Arobaga:God bless you,you are an epitome of a patroit |
I have always insisted that Asiwaju needs to go very hard on Bubu and his forty thieves The type of money in the confines of this set of human beings can be used to sabotage any government in power The former CBN governor has been put in his place, the others set of people that needs to put on the security watch list include the former Attorney General, the former personal aide who moved from selling SIM cards and Recharge cards to owing properties all over the world, everyone who worked in NNPCL and CBN Also, some members of the Federal Executive Council should fall under that watchlist Asiwaju needs to understand that the worst that can happen is him spending one term but he should make sure this set of people don't destroy his government using looted funds at their disposal |
This is the way to go,every serious and forward looking state should start preparing bills and enact laws that will create favorable environment for investors to come in and begin operations The Sector has been liberalised and has become an open market, the federal government must take the final step by creating a price system that favours all who are in the business Any state that can create a 24 hour solution to this electricity problem will soon become a home to manufacturers |
If this government is really serious, they will as a matter of urgent national matters start producing a daily list of foreign exchange requests in major dailies We want to know this individuals and Organisations who are always in need of this foreign exchange and what business exactly are they doing, sometimes you need to introduce transparency to able to detect false representations by some groups By the time this is done consistently,it will allow government better understand the dynamics of the industries or Politically Exposed Individuals who are partaking in this round tripping exercise |
The fall of the naira is becoming very suspicious, even Economists are scratching their heads and going through their textbooks to try and explain what is really happening with the Naira The only explanation I got from this write up on the fall of the naira are captured by the LCCI Boss: Speaking, the President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gabriel Idahosa, blamed the unrestrained activities of currency speculators as the major reason behind the continued devaluation of the naira. He noted that the country’s forex crisis was largely to declining exports. Idahosa said, “Nigerian economy hardly plays by the book. In this particular case, it is just a bunch of wicked people who are hoarding the dollars. The CBN cannot control the value of the naira. It is people who export or refuse to export that control the value of the naira. As long as we don’t export, dollars will be scarce, and anything scarce, the price will go up. It is scarce because we have refused to export. We just sit down and blame CBN and the government. Let’s stop living in this dream world where our problem is the CBN. “As far as foreign currency is concerned, our problem is with us, Nigerians. Let us look at our dining tables every day, all the products there, how many of them are produced locally?” I want to quote a comrade who rightly said all this economic saboteurs should be tagged as Economic Terrorists and the Federal Government should unleash the weight of the law on all this criminal elements who are bent on sabotaging the Economy |
Coach Peseiro has gotten his tactics spot on and to be fair to him,he is making the best of what is available to him It is not a matter of luck, the man has shown an understanding of reading our opponents and creating a system to contain them From the first game till the one against Angola,he used a very unfamiliar system that is working The only issue I have with the coach is his inability to make certain changes during our games. It seems he always plays the same team and he is always reluctant to make changes when the team needs it. A very good team just needs to study the Nigerian team,it is very obvious that they get tired from around the 60th minute, all that is needed is to bring in fresh legs from around this period that will run at that Nigerian defence, they might eventually collapse We all Oshimen,Lookman and Simon have played out their hearts and this guys need to rest Let the coach start the semi finals with one or two fresh legs, why take over 23 players to a competition and you end up playing less than 13 ......still selling our properties at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub kindly click on the signature for more details |
This government must as a matter of urgency and necessity sell off at least two of those scarp metals called Refineries I read somewhere in a thread, a few days ago, about how the NNPCL was paying close to 2 trillion for salaries and certain overhead and I kept wondering if the people that work in this Refineries still collect salary What about the NNPCL Depots located in Ejigbo,Lagos State; Warri in Delta State,Emene in Enugu State and in different locations across Nigeria, those places have been idle for close to twenty years and the people working there will claim they are staff of NNPCL When Mr Oloyede said most people in Nigeria are employed and unproductive,I sincerely believe the NNPCL contains a great deal of them As for Port Harcourt Refinery,I have always been skeptical of the whole thing,I pray it works though because right now the country needs products and byproducts to boost the economy |
