I want to congratulate Ada Soludo for taking this strategic step, this is how you become politically active I was engaging a young man recently and asked the party he belonged,he said he belongs to a movement I laughed and told myself,he is still wasting his time when he is ready he will get a form and register to belong to a political party Young people reading this, the constitution does not recognize any movement you all need to get the basics and join a political party at your wards before you can be called a political actor Once again congratulations to Ada Soludo |
I really want to commend the NLC and TUC for taking the bull by the horn, sometimes the kingdom suffereth violence and you need to call the bluff of your adversaries Now the next question I ask is,what next after the five days? I will stop here by calling the attention of well meaning Nigerians to the plight of pensioners in this coubtry It is a shame that there are pensioners who served their country and after service are made to live below the dignity of a human States are paying less than 10,000 naira to pensioners while those in the LGAs are totally abandoned And you ask why corruption is rampant in the Civil Service, very simple. It's because the young ones in service see how those that left are treated and decide to take care of themselves to avoid stories that touch My point is simple,as the NLC and TUC are fighting for minimum wage, let them put in a word for pensioners because one day they too will leave office and become pensioners |
Heritage Bank needs a thorough audit. It seems the bank was very sick but somehow they kept getting the pass by the Regulators I believe that the Nigerian Banking system is a paradox,it simply doesn't reflect the true state of the Economy Meanwhile the Central Bank has told the Banks to recapitalise, nobody is talking about it now When it is a few weeks to the deadline, they will the start their usual Fire Brigade approach and put the whole Banking system into a frenzy Nigerian Banks are an antithesis, declaring huge profits in a shrinking economy This beggars the question, where exactly are all those billions of profit coming from Manufactures,Traders and Entrepreneurs are complaining but Banks are consolidating I repeat once again, the Govt should scrutinize all banks in the country before it is too late |
Dangoteeeee,Dangoteeeee Dangoteeee still dey find money Who I be Who l be Wey I no go hustle for my money Wey I no go hustle for my money Big respect to the African Giant and Grammy award winner for this lyrics Alhaji Dangote is surely on his way to becoming one of the 50 richest people in the world, fact check me That Refinery is surely a game changer and I can tell you for free that a lot of companies and individuals are going to latch off from it to become very wealthy If you are a Businessman you must put strategies in place to have a piece of the action Companies are already putting in place structures to take advantage of that Refinery and I can beg you in the next few years from now,Industrialization will be described using the Refinery Visit the signature today to get good titled properties at the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub today |
I really respect the NLC and TUC,it seems this time they didn't come to play at all It takes a lot to ground an economy and I am sure the strike might be called off very soon Karma is really a *****,President Tinubu in his inner heart must be having a deep moment of reflection This is exactly how he and his comrades shut down Nigeria during the June 12 agitation and also when they fought Jonathan to a halt during the Removal of Subsidy The funny thing is that it is happening in June..... This is a lesson to all of us,whatever you do will surely come back to either redeem or villify you Now they are on the receiving end, they will understand what it means to harvest whatever you sow |
I believe that petrol might still be subsidized but it will stop very soon It is not a matter of if but when As at today,Diesel and Aviation fuel are no longer being imported and you can fact check me For petrol,we are in the last days of importation so I tell whoever is responsible to enjoy the dividends be cause the party will soon end I will not stop shouting that the Federal Govt. must sell off those scraps called Refineries Why waste money repairing something that is irreparable, what exactly are you trying to proof Those scrap metals will never work, all the Engineers in those scrap metals should be sent on a six month sabbatical to Dangote Refinery to learn how to operate a Refinery because they haven't operated one in close to ten years |
Let me commend both parties for agreeing to continue negotiations after the call off of the strike Labour is very wise for ending the strike because it was obvious some third parties really wanted this country to grind to a halt to achieve their agenda Meanwhile,my take on this whole minimum wage is very simple Let us ask ourselves how many States and LGAs can pay the 30k that was being paid Some states are still paying 18k till last month Also, are you aware that there are states that pay pensioners less than 10k per month as their pensions In all, some private sector companies might just fold up because they might not be able to pay My take, let every state determine what they can pay and negotiate with their workers because a state that cannot pay 30k,how will they pay 100k |
Hi |
