasn't had a shot at the presidency? You guys know nothing about equity and justice.
BATified2023: Igbos will have themselves to blame after election, they fail to understand that election will go n people will remain
Imagine economic scavengers beating chest against their host
Oga, shut up! Economic scavengers indeed, yet they dominate many parts of Lagos today. Igbos have been living in different parts of the world for decades and the outcome of the election won't affect anything. Nobody has a right to drive away Nigerians who are legitimately carrying out their businesses and are not causing any troubles.
Your people introduced tribalism to the campaign. Tinubu said it's his turn and the turn of the Yorubas. Peter Obi has not made such a statement even though we all know it should be the turn of the Igbos.
Tinubu picked a fellow Muslim and you really blame Igbos for opposing him? A Christian could not be picked from the North because Northerners won't support a ticket with a Christian Northerner, but Igbos should gladly accept a ticket with 2 Muslims? You guys are insane!
N3TRAL: If Tinubu comes 2nd across the 17 States of the South and 2nd across the 20 states of the North (ABUJA included), he is statistically more likely to win the General elections.
Peter Obi cannot come Third in the North which is for Kwankwaso. Kwankwaso cannot come third in the South which is for Atiku.
A Tinubu who will come 2nd in the 20 States (FCT included) of the North and 2nd in the 17 States of the South will be president.
Have in mind that apart from the fact that there are 20 states in the North compared to the 17 States in the South, there are also more voters in the North compared to the South.
In the South, the rate of voter apathy is higher than the North and even higher in the Southern stronghold of Peter Obi where there's is a violent force threatening "no elections."
That Atiku Abubakar came third shows that Northern opinion was almost not represented in the polls. Which means that he is the third favorite of the entire south behind Tinubu.
It's a very basic statistics.
Wow! So now, there is a possibility that Tinubu will come 2nd in the South and Atiku will come 3rd. Just 3 months ago, you guys told us that by October, everybody would have forgotten about Peter Obi, and he wouldn't even win any local government not to talk of state. Can't you see that Obidients are making progress? Don't worry, there are 4 more months to go. The outcome will be visible ultimately.
K0y3: What about Ondo and Ekiti state in South West?
I am not from the South West so I cannot speak for them. There is a lot more religious tolerance in SW than the North and SE, no doubt. You however can never use the SW experience to judge Nigeria as a whole. People from SW states may accept single religion tickets whether Islam or Christianity but North and SE/SE won't accept it (especially if not in their favour). Imagine that North cannot accept a Christian VP but South already accepted a Muslim Presidential candidate despite Muslims being minority in the South.
Pakute: Can you see yourself writing epistle in order to defend Christian/Christian tickets in SE. It shows you're nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.
No SE state has up to 10% Muslim population. Anambra probably has less than 0.5% if at all they exist. On what basis should there be a Muslim deputy governor? Have you heard Christians agitating for a Christian deputy in Borno, Kano, Jigawa etc? Nigeria on the other hand has almost equal Christian and Muslim population, so on what basis should you have Muslim President and VP?
daywatcher: Agbado, cassava...He was talking about local production of food which we really need, afterall our agricultural sector is in comatose and all parts of the country should be producing food. Opponents just choose to twist his words because they have nothing else to use to campaign apart from lies and misinformation.
You should be ashamed to be supporting a candidate that has no lasting legacy in the state that he governed for 8 years. Till today he's influence in Anambra politics is negligible proving that he does not have the capacity to work with major stakeholders which is critical if you want to be successful. Jumping from APGA to PDP to Labour is a sign of someone with zero ideological direction who just run away when the challenges becomes too much. Tinubu is a fighter hence why he is the most respected and recognisable politician in the whole of Nigeria.
Peter Obi that stored Anambra's money in a bank that he has an interest, is that not corruption? Tinubu is stealing Lagos money yet the economy and wealth of Lagos increases every year. Because of hatred and jealousy, you choose to ignore infrastructural progress in Lagos, exemplary governance, long term plans, State instutions that were pioneered in Lagos now are been copied in the whole of Nigeria.
Where is the money going to? Again your hatred and jealously means that conveniently you have not seen all the ongoing infrastructural projects in the state
Employ 50 million youth in the Army and what they will eat is agbado, cassava, yam sounds to you like a plan on how to boost agricultural production? Wasn't the statement made in reference to reducing youth unemployment? You're not knowledgeable at all. By the way, is it the same agriculture Buhari and his aides claim to have transformed so much that farmers are all living big now?