Nigeria is a very funny country,we know the solutions but we are looking for a short cut or like the Americans say a quick fix The truth is all this wouldn't work unless we address the reason why we are in this dilemma We are not an Exporting country, simple I watched on a television show this morning where South Korea released their January figures, this country exported products worth 52 billion dollars and Switzerland also exported products worth more than 10+ billion dollars in January Ask Nigeria to released the figures for Exported products and you will be ashamed for this country,Tufia!!!! Let this government know that the only way forward is to start looking closely at items we can start exporting in large quantities or better still they should start a massive import substitution campaign The naira is simply responding to the Economy, very little exportation of goods and services is going on I strongly believe it is doable and I am sure there are folks in this government who are thinking in that direction |
Hmmmm,my people this is a serious food for thought I know that I have a different opinion from Mr Oloyede but I beg to agree with him on a very salient point The first question that we need to ask ourselves for the purpose of this thread is what does Mr Oloyede mean by the productive sector of our Economy and non productive sector(even though gainfully employed) 1) Productive Sector This group of people are those with a living wage or income. This group of people form the nexus of tax paying citizens. They are found in all sectors of the Economy including the service, manufacturing, Exploration, Education, Finance, Information Technology etc I daresay that this individuals form less than 15% of Nigeria's working class 2) "Non productive Sector" These are individuals that find themselves in organisations or Businesses that are either paid close to nothing or better still businesses that are always struggling to break even These group of people are not cast under the tax net and living from day to day Funny Enough,it is not a matter of profession.it is just that they find themselves in organisations that are very poorly funded or shylock owners who take advantage of their workers I remember when I was privileged to work in a Big Multinational Oil and Gas company,I came across some welders working for that company,I daresay that those guys probably earned more than some individuals doing white collared jobs If those same individuals took their services to another company, they might not earn up 30% of the company paid My point is this, the way our Economy is structured it will keep producing non productive people because the opportunities for more people to earn living wages is shrinking daily Still selling the cheapest land at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub, kindly click on my signature for more details |

Hi |
This is the what is called Lamba,NNPCL is the master of Lamba in Nigeria.Below are some of the most serious Lambas 1) LAMBA 1 Meanwhile, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited spent an estimated NN2.9tn on wages, entertainment, bank charges, running cost and others between September 2021 and December 2022. Ewooo!!!!!!This is a very serious indictment on NNPCL,their wage bill and running cost is almost bigger than that of Lagos State Government We need this organisation to publish their salary structures and the names of everyone working on that organisation This is why government needs to sell off those scrap metals called Refineries, imagine people there will say they are NNPCL staff 2) LAMBA 2 Fuel subsidy gulped over N3.3tn in 2022, as the Federal Government struggled to hold the cost of the product far below its global market price. The cost of the commodity jumped by over 250 percent immediately subsidy was removed by Tinubu. Nigerians, you see why Subsidy had to go,this organisation was just lining the pockets of very few individuals in the name of subsidy 3) LAMBA 3 Petroleum products sales include the sale of Premium Motor Spirit, Dual Purpose Kerosene, Automotive Gasoline Oil, Naphtha, lubricants and other related products. “Sale of natural gas represents the invoice value (transaction price) of natural gas sold to third parties. This government needs to ask questions, there are quite a lot of byproducts from crude oil, what happened to all of it The prolyponene, carbon black, engine oil etc produced from this crude oil, where is the money? I encourage every Nigerian to take their time to read this article very carefully, you will understand the real enemies and saboteurs of this nation |
I really commend the author for being very frank and sincere in his analysis, this government is really fighting against a raging storm and I wish them well My major point of contention is for the group of people that have made up their minds to engage in all manners of anger, bitterness and pull him down syndrome in our country It is sad that the country is going through trying times but it seems there is a group of people who have decided that they will be the cheerleaders to pull this country down because they don't like those in power I admonish this group of people to seriously have a rethink,I am not against constructive criticism but when it begins to enter into the realm of continuous abuse and perpetual insults then I am sure that it is a matte of time before they start suffering serious mental health issues You can't spend all your time insulting people and not be a bitter person,it will eventually led to issues that will affect your well being This is no longer politics,it is something else A word is enough for those who are willing to hear, remember the year is just kicking off |