I read the article and there is a lot of truth in what was said,I will not bother to bore anybody with my analysis but rather speak on my suggestions to this rising food crises which if not tackled quickly can lead to unrest I suggest the following measures to be adopted in the short term 1) Importation of food stuff (1 to 12 months) The Federal Government must open the borders for food to be brought in,staple food like rice, beans and wheat should be brought in quickly Also Vegetable Oil and possibly frozen chicken and fish should be have tariffs removed People need to eat and they don't care where it comes from 2) Middle term (1 to 18 months) The Federal Government should work with stakeholders including state governments, private sector and agricultural and aquaculture cooperatives to secure farmlands from non state actors like bandits and Herdsmen Allow people to know that they are secured and that they would not be at the mercy of this criminals This will allow continous sowing and harvesting to be going on all year round 3) Long term This is where the States and Local Govt have a role to play, they must produce plans and roadmaps for their people The federal government cannot produce food,it is the job of the states and Local Govt,Land which is material in Agriculture is vested in the states and Local Govt. Let each state who are willing carve out arable land for interested participants, provide Infrastructure for the farmlands and approach the federal government for low interest rate Also, individuals should be encouraged to grow food in spaces available to them My mantra is Buy some, Grow some People are getting fed up and the time for stories are over,we need an Operation Feed the people now |
76km of Road construction, this is huge I really commend HE Seyi Makinde for this project, this is what we are always emphasising Let the states and Local Governments do their bit Everything is not federal Government all the time Meanwhile some states are yet to do anything at all, very sad |
He is making an attempt to build something bigger than a bridge,he is building a Coastal Road I really hope they can sort out all the controversies associated with that project but one can not deny its relevance As for those who feel the project is not needed now,I encourage them to take a trip to the areas that are be opened up, you will understand that in the next 50 years nobody will want to do that project The communities that are on the Coastal Road face so much deprivation that it seems the Government has abadoned them |
I laugh in Spanish,Giving with one hand and collecting with another He tried jare,he gave that out tractors and Farm implements to his people A Real example of a benevolent dictator, heard he just postponed elections for another five years Burkina Faso has entered one chance with this Benevolent dictator,he will probably spend 20 years on the throne and transform into a civilian dictator Abeg, let us keep managing our Democracy after four to eight years as Governor or President, you step down and another takes your place It is well with whoever feels that Democracy is too slow, you can visit Mali,Burkina Faso and Niger to get updates |
If this Government gets this three areas right,Nigerians will regard them very highly 1) Electricity This Government needs to go all out to make sure that they help states to set up their own Electricity infrastructure The Tinubu Administration has already signed the bill to transfer powers to the state but they will need some form of technical and Financial support to take off Using Lagos as an example,Underserved local governments like Alimosho and Ibeju Lekki can be used as pilot areas for the state intervention 2) Agriculture Encourage States and LGAs to drive the Agric and Aquaculture Revolution Solve this insecurity problem once and for all,it seems that the Agric Minister is seriously missing in action and it is a shame we can't feed ourselves 3) State police The 36 states have unanimously agree to state policing, the FG should quickly move in to help the states who are willing to set up the mechanism for state police Once we get this three areas right, this Government will have it easy campaigning for additional time |
Let me take time out to respect the great Baba Iyabo for always speaking truth to power The two policies were needed but as for the timing,it is subject to debate I believe that the Nigerian currency is right now closer to its real value as against when it was being heavily subsidized while the petrol subsidy will probably be gone forever in the next few weeks As for the Refineries, anyone I have always believed they are huge mass of metal scrap that should be sold off The people in NNPCL know those Scrap metals can never work and if they have any honour they should resign while those that are ready to work can be sent on sabbatical to Dangote Refinery to know how a Refinery should operate Indeed the people in NNPCL have clearly shown that you can't shame the shameless Tufiakwa!!!! |
Hi |
