God you speak the truth, I don't know the reason why we Nigerians tend to be myopic with our reasoning. with all the challenges facing the country do we deserve a sick president in the first place, how do we get ourselves here.

look at the media spark behind the story like it some big developmental achievement that we could see the president with some state governors, this is a new low for our democracy but we live in a society where truth is strange and those that speak the truth are despise.

its just sad.
very very sad my dear. I keep asking God why he created me a Nigerian. When you read the comments you understand why Nigeria has failed and will never recover

It is really sad, and its possible it's not about the money.

It is stories like this that gives birth to stories like "Lady poured acid on her ex lover for jilting her".

After reading stories like this, how many ladies will still want to commit to just one guy when you can't tell if the guy you're " booing" is just using you till he marries his own boo?

The cycle will continue, we'll all keep saying "fear girls, they can lie and cheat for Africa", toh, this one wey commit to one guy now, you no see as Newsline break on top her head?

In times like this, just hold on to God, because I don't understand how young people of these days lost it.
who tell you say, she commit to only that guy

BusinessRe: Freelancing: A Quick Escape For Unemployment Among Nigerian Youths by kense88: 5:35am On Jul 25, 2017
Bigboyz32:
While in the University, I promised myself that I wasn’t going to apply for any job after school. I stuck to it and kept learning as many skills and trying as many businesses as I can.

Of all the businesses I have tried, Freelancing was the best and most paying of them all. I still do it till now.

It’s over three years after school and I haven’t for a second thought of applying for any job, yet I earn more than many senior level workers in both federal and private sectors through freelancing.

Now, I’m not saying this to boast.

On the contrary, I’m writing this to encourage my fellow Nigerian youths, especially those who are unemployed or underemployed to look towards freelancing.

It’s the easiest business you can start from home with just your laptop and internet connection.

Yes, all you need is a computer and internet connection and you can start earning the type of money that will make your working class friends envy you.

What is Freelancing?

In case you don’t know is the art of selling your skill and time for money. The skill could be writing, graphic designs, typing, research, video animation, web design, music production, etc.

There are platforms where business owners around the world come to hire people with these skills and pay them for the needed services.
When you register on those platforms, these business owners gets to see you and hire you to do a job for them.

They pay you in dollars according to the amount you both agree on. This is usually in dollars and that’s one of the most important reasons why I work on Freelance portal……at least, I will always live above recession.

How much can you make from Freelancing and how can you receive the money you earn?

You can earn from $500 (N180,000) and above per month, working from home and spending not more than five hours per day.

Personally, I earn between $850 and $2,500 (though I have earned up to $3,000 in a month twice since I began 20months ago). That is between N280,000 and N825,000 and most importantly, I work for less than 4hours daily.

You receive your money through Payoneer which is a payment option acceptable for Nigerians. Payoneer gives you a customized ATM card where every money you earn is loaded. Whenever you want to withdraw, you just slot it into any ATM machine and it will pay you the Nigerian equivalent. You can also use exchangers as they pay higher (black market rate) than banks.

I use this card to do shakara every time I go to an ATM. I like to use it to intimidate bankers as 90% of them have never seen such ATM……lol.

Again, I’m not saying this to boast, but to encourage you to stop complaining and whining about the unemployment in the country and start taking your own destiny into your own hands.

Which freelancing platform should you start with?

There are a whole lot of them: Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, FiverrUp, etc.
But I always recommend Fiverr, maybe because that’s where I started and found huge success.

How much do you need to invest to get started?

Absolutely nothing, except maybe data, which can’t cost you more than 2K per month.

All you need is a laptop (some say phones work too, but I prefer laptop) and internet connection.
With this, you are ready to start banking heavy income working from your room and earning a cool living.

Can you sustain a family with freelancing?

I added this question because I saw a Nairalander ranting that you can’t sustain a family on freelancing.

That is a fat lie.

I’m taking care of myself and my immediate family from my freelance income. I’m not married yet, but I have a fiancée who I also take care of through freelance.

If you treat freelancing as a business, it will pay you like a business owner.

How do I get started?

I can only show you how to start on Fiverr because that’s where I work. If you need help with other platforms, you can Google it or ask the question here on Nairaland to get help (I’m sure there are many Nairalanders earning huge income from this).

If you want to get started on Fiverr, I can guide help you with a very detailed tutorial for it here with images and illustrations so you can successfully register and start banking big cash.

Remember, you should stop ranting about the Government. Focus that energy to learn and start earning huge calms. When you are comfortable, you can easily face the Government without being deceived by their bag of rice sharing.

Good luck to you. If you want to learn how I did it, CLICK HERE.
A thousand and one likes for you. Team freelancing.

PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria In The Brink Of Another Civil War? - Al Jazeera by kense88: 8:56am On Jul 15, 2017
iamblisz:
Neither history nor currency is on the side of Biafra. Only two secessionist movements have ever succeeded in Africa: Eritrea from Ethiopia after 30 years of war, and South Sudan from Sudan in 2011 after 22 years of war - the latter still as war-torn as the pre-2011 Sudan. Herein lies the lesson for Biafra agitators: Secession from Nigeria will not solve their problems unless accompanied by conscientious leadership.

Nigeria, meanwhile, must go back 50 years to draw its own lessons: These types of agitations can lead to war. If the south-easterners don't want to stay, let them go. Fragmentation is a million times better than the devastation of war.

Summary
A thousand likes for you. Seceding from Nigeria will not change an average igbo man mentality. I would prefer to fight for better Nigeria than to fight for a cause that doesn't guarantee improved standard of living for us.

Eve though is her life, but she just ruined her reputation. Omotola before this movie is a respectable figure, a top brand. If she wanted more money there are other things to venture into like politics. She could have done what Desmond elliot, RMD and kenneth okonkwo did and believe me she has very good chance of been successful(people really liked her). She shouldn't have stoop so low. She didn't earn her reputation by acting sex scenes

Maybe i should relocate back to Nigeria. Lol. Just kidding. That will never happen. But if i did, i would take advantage of every Nigerian in Nigeria. It would be too easy. They think like children with no concept of reality. This guy actually thinks the problem of Nigeria is limited to one political party. Smh. It does not matter if it's PDP, APC, SRP, NXT, AUP, UTP, etc, the result will be the same. You know why? Nigerians in Nigeria do not know nor understand their history hence are doomed to repeat mistakes of the past. That and the fact that they are generally bad people. Bad people=bad leaders=bad country. There is no phucking way a good country can from bad people. Fact.
You are sooo correct . Just like my brothers clamouring for biafra. Biafra will not be better than Nigeria, if we get biafra. Our brothers, just like any other tribe in Nigeria participate actively in all sort of evil that has dragged this country backward.

Don't mind those people saying leave the place for sometime o except you're personally tired of the marriage then you can walk but if you still want your marriage back you need to fight with EVERYTHING

there are wickedly desperate women everywhere that don't understand treating them like a lady the only language they understand is brutal force, drama, disgrace and violence

Thank you family for the good and kind advice tonight, I'm sincerely appreciative.

We've resolved the issues and we got the law involved, she has come pack all her things tonight, we came back to see she has packed.
From what you said, that lady can go any length to eliminate you. Trust me, your husband wouldn't do much to protect you. Forget about fighting for your home. Your baby needs you far more than the so called home. Nobody will look after the baby like you would do (even your so called husband) . If that man truly wants you and your baby, he would have gotten rid of the other lady. Just forget about the reconciliation and move on with your life for now, until the so called lady is completely out of his life. Don't worry or blame your self, for marriage to work both parties must play there role

Ignore the eternal haters joor. They can only jump up and down here and nothing else.

Meanwhile, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the election boycott. Enough of the meaningless grammar already.

All those so called intelligent people who are insalting Kanu over the proposed boycott are just opportunists. They are the very reason igbos are yet to reach anywhere near their full potential.

No morally honest pro-humanity person should critisize any peaceful means to gaining a binding referendum in this country - especially on Biafra. And a total election boycott - even in the entire region - is more peaceful than street protest.

Else, I forsee anarchy as the only alternative to what Kanu is doing now. So please, may we not frustrate his continued stand for peaceful process.
My brother, before we join this struggle, we need to be convinced on certain things. We need to be sure is worth it, because it could come at the expense of our lives(some of us). First of all, what exactly are we going to do differently if we break out of Nigeria? Is it going to change the mentality of an average igbo man? Is it going to solve the problem of corruption, which is deeply entrenched in an average Nigeria(Igbos inclusive)? Is it going to stop us from hating one another? Is it going to stop the "ima mmadu" which is already a culture in Nigeria/Igbos(The case of the release of Evans in 2006, comes to mind or do you think he was released by federal govt? )? Will it stop our governo's from looting our collective wealth? Will it stop proliferation of fake drugs in biafra states(of which our brothers participate actively )? Who is going to be our leaders? people like Rochas okorocha or dave umahi of ebonyi state? Do you think they are better than those you have at the federal level? You have senators representing your constituency, what have they done with the money meant for your people. Do you think those senators representing your constituency are yoruba and hausa people? What do you really know about this Nnamdi kanu(motives behind his agitation)? Does he really want the best for us? You can tell me how fulani herdmen are killing southerners, but believe me, its just one of the over hundred avoidable means of death in Nigeria. I would rather have a better Nigeria than just a biafra. We all(Igbos, yoruba and hausa) have a common enemy, the political class. If we must fight a war, it must be against the political class