You cannot give what you don't have, this is what people like me have been clamouring for Nigeria will never develop until we begin to maximize the advantage given to us by nature We have good weather, good soil that can grow anything and a teeming population that is eager to work This project should have been established probably 25 years ago but it is still okay to start today, when we tell people that the biggest Legacy left in Lagos was the Free Trade Zone project which has now become the Biggest Industrial Hub in West Africa,I am equally excited by this new project I strongly advise the people of Delta state to take ownership of the project, there is nothing that stops a Refinery from being built in that kind of Location Industrialization will start one step at a time and I am really hoping that this project will not be abandoned I pray that other States will maximize what they have, nothing stops our brothers and sisters in the North Central from creating an Agricultural Industrial Zone that will process what they produce It just takes someone with a large heart who sees the future to start such projects that will benefit generations yet unborn Still selling, good properties with good titles at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub |
Hi |
This is the type of innovative and forward thinking that will help Nigeria during this period,In as much as I am not a big disciple of Exporting our Raw Materials without at least adding some value to it,we are caught between the Devil and the Red Sea and we will take anything that will help produce extra foreign exchange My sincere suggestions is for the Federal Government to replicate this across the six Geopolitical zones and also begin a serious sensitisation on the availability of such a facility The country needs foreign exchange and every legitimate way to earn it should be encouraged Once again congratulations to the people at NAHCO and I encourage all exporters to take advantage of this facility Kindly visit my signature for good properties with good titles at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub |
I have made up my mind about Nigeria, we all know the problems of our country and we all know the solutions but who will be bold enough to take the bull by the horn.Otunba Gani Adams has spoken very well and he should know because he is an insider on certain things. I sincerely believe that there are very few Nigerian politician alive or dead that really understand the thing called Restructuring or as I prefer to call it Devolution of powers like the incumbent president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu This is a man who took the Federal Government under President Obasanjo to court on a lot of issues when Democracy returned in 1999 and he won a lot of those battles Issues such as Creation of Local Governments,Creation of Traffic Police,Waterways Control and even taxes, the charge was led by the amiable Vice president His Excellency Prof Yemi Osinbajo. They created the path for the great strides and Independent voice that always came from Lagos during those years God has brought Asiwaju into Nigeria for a time like this,Nigeria can't be restructured over night or in 8 years but he can set in motion the wheels that can never be turned back if he is willing to do it All he needs to do is to look at the Exclusive list and begin to give the states more powers and more more money to run those responsibilities Things like Roads,Rails,Control of Minerals,Security are low hanging fruits that will start a sequence of events that will change the course of Nigeria Still selling good lands with good titles at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub,check my signature for more details |
Wow!!! This is really a step in the Right Direction and sincerely this government just scored a very big goal with this process I believe that this one step will save a lot of people who have fallen victim to Land scammers a very big relief Let me quickly add this, even though the portal has been launched there are certain provisions that still require you to use the services of a Registered Surveyor,it is not an all comers affair In all, this is a big step in easing transactions of property in Lagos and will significantly cut off the unnecessary Bereaucracy associated with Land purchase and Documentation in Lagos State Still selling good properties with good titles at the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub, kindly click on my signature for more details |