Let me quickly clear some serious misconceptions and half information going around.I have learnt in my little time on earth that an ignorant man is far better than a man with half information For the Records, the Lagos to Calabar Road is still ongoing, intact the project is going on as I type this comment. What Government has done is as follows: 1) Stop the Realignment bring proposed for some portions of the Road From Km Zero or 0 (which is the starting point in Victoria Island) to Kilometer 19,there was some adjustment done on the Coastal Road to accommodate properties and minimise losses This was done with a view to reduce the enormous loss of properties and reduce compensation to be paid by Government 2) Continue with the Gazetted or Already earmarked areas as contained in the original design This is what the Honourable Minister spoke about yesterday, From Km 19 to Km 25 of the Coastal Road Design, the Government will stick to the original design of the Road There were plans to redesign the Route to keep reducing the cost but this was not allowed. This was caused by the sensitive nature of projects located along this 9km stretch This included Communication Infrastructure and also communities that had existed in such places for a long while For those familiar with Lagos State and areas around Eti Osa and Ibeju Lekki, you will understand that this group of people will prefer to be relocated instead of being paid compensation This type of discussions would take years and it will slow down the project At this point,it was better to go back to the Gazetted Route but why? Because going back to the Gazetted Route will save Government a lot of money and time.Anyone who buys property on this route might not be compensated because it falls under Government Acquired Areas.I believe Government was really trying to avoid demolishing so many houses between Km 19 to 25 and that was why they tried to Redesign the Route but they will have to take the only choice left to them which is to demolish houses on the Gazetted Route This is why I always encourage people to employ professionals to guide you before buying any property anywhere.Get a Registered Surveyor to confirm the status of any property before you buy or start transactions of any kind. This is the wise thing to do because you can sue if he gives you wrong information Meanwhile, check my signature for good property with confirmed titles in Lagos and Ogun State |

We should streamline the youths eligible for this type of payment I would rather prefer that it should be for people in Agriculture,Aquaculture and Science oriented based employment If we give everybody learning a "skill", the aim might be defeated Channel it to productive areas, let me use this opportunity to call out the Industrial Trust Fund,I am yet collect my IT funds from you,Government should investigate that agency because it seems it is a cesspool of corruption |
The Federal Government has unveiled a portal to facilitate all transactions related to acquiring Renewed Hope Housing estates across Nigeria During the Unveiling of the Renewed Hope Housing Estate Platform in Abuja,Minister of Housing Ahmed Dangiwa affirmed President Bola Tinubu's unwavering commitment to removing obstacles to home ownership in Nigeria According to the Honourable Minister, the Government promised to facilitate, promote the creation of technology systems and private sector-led initiatives that will make it simpler, easier, and more convenient for Nigerians to own their homes. Quoting the Minister "That is why I was excited to formally announce the launch of the Renewed Hope Housing Platform two days ago. It’s a platform that provides an online, transparent, easy-to-use, integrated web-based application for the sale of homes under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme of the Ministry. I like to call it the One-Stop Shop for housing delivery." The platform has many benefits for homebuyers. It has a user-friendly interface to ensure that the journey to homeownership is smooth and straightforward. It ensures a seamless and secure registration process with identity verification, enabling potential homeowners to efficiently search for properties using various filters to find homes that meet their specific needs. The platform also integrates features that offer flexible payment options, including both one-time payments and installment plans, catering to different financial situations. It also provides easy access to mortgage plans, allowing homebuyers to check their eligibility and apply from anywhere in the world.Additionally, it will provide the necessary data to achieve our goal of implementing a Demand-Driven Strategy for Housing by helping us gauge the nature of housing needs for different locations and demographics nationwide. It also aims to facilitate the building of homes that people can afford in locations where they are needed so that they don’t end up with houses that are fully built but abandoned. With this online housing sales platform, the hope is to streamline the process for the marketing and sale of houses being built under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme. Currently, contracts have been awarded for the construction of Renewed Hope estates in 12 locations and 3 cities across the country. The estates are sited in Yobe, Gombe, Ebonyi, Abia, Nasarawa, Benue, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Katsina, Sokoto, Oyo, and Osun. The cities are in Abuja (funded under a PPP arrangement, Kano (funded with Ministry budgetary provision), and Lagos (through the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and PPP). He urged all Nigerians to take advantage of the platform to indicate interest or apply for the houses under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme. With the platform, there is no need to know anybody to own a home. It is transparent, and