Talking about Peter Obi, he saved Anambra money. Period. That is far better than stealing the money which is what Tinubu has been doing. Same Tinubu has put all his family members in juicy positions of government. That isn't corruption to you? The best president Nigeria has had since 1999 was only known about his savings in Katsina. He led the most decent government, though short lasting.
Peter Obi isn't interested in playing the Nigerian brand of politics which is what has kept Nigeria the way it is now. That is why after his tenure, none of his family members or cronies were put into positions of power. Ordinary Obiano who was a failure in Anambra has projected his wife to be a senator after leaving office.
Peter Obi is the only past governor who doesn't collect any benefits from the state he governed. No pension or any entitlements from the coffers of Anambra till date. On the other hand, Tinubu collects billions worth of entitlements per annum and still claims 10% of all revenue generated in Lagos through Alpha Beta, aside from controlling all the wealth of Lagos.
You guys keep overhyping Lagos infrastructure. For crying out loud, Lagos was a former capital for over 70 years. It still receives most of the commercial benefits coming into Nigeria due to its status as former capital, port city and the most populated city and state in Nigeria. Many Nigerians that build large businesses site their headquarters in Lagos and that has nothing to do with Tinubu. Many of the modern infrastructure you brag about in Lagos are either private or at best PPP where the Government often times donates land. Lagos is not even top 3 cities in Africa in terms of economy, it isn't top 5 in terms of infrastructure yet it is the most populous city in Africa. What's the hype all about?
Nobody hates Tinubu. He just isn't a good choice for Nigeria. If Fashola was the one contesting, there would certainly be far less support for Peter Obi. Also, considering Tinubu's age, health status and choice of a Muslim as a running mate, I really don't know how you expect people who aren't Yoruba and Muslims to passionately support him.
daywatcher: If Tinubu cannot stand a chair will be provide for him seat and deliver his speech. On brain, competency and track record he is far ahead ahead.
And yet he has kept running away from all interviews and live programmes. The only few times he spoke in the recent past, he was talking about 50 million youth, agbado, cassava... You should feel ashamed supporting someone like that.
Which competency and track record are we talking about? Lagos has domestic debts worth nearly 800bn Naira despite claiming to be generating nearly 50bn monthly. Where is all the money going to?
Tinubu is stealing Lagos dry and you guys are praising him. Now you want to foist him on Nigeria to finish off whatever is left of the damage Buhari has done. God will never allow you people!
GoodLife4live: stop fooling nigerians again...see , I Sabi una from that side... Igbo will never support a Yoruba candidate as far obi is on ballot..... Unna go put all apc failures on osinbajo and also call him a fake pastor....
We understand politics more than u guys over there.... We so much believes in TINUBU.... Because he has the charisma to lead a complex country like nigeria....he has done it before and he can do it more better now...
Are you really okay? You guys have been celebrating Orji Uzor Kalu, Chimaroke Nnamani, Hope Uzodinma etc who are all core Tinubu supporters. Joe Igbokwe is almost a Yoruba man. Yesterday, an Anambra man named his son Tinubu. Despite all these, you turn around and say that Igbos will never support Yoruba as long as an Igbo is on the ballot.
Could you please mention one prominent Yoruba politician supporting Peter Obi, or which of them has ever supported any Igbo man for presidency?
haslaw: Typical IPOB CANNIBALS and their DUMB&DAFT assumptions
1) I am not a southerner, so you insulting your fellow southern brothers is of no consequence to me.
2) Are you not too early for your BIAFLA or death MADNESS? Don't you think you should wait until after Peter Obi has been properly disgraced at elections before starting your BIAFLA agitations?
3) IIGBOS will never smell the presidency and the earlier you come to terms with that fact the better for you.
4) We know IIGBOS will continue their BIAFLA MADNESS after Peter Obi losses next year and we are fully ready. Who do anyhow go see anyhow.
seunmsg: I prefer the man who allegedly can’t hold a spoon to the man who will steal our common patrimony and put it into his family business and call it investment.
You mean the same man who has made Lagos indebted to the tune of almost 800bn Naira (in domestic debts alone) despite the state generating nearly 50bn Naira per month?
You're deliberately blind to the extent to which Tinubu has stolen Lagos silly. This is a man whose company pockets over 4bn of Lagos revenue monthly. That's more than the monthly IGR of many states in Nigeria.
You cannot be a Tinubu supporter and be sensible. The two are incompatible.
Nigeria loses dollars to importation of refined petroleum products- a direct cause.
Your claim that Nigeria is "importing" petroleum because of corruption makes corruption a remote cause.
