I'm really sorry about your experience. This Canada journey can mess with your head but don't fret about it. It's possible they are just randomly approving applications or they are doing some secondary verifications (they did that to some applicants last year after receiving passports). You'll give us good news by early next week.

A very big thank you to VFS and IRCC for doing their very best to confuse, depress and mess me up since I submitted my passport on the third. Thumbs up to them for skipping my application ever