the criteria are open to all. Currently the Renewed Hope Karsana City is open for subscription, while the Renewed Hope Estates under construction are open for indication of interest. The City is being developed under a PPP arrangement where developers secure land, source for funds and build while the Ministry provides an enabling environment. The Karsana City houses using PPP also have provision for cross subsidy for Nigerian workers. The Renewed Hope Estates have concessionary pricing as they are being funded through budgetary provision using free land from State Government which takes off a substantial cost to enhance affordability. In this innovative funding mix we have ensure there is a housing option for Nigerians across all income brackets in line with our Renewed Hope Vision to provide QUALITY HOUSING for ALL. In 2004,Asiwaju started the Lagos Free Trade Zone Project.20 years later the project now hosts what is gradually transforming to be the biggest Industrial Hub in West Africa In 2024,Asiwaju started the Coastal Road from Lagos to Calabar,20 years later Nigerians will look back and understand the power of progressive thinking Coming to the Dangote Refinery,it is time to hold the NNPCL liable, where are the by products from our crude oil for the last 20 years they started this crude oil swap Those by products alone would have been worth over 5 billion dollars over the last 20 years, can this Government demand for a proper account of this products I expect companies to start the process of backward integration for petroleum by products Let me end by saying that the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub is getting busier by the day,you can check my signature to see how you can get a good property deal with good titles Nigeria is on the March Again |

Hypocrisy is a very dangerous game It seems the LP,PO camp and their influencers have suddenly realised that politics is a game of numbers All the people that were against the PDP are now willing to jump ship immediately and woe betide anybody that asks any questions It will be interesting to see how the famed Reno Omokri will work with His Excellency Peter Obi after pressing his neck and calling him all sorts of names I pity the gullible sheeple, they are very confused and are in the middle of this political ludo going on Please let's leave ghe politicians, they will be alright las las Still selling properties in the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub |
I tell people that the communities living around the Coastal road are praying that this project comes alive.Apart from Lagos State, most communities around the Coast of Nigeria are living in squalor and poverty. It seems this people have been totally left to their fate, are they not Nigerians and don't they deserve to live a normal life like everyone else As for Mr Omoyele Sowore,I believe he owns an investigative news medium, let him travel from the Lagos End to the Ogun State Boundary with Ondo State and confirm if work is going on or not The Surveyors have marked out the Road Alignment from Lagos to the Ogun Boundary, work is going on non stop everyday at the Eleko End The Ogun to Ondo End already has a pathway, the Government just plans on building on it and at the end if the day who benefits from the Coastal road, the people of the Nigeria |
There are two states in the Southwest that are what I call the Engine Room and when they get their acts together, the south west will become the number one and Industrialised base in Nigeria The first is Ogun State and the Second is Oyo State. I believe that Ogun State should be also be signing this type of Agreements with Gas stations to power Independent Power plants especially for areas like Agbara, the Lagos Ibadan Expressway that stretches from mowe to Ibadan and also the Olokola Free Trade Zone that is very strategic to the Dangote Refinery and also close to the Atlantic Ocean There is nothing that this two states produce that will not be consumed by the Lagos Market A big congratulations to HE Seyi Makinde,I pray more states will begin to understand that the Industrialisation of a state shouldn't be left to the Federal Government alone, when your people prosper it benefite the states more than the Federal Governments |
Let me speak from my experience as a practitioner and a professional in this field I said in an earlier thread that all Ocean Coastline in Nigeria belong to the Federal Government and they are the only entity that can issue titles in that regards,I am not capping but I was taught this in my University Undergrads days I have challenged Landmark to seek legal redress because this is a very huge investment and we need to settle this matter of who really owns the Ocean Coastline once and for all I also challenged Landmark to publish his documents to the general public and also for everyone involved to openly produce all certified drawings and plans of both the old abd new coastal roads Sometimes it is better to keep quiet before you get all the facts |
This is a very good initiative by the Federal Government,it shows that they are really ready to walk their talk. And as for the compensation,be sure that it is only those who have perfected their titles that are entitled to any type of compensation This is why I keep telling property owners that it is not enough to buy a property, you must make sure you do your Survey,Get a Deed of Assignment, Governor's Consent or Certificate of Occupancy If you are yet to do any form of documentation on your land or are interested in getting good property with titles along the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub,kindly visit my signature |