A direct cause ranks higher than a remote cause.
Our refineries are no longer functional not because of corruption alone. A government has no business running companies. The socialist/welfarist management of the defunct refineries is also a major reason for their collapse.
You don't know what you're saying. A government has no business running companies? Have you heard of Saudi Aramco? How come the government ran our refineries in the 60s and 70s and they were productive?
Yes, things work better when done by private organisations but it doesn't mean that a serious government cannot operate any company successfully. Corruption is the main reason why it appears so.
Corruption is the main reason why Nigeria spends billions on TAM and annual operations of the refineries and yet they produce nothing.
Corruption is also the reason why the amount of petroleum products claimed to be imported is far more than what is actually imported due to subsidy claims.
The biggest ministry in Nigeria is the Ministry of Corruption.
N3TRAL: Importation ranks higher as a cause of our terrible exchange rate than corruption
Then imagine telling us we're free to export more!
Read bro!
Corruption is the reason why Nigeria is still importing petroleum products and has no functional refinery after nearly 24 years of return to democracy.
Importation of refined petroleum products is the biggest consumer of our Forex. Fix that problem and Nigeria's economy will improve.
How then do you say importation ranks higher than corruption as a cause of Nigeria's terrible exchange rate?
MuslimIgbo: This is the legacy Obidient left. He indeed turned Anambra into Dubai
If only he has built a functional drainage system, flood won't be destroying their lives and properties now.
Yẹyẹ people
Oh my goodness! You're so daft, Jeez! River Niger has overflowed its banks and flooded 6 local government areas and this man is talking about drainage. I'm so ashamed of you.
ganisucks: APC is not contesting in 2023. ACN is the party contesting in 2023. And also you dont want to listen to a boy who failed to do due diligence in his own election. And when reality set in, in stead of accepting the reality, spent the entire week threatening fire and brimstone he couldn't create. Then at the end, settled down and ate his humble pie. That's the last person to listen to. The bloomberg poll is the most accurate, and even it is not accurate enough. Tinubu will only get 10% in the election.
The same boy that told us GEJ was going to be the party's flag bearer and bragged further by saying that not all moves are made on social media.
Dsalvo: If Tinubu will not be Preside then who? Dubai candidate who cares more about Arabs than Nigerians?
Obi the consummate coward and weakling who'd make GEJ seem like Nelson Mandela and Che Guevara rolled into one?
Nigeria needs rescuing and she will not survive any other Presidency Than that of Tinubu. Take that to the bank. All serious Nigerians know that.
Yet Tinubu's running mate who may end of being president for a good part of their tenure boldly said on national TV "restructuring my foot!" That is the man you're banking on to restructure Nigeria. Can't you see that you're deceiving yourself?
Let me also tell you that it is an absolute disregard of Nigerian Christians for Buhari (a Muslim) to complete 8 years tenure, hand over to Muslim President and VP for 8 years after which power returns to the Muslim North for another 8 years, giving a total of 24 uninterrupted Muslim rule. This is something Nigerian Christians cannot even dare. Tinubu will not win with that combination.
Dsalvo: Bro, it was always predictable that IPOBians will put the entire nation off Obi, with their hateful antics, once election campaign formally began.
There is no line they will not cross out of hatred for others. To them this is not a mere election. It is civil war part 2 against other Nigerians they are ultra-desperate to win any which way and using any 'tool' at all.
One thing you can always trust an IPOBian to be is self-destructive. By end of November they would have finished Obi completely.
By November, it would have been clear to sensible Nigerians that Tinubu is no longer in the race.
Tinubuadvocate: There is nothing like turn of southeast with this kind of statement 100 years to this time you people will not smell that seat.
But Tinubu can boldly say it is his turn and the turn of Yorubas, and you guys even use Emilokan as campaign slogan. Your hypocrisy stinks to the highest heavens.
Throwback: He didn't do anything, yet other states came visiting to learn so much from the Tinubu government of Lagos State.
The first time I visited Lagos was in 1998. It was far ahead of every other state as at then, including Abuja. Ikeja, VI, Ikoyi and the whole Island etc were already well developed. All the mainland bridges were there. The ports and airports were already bubbling. Lagos has been a mega city from way back long before Tinubu aspired to be governor. Why do you guys keep attributing all of Lagos to him? I find it hard to understand the mentality you guys possess.
Dsalvo: Don't mind them. That is why Yorubas are superior to them and called "progressives" universally and never them.
They are a people incapable of rising above primordial, clannish, ethno-religious and sectional bias/sentiments.
