Sirnuel:I remember very well how the sympathizers of yahoo boys defend them vehemently on those threads. Giving what ever excuse they could think of; from "yahoo boys are only taking back what the white man stole" to "our politicians are thieves so it justifies what the yahoo boys are doing " to outrightly calling anyone who dare speaks against yahoo yahoo a hater. Nigerians are a people who specialize in making excuses for criminals. |
Snapchat:They are not as good as they are being advertised here, trust me. The Super falcons cede possession to them so they kept passing the ball around deep in their half. They don't look dangerous going forward. Nigerians are really good at exaggerations. |
Yohh:Whoever scores more goals in normal time or misses the fewest penalties during shootout wins a game of football. That's the only fair thing in football. |
This Swedish coach is just stifling these girls natural football instincts with his so called tactics. The man has them playing like underdogs with his deep pressing system, ceding possession to the Cameroonians. |
LMAO ![]() If you don't what a joke Christianity has become in this country then I pity you. |
Am I exaggerating if I say Chukwueze is the biggest talent Nigeria has produced since Mikel? |
I absolutely love the arrogance with which Chukwueze plays the game. The young man believes he belongs in the the very top level and plays with no fear. An exciting talent. |
Joebie:Yeah, same here. He just missed a one on one. His movement have been top notch though. |
Samuel Chukwueze starting for Villarreal. ![]() |
sod09:I see you still haven't let this issue go. You really have to learn to respect other people's opinions and views on things. Some just aren't crazed about trophies and if they were they could easily switch and start supporting the Bayerns, Juves, PSG, and Man Citys of this world. Respect people's opinions even if they differ to yours. |
3 at the back and Ozil on the bench. No Lacazette. Interesting line up. |
raumdeuter:TBH, Man city and Chelsea are more or less the same in this regard. Chelsea fans really don't have any moral grounds to point fingers at Man city; both clubs spent a truck load of cash to assemble their squads. Man Utd too. Fair play to the former two though, they are having/had value for their money. |
sod09:That Ranieri adventure at Leicester is an outlier and not the norm. It's a freak event; something that happens once in a lifetime. You cannot judge coaches based on that. |
sod09:I'm not one to criticize a manager for not winning a trophy. The uneven playing field in football finances these days means trophies shouldn't be the only yardstick to measure success. Pep in his first season at City went trophiless. He then splashed the cash and poached Walker, Mendy, Bernardo etc. By so doing, he didn't only strengthen his team, he significantly weakened teams like Spurs, Monaco etc. You literally can't compete with clubs that are sponsored by rich countries. I'm sorry, I'm not gonna join the bandwagon and praise Pep for winning trophies (to me, he basically bought them) while downplaying the great jobs guys like Poch and Jardim have done or are doing. That's just my view anyway. Feel free to disagree. |
sod09:That Moyes and Wenger did it then doesn't make it any less impressive. Moyes and Wenger received praises then and Poch deserves praises now. He's literally up against five clubs that have far more resources that him and he's standing his ground. Dude is the real MVP |
Talking about great coaches, it's criminal how Poch doesn't get much praises. I mean what the guy is doing at Spurs is nothing short of a miracle. He's had a net spent of +26 million pounds over the past few years and Spurs wage bill is about similar to Leicester and Everton. Didn't even buy any player in the last window and his team haven't played at "home" for about 18 months now. He's punching well above his weight and he should get more praises than Pep, whose team is where it should be on the basis of money spent in transfers and wage bill. |
Bimffo:Added to a team that already has De Bruyne 50M David Silva 25M (2010, about 40-50M now with football inflation) Sterling 50M Fernandinho 34M Aguero 34M (2011) |
prinnzsky:You really are deluded. Spurs could have easily won that match by 7 goals. And I hate Spurs. |
Chelsea are absolutely lucky to be just 3 goal down. It could have easily been 6-7 and I'm not exaggerating. |
Interesting arguments from both sides. But history has shown that Pep only wins trophy when he has by far the best team/squad in a competition. He has never won a trophy with an underdog or even a team that is just about equal with the other rivals. Mourinho (I hate the man) has done it with Porto and Inter. Pep won the Champions League with Barcelona because he had the greatest player of all time at his peak playing for him. Along with two supremely talented midfielders, all in their peaks, who would be mentioned amongst the greats in the future. He was handed a treble winning Bayern team but couldn't win the champions league on three occasions. Obviously because he kept coming across equal or slightly better teams. Pelegrini handed him a title winning Man city team that was expensively assembled at that time but he needed to spend close to half a billion pounds on the same team to win the league the next season. He finished 3rd in the first season when his squad was about equal (if not better) to 2 or 3 others in the league. Fair play to him he has a system that works and he usually identifies players, most times very expensive ones, to fit in. But let's be honest, he is more like a driver who wins a car race only when he is given the fastest car. Expect him not to win the Champions League again this season because at least 2 clubs (Juventus, Barcelona) have squads that are more or less equal to city's. |
Very true about the North. You'll see a very beautiful girl willing to settle down with a guy that doesn't really have much. I mean really really beautiful, well mannered girls oooh. |
EEGA:Balogun is deceptively fast though. Top 10 in the EPL at the moment.

daveyjay:I love palm wine, I no go lie Na inside am I go marry my okpeke My papa be tapper my mama be seller, me I shaksman Na 2+1 ![]() |
Well, you'll have to give it to the Ugandans. They are a decent side, very difficult to break down and it's easy to see why they've qualified for AFCON with a game to spare. A welcome addiction to AFCON. |
phamarsenal:True. Nice game. Good passing and movements from our boys. Great crowd. Only downside is poor coverage (camera angles). I intend to enjoy the second half notwithstanding. |
The monikers that were fiercely defending yahoo yahoo on a particular thread sometime ago are no where to be seen on this one. They are probably just reading and feeling really stupid right now. Also the dumbos on nairaland (and off it) who make it a duty to broke shame hardworking young men who are making an honest living should cover their faces in shame. Y'all have contributed to a failed society and at the moment even you are not safe. Seems as a people we only learn things the hard way. SMH. |
DAVE41:Which good news do you hear form the south, LMAO |
ChrisKels:Are the linesmen also included in that romance ![]() |
comodo:Yeah, fair point. Conserve energy as long as possible. |
somehow:Yeah, you do know your football ![]() |
Why has Rohr decided to cede possession to the South Africans. I mean we have the better players. Why are we playing like the underdog? |
Mickael2:If not for poor officiating and wrong call from the linesman, we should be 2-1 up. |
