As i am I earn, #60k salary and my house rent of 2bedroom flat in lambe/akute is #150k per annum. married with 2 kids though my wife is not working yet. Owning a car is good BT maintainance is d koko. rememeber ur pikin won't still be 9months old in 5 yrs time. Prolly u may even have had one or 2 additions. That means more responsibilities. Is/will ur income increase proportionately as ur responsibilities?

Car acquisition can either be an asset or a liability.... depending on its dividend.
If that car yield side income for u by using it as uber/taxi etc, (like i suspect its doing for temmy as underlined above) then its an asset, but if it doent bring anything to d table but to drain ur finances (and taking ur take home pay plus ur wife's) into consideration, its a liability.

**Think of how to turnover ur income. Look 4 a way/biz that can fetch u extra dough by d side.

**Learn to delay gratification.

Yes you are right with your conclusion, but to own a car as family man should not be seen as luxury but necessity only if there is capability to manage and maintain it. because it will be a shameful thing to park your a car as a result of minor fault that you can't afford to fix immediately.

A car that has fuel economy,whose parts are available and affordable in order to ease family mobility as my wife's workplace is quite a distance from the house. We hardly attend ceremony, function just because of no car, I can't find it easy to attend party entring marwa or Danforth with my family. But what I no is that to own a car is not as important as being able to maintain a car. So get the one that fit your pocket. I will advice u get Toyota as a first car because of maintenance. Me am stil praying for God to get me a good car but as my wife is not working it really difficult for me to gather the money to buy car now. Car is necessity not luxury for a family man

ANY extended family member (in-law or otherwise) that lacks respect for my family unit, EASILY gets banned from my house until further notice.
Even if my wife begs me to allow them back, I won't as it has little to do with her.
On principle, I take such things as a disrespect to me....and I'm not interested in encouraging/tolerating such behavior.

I will be sure to instruct him WHY he is being banned so he learns how to respect himself in other peoples homes in the future, in case his parents never taught him.

Their neighbors sometime this k if the boy is the elder brother to my friends wife with the way he behave to his sister when the husband is not around.