I bought fuel today in Lagos for 1200 per liter.Location was Ameen petrol station in Igando road They sold it from the dispenser for 1200 and the queue was very long I believe everyone is waiting for Dangote to start selling his petrol in May and the NNPCL is reluctant to import as it may be a big loss to think of bringing in Refined Crude oil I believe the NNPC can communicate this to Nigerians instead of using all type of useless grammar like logistics to lie to Nigerians Really sad that a liter of Diesel is now cheaper than a liter of petrol |
Very sad but like I posted on a another thread, let Landmark post the documents given to him by the Government As a Surveyor,I was taught in School that all Coastlines belong to the Federal Government, this is why states cannot set up Seaports. For you to do that as a state, you must get approvals from the Federal Government Individuals can set up properties and place boundaries around Rivers, lagoons and lakes but nobody does that around Coastlines I was also taught that all properties at least 100m from all coastlines belongs to the Federal Government,I have always asked who approved Coastlines constructions, even Eko Atlantic approvals must have been guaranteed by the Federal Government as the law is clearly stated |
We need our leaders to seriously sit up Fix Electricity Fix Electricity Fix Electricity Fix Electricity and watch Nigeria blossom into the tenth wonder of the world |
I keep telling people that the controversy over this project will never cease. A lot of people have encroached on the Coastal Road, the present President has a lot of knowledge about this Road and he will surely tell the Minister to do the needfuli The issue with most communities along the Coastal Road is that they are seriously hoping Government will redirect the Road People living in Okun Mopo,Akinlade,Alpha Beach inwards from Igboefun Bus Stop,Sangotedo might need to visit the office of the State Surveyor General of Lagos State I know of someone who lost close to 4 properties on that stretch of Road as they have all marked for demolition I end by telling everyone who desire to buy a property to use the services only of a Registered Surveyor to avoid stories that touch |
The truth is the late Lateef Jakande laid out the foundation for the New Lagos,I was not alive during this period but I was alive to witness Bola Ahmed Tinubu's era As Regards what exactly did Tinubu do,I will not want to start an argument but I will state one of the projects I consider his Legacy project This project is the Lekki Free Trade Zone In 2004, Asiwaju aka Jagaban started the Free Trade Zone Project,it was envisaged as a project that will create jobs and wealth for the people of Lagos State This project was to be an Export Processing Zone and with access to the sea, companies would be able to take advantage of it This project was to be sited on close to 1000 Hectares about 15000 plots and will require a lot of Sandfilling and Resources, this project was surely not for the faint hearted Fast forward to 2024,the Free Trade Zone has grown in leaps and bounds, the Industrial Hub now has more than 50 companies doing business and employing thousands of Nigerians working within it The Lekki Sea port which was part of the original plan was commissioned by President Buhari and the Biggest Beneficiary of this massive project is no less than the Iconic Dangote Refinery which today is perhaps the Biggest Refinery in Africa When people ask me who built Lagos,I tell them Lagos has been lucky to have Good Leaders overtime, with each building on the Legacy of the Last one,not all states in Nigeria have had this very rare fortune of unbroken unity in Leadership |
My Reason for opening the thread is to encourgage the general public on this. wonderful tool for Land Information, verification and Regularistion in Lagos State The process for usage of the site is very smooth,it starts with creating a user account and password on the https://landonline.lagosstate.gov.ng website .A Verification link will be sent to your email box,you will have to check your spam also After confirmation, you will be able to login and start various transactions such as applying for a Governors Consent,Land Regularisation and Land Development Scheme for Private Developers The Various Parastatals on the website include: 1) Land Bureau 2) Office of the State Surveyor General After accessing your Dashboard, you can apply and also download Application forms, for some applications you might have to fill in your details such as Tax Returns,Payee For corporate organization, Also you can get Land Information on the status of a property if you desire It is instructive to note that there are some services that will require you engaging a Registered Surveyor before you can proceed Another Good idea on the website is the uploading of Dovuments ,this can be done by visiting the Land Bereau office or Digitally uploading on the website Let me stop here as I am still exploring the website but I encourage all Residents of Lagos State to take advantage of this Digital process and get their Documents and titles in order I really congratulate Lagos State for this novel idea on Digitization of the Land Acquisition in Lagos State