This is why they are clannishly supporting Obi any honest Nigerian know is incapable of wiping Tinubu's shoes.
How any sane person can compare Obi to Tinubu is beyond me. Are now selling madness to our citizens in Nigeria ?
Oga, forget all the rubbish you're yapping. I guess all the people in Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Edo states etc who are supporting Peter Obi are Igbos.
Yes, we know Obi isn't the best Nigeria has to offer but along with Datti, they are way better than the disaster you guys are packaging in Tinubu and Shettima. God forbid Nigeria being led by both men at this crucial time of our national existence.
You ignoramuses keep comparing Lagos to Anambra and that is why Lagos will never rise to its true potentials. It will remain a slum. Lagos should be compared to cities like J'Burg, Cape Town, Cairo, Rabat etc. These are all African cities which are far less populous but are decent and modern in many respects. You sing the praises of one man who has colonised the most important city in Nigeria and want to hand over the nation to him with his terrorist running mate. You guys must be drunk on cow's urine! Nonsense!
StrongAlphMale: It’s unfortunate that Peter Obi’s emergence which is now a silver lining has come with complications. Tinubu has a presidential ticket, nobody is saying it’s a Yoruba ticket.
” Atiku has a ticket, nobody is saying it’s a Fulani ticket. But Peter Obi got a ticket and everybody is shouting:’It’s Igbo presidency. Some even try to link him with the Biafra agitation.
” Have they tried to associate Tinubu with the Oduduwa self determination agitation? Or Atiku within the Fulani herdsmen menace or the banditary in the North?
It's even more annoying when you consider that both Tinubu and his supporters have claimed it is Yoruba turn. Tell me, how on earth is it Yoruba turn? Despite that, they still find a way to call Peter Obi's campaign an Igbo agenda. Those people are very wicked and selfish!
Kagd10: See the other schools na.. Na secondary school equivalent.
Why are you so recalcitrant to correction? Community colleges are not equivalent of secondary schools. They are like colleges for A level programmes and are meant for those who have finished high school. Their programmes are usually for 2 years. Who does secondary school for 2 years? Tinubu spent 2 years there which is why he ended up spending only 2 years in Chicago State University. Na wa for you o. You could simply have searched for those schools before saying what you don't know.
Still isn't. Just like calling College of Education an equivalent of secondary school because it has college in its name, just like Kings or Queens College.
Kagd10: Pathological liar like Peter Obi, Chicago state university didn't say they don't know him. Chicago state university have severally confirmed Tinubu as their graduate. So why is your brain still wailing? Go get a transplant. See the attached picture below for example.
Another gibberish because these are things already known about Tinubu but hatefilled people keep crying as if na your mama born am. Tinubu celebrate his birthday with colloquium every year since he became Lagos governor. So what are you crying about? Na your mama born am?
On his education, he's a Bsc graduate of business administration and accounting from Chicago state university which have severally confirmed him and even posted him as one of their outstanding alumni. His secondary school was Daley college. That's enough for me. You can keep wailing and crying. No one care!
Peter Obi is called a liar because he says one thing today and another thing tomorrow. Moreover, he's a Dullard without achievement in his state.
Richard Daley College is not a secondary school. Stop commenting on what you know nothing about.
yomi961: How people who wholeheartedly campaigned for Atiku in 2019 are just realizing the man is corrupt and a good example of what is wrong with Nigeria is amusing. Your choice of him in the last election was for altruistic reason, it was for competence, it was a decision to rescue Nigeria. But today, you take pleasure in lambasting people who are supporting Atiku for the reasons you professed in 2019.
The only idiot I see here is you
It was still the turn of the Muslims and the turn of the North in 2019. Also, he was better than whoe he was running against. He is still miles better than Tinubu. Many people in the South also supported him because of Obi. Now, it is the turn of the South and Christians, having had 8 years of a Muslim Northerner. We also have a younger guy who has no corruption record at all to his name. Why should Atiku still be an option?
FreeStuffsNG: Sample size is infinitessimally small and insignificant so outcome is not reliable one bit, most of the minority educated Nigerians online and on social media was surveyed they mean.
More than 50% won't vote on election day becaise they are not on ground, do not have pvc or will rather stay at home , have idle jests on social media and watch ChannelsTv on that day. check my signature for free stuffs!
Is it not surprising that you guys claim to be educated but are banking on illiterates and unexposed majority in the North to decide the future of Nigeria for the next (possibly) 8 years? How is Nigeria then expected to move forward and catch up with its counterparts? It's such a shame.
