Sarri doesn't have a plan B. He will keep getting fuckkkkked by the elite coaches that are capable of tweaking their tactics and would most likely never win anything with Chelsea. Good news is his plan A, Sarriball, is capable of beating 80% of the teams in the league so Chelsea should always finish in the top 4. He's basically Wenger without the trophies. |

Sarri, he never has a plan B. If plan A (Sarriball, which is basically pass, pass, pass and pass some more) doesn't work, his team is basically bleeped. That's why he's never won anything and he's almost 60. Say what you want about Mourinho but dude is a born winner. Can't say the same thing about Sarri. |

Spy360: Team Selection Challenge Predict our possible line up vs Leicester.
You might become our next manager if you are spot on. This is not necessarily a prediction but 4-4-2 seems to be the formation that maximizes our best attacking talents. I mean Auba and Lacazette on the pitch at the same time pretty much guarantees 2 goals most of the time. A midfield of Xhaka, Torreira, flanked by mhiki and Iwobi looks good. Ozil and Ramsey will find it difficult to fit in a 4-4-2 |

Unlimited22: See Alex Iwobi. I'd like to see him against a big team tho. Also, we need to find a partner for Ndidi. Except you don't count Chelsea as a big team, he played very well and did score against Chelsea when Arsenal played them. He's being in beast mode so far this season regardless of the opponent. |

Spy360: L Jardim for me is on par with the likes of Pochentino and a little below the likes of Emery and Klopp. This is despite their poor performance this season. I feel Monaco must have been carried away by the cuteness of having a T Henry as manager, because I see no reason to let Jardim go. Leonardo Jardim would be a good choice for Man Utd. It would be a sensible decision to get him, which means it's not gonna happen as Woodward doesn't do sensible. |

Danielnino00: Believe me,the kind of insults Nigerians rain on the super eagles is nothing compared to what south Africans do for their national team Well, it seems they have unrealistic expectations of their team then. It's not like the team is underachieving. Considering the poverty of football talents in that country, they are just about where they should be. |

Do South Africans hate their national team or something? Small African Nations like Seychelles, Cape Verde, Niger, Togo etc consistently fill at least 60% of their stadiums, while a big nation like South Africa can't even fill up to 10% of theirs.
Embarrassing TBH. |

Just love the structure that's associated with this Arsenal team, especially when attacking. The players seem to be acting under instruction, a total contrast to Wengers method where the players just go out there and freely express themselves.
Things will only get better as the players have a better grasp of the new system
|
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by KevinDein: 6:41pm On Oct 10, 2018 |
Roland17: In my initial post regarding this issue, I was careful to use the adverb "Mostly". That being said, Koulibaly is a very good defender, however, no one has watched Koulibaly outside of the Serie A/ Senegal and we are not sure if he would transition well. Boateng bawo? which one? The current Boateng or Boateng of 4 years ago? Varane may be the one I am open to but again, he is not exactly black.
Maybe I should rephrase and say I prioritize intelligence, particularly positional intelligence/ awareness and technique over brute strength/ power for that position. I'm finding it hard to believe those black players I listed would be key members of those top clubs without intelligence and technique. Admittedly black players are known to be physical and much stronger than players of other races but that's not all there is to their game. Bailey himself was once a fine defender in Spain until he got ruined by Jose. Watch him regain his form under another manager. |

Another point; it's amazing how much better Arsenal play in second halves (scored the most second half goals in the league so far). This is testament to Emery's in-match reading skills and the fact that he isn't afraid to tweak his system or sub off under performing players no matter who they are. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by KevinDein: 2:17pm On Oct 07, 2018 |
This team is just built to score goals. Amazing the amount of clear cut chances they produce almost every game (albeit they so give up chances themselves). The pattern of attack is very unpredictable, multidimensional and that makes it difficult for opponents to live with them. I'll stress it again, we'll outscore many teams in this league (we could have outscored Chelsea if Auba and Mhiki didn't have an off day).
We are heading in the right direction and we'll be so much better if Emery eventually gets his own players.

I think the thinking is since our defense isn't great at the moment we might as well play an open game and concede goal scoring chances to our opponents while we produce our own chances. We have superior attackers than most teams so more often than not we will outscore our opponents. I won't be surprised if I see a lot of games with scorelines likes 3-2, 4-3, 3-1, 7-6 O ye fellow gooners, it's gonna be a nervy but fun and exciting ride this season. Enjoy it. |

Jacobx007: 2 attempts on target for Chelsea, incredible Sarri's Chelsea is a total contrast to Emery's Arsenal. Chelsea these days basically just keep the ball, pass it around but don't produce so many chances. Of course the opponent too doesn't produce much chances because they don't have the ball. Arsenal these days produce truck loads of chances and are not bothered if the opponents have theirs. They are confident they'll outscore the opponent. |