I took my time to read this article and sincerely there are certain cheering news and not too good news from the report The cheering news is the rallying of the naira,I totally agree with this sense of thinking that the naira will start a strong rally this quarter, but for how long is something we need to really question The second report amplifies what the former Deputy Governor of CBN,Mr Kingsley Moghalu recently advised, the urgent need to start diversifying our Economy I sincerely believe that if this government is ready to sustain the rally of the naira, they need to quickly do the following: 1) Sell off at least Two Refineries Reduce the wastage associated with those scrap metals 2) Give the states and local governments total control of Electricity generation and distribution This model we are practicing is a total waste of government resources, allow individuals and willing states to generate electricity and distribute it at their a price that will be market competitive 3) Energise your Small and Medium Scale Businesses This business that employ a minimum of two and maximum of 20,whose income is between 100,000 and 3 million should be given certain incentives to create more jobs and contribute to the growth of the Economy 4) Security Allow the states and Local government to create structures that will secure their states. What is happening in Abuja,Pleateau,Zamfara,Borno and states across the country with Banditry, Kidnapping and Armed Robbery can be fixed when states become more involved in securing their people All crimes are local and it will take locals to help solve them Still selling good properties at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub, kindly check my signature for more details |

God bless my brother, sometimes it is very important to put out this type of useful information so that people who are willing to take a leap can know that there are others who have benefitted from using an American Corner in their city,it will also help if you can give the location of the American Corner in your cuty True bro. I appreciate the continuous effort the United States is making towards human resource development in Nigeria. Like you, I've been a beneficiary of the resources and environment provided at the American corner in my city. Conducive environs, electricity, free internet, books, magazines and to top it all, monthly programmes on skills and knowledge acquisition. I know a few persons who got fully-funded scholarships to study in the US after receiving good coaching through the American corner's EducationUSA program, and also other beneficiaries of the Mandela Washington fellowship program. I wish more young people would take advantage of, and utilise these spaces and resources to build capacity and skills.[/quote] |
There is a popular saying that if you want to hide anything from a Blackman, hide it in a book For some of us who have at one time or the other used an American Corner,we are most grateful I remember sometimes in 2014 and 2015,I was a regular visitor at the American Corner in Enugu state precisely around Edinburgh Road That place contributed greatly to who I am today, no capping my people, you read books on practically every topic under the earth The Environment was top notch, the staff were probably the most friendliest I have ever met That place became my solace from everything around me,it was a place for me to be reborn literally I can go on and on, but I must sincerely thank the American government, they understand that until you change the way a man thinks you are just probably wasting a generation I will definately take time to visit the one in Lekki when I am chanced |
I have read most comments on this thread and I have to be honest, the discussion is very robust,no insults just plain economics, this is how decent discussions should be,you leave the thread more informed and educated I strongly believe that based on this news alone, the naira might have a strong rally There was this apprehension that Dangote might charge in dollars for some products but this is a very good move The second checkmate that will sustain the rally o the naira is if the Nigerian government and Dangote can work out a payment system for his crude oil that will not put further strain on the Naira If the two measures are put in place,it will release a lot of pressure on the demand of Dollars I repeat, those hoarding dollars will soon drink garri with their dollars,it is not a prophecy it is simple economic reality Once you cut off the head of the snake(buying and selling of Refined products in foreign currency),the body will have a calm sleep |
Abeg gree for investment in 2024,no gree no gree Dangote don collect 5 billion dollars in 22 days I laugh in Spanish, like it was rightly said the kidnapping and banditry in Nigeria is politically motivated and I am not surprised that this devilish group of people have decided to make the country ungovernable for everyone My prayer is simple,Karma will call catch up with all of them, this government should go after all this individuals especially those who had access to cheap dollars in the past government They are very liable. As for security, the Minister and Minister of state of Defense, the National Security Adviser, the Chief of Army Staff are all from the North Let then figure out who is killing their people, nobody loves you more than your family Enough said |
I align myself wholly with the thinking of the Punch Editorial Board, this administration must sell off those scrap metals called Refineries, there is nothing that stops them from selling two of the Refineries for a start and hold on to two of those scrap metals pending when they sell it The NNPCL cannot handle a Refinery, that era in the organisation is far gone. The only thing that the Refinery is to the NNPCL is just a conduit pipe for looting the Nation dry, nothing else The greatest legacy this government will leave is to sell off those scarp metals and unbundle Nigeria from the shackle of waste associated with the Scrap metals Visit my signature to get good properties at good prices at the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub which includes the Dangote Refinery,Free Trade Zone and Deep Sea port |
When we tell people that there is a difference between talk and do,and cheap propaganda they will disagree I have always told anyone who needs convincing to go and verify for themselves what is happening at the Refinery,I don't want to speculate but as we await the approval and release of Refined products this is going to be the end of some businesses in Nigeria I read in a thread yesterday that Tank Farm owners in Apapa are a bit confused on their situation as they don't know what to do People like Otedola and Oando had already divested all their ownership from the downstream sector for close to two years because they knew that once the Refinery starts, they will be at the mercy of Dangote As for IPMAN,l wish them well,at least there will be enough products to wet the entire nation for days to come, this should serve as a serious warning to certain groups of people. Let me end with a quote from Joseph Lenin, the father of modern day Russia: “There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.” Kindly Check my signature for good properties with good titles at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub including Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery and Lekki Deep Seaport |
Dangote,Dangote,Dangote still dey make money Who I be,Who I be Wey I no go hurstle for my money Wey I no go hurstle for my money Lyrics from Grammy award winning Oluwa Burna I said it in an earlier thread that Dangote will hit 10 billion dollars increase in Valuation, the Nigerian Stock Market is reacting to some form of good news emanating from the Nigerian Economy Despite all the closures and stoppages, kidnapping and banditry, the Stock Exchange is appreciating and has become the best in the world. There is a big buzz about something, and the naysayers and Doomsday prophet are not catching it.They are fixated on the terrible things going on while some people are cashing out big time As we await the Dangote Refinery roll out of products,I am very confident that it will further boost investor confidence in the market Now is the best time to invest in Oil&Gas Stocks and Financial Stocks, they will be the biggest winners from this earth shaking moment I need to add I am not taking excuses for whatever is happening in Nigeria, but I will encourage you to open your eyes as Nigerians All this sudden increase in Kidnapping and Banditry should let you know that the market still believes in the Nigerian Economy Kindly check my signature for good properties at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub including Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery and Lekki Deep Seaport |
Hi |
What really is the purpose of Statistics and like a presidential candidate asked,na statistics we go chop? Statistics show the progress and failure that are being accomplished by any individuals or groups It also aids proper planning In the case of Nigeria,I dare to say that are dependent on outsiders to show the progress and state of our affairs In a country that we can't even number ourselves properly,we are at the mercies of external bodies to help us Even the NIgeria Bereau of Statistics realizes on sampling of population size which can sometimes be questioned to the accuracy of methods used Coming back to the issue at hand,I don't want to disagree with the figures released until we have a superior statistics, whether we want to admit it or not,the internet is becoming a tool for alleviating poverty in Nigeria You may ask how, let's start with a place like Nairaland,I know that there are people who have through the platform gotten jobs, started Business and even our Nairaland Beggars are being pulled out of poverty This is just a platform, when we now talk of various social media platforms and internet platforms which are used to empower and create opportunities for people It is now left for those in power to begin to look at a way of formalising this sector and bring them into mainstream job figures The Minister of Digital Economy should not think his job is limited to only big brands like google and Facebook,he should work with every sector of the Digital Space to empower and enlighten Nigerians |
It is when we start understanding the problem of this country, then we will start looking for the solutions as well Let me quote the biggest problem facing our foreign exchange in Nigeria according to the Report: : "This pressure is attributed to the increasing demand for imported goods and services, fueled by an overall GDP growth that falls short of meeting domestic needs. “The FX market will continue to be under pressure, driven by rising demand for imported goods and services – overall GDP growth is not high enough to meet domestic needs,” analysts at FSDH research said. This is a problem that can be solved only by our leaders, let them lead from the front by patronizing locally made goods Also,I disagree with a part of the Report that states that no noticable changes will come as a result of the Refining of crude oil by both the Dangote Refinery and Port Harcourt Refinery which will reduce the strain on our foreign exchange,we are talking about close 9 billion dollars every year I strongly believe we will get a better picture by the Middle of this year when all this Refineries start full operations and all importations of Refined products end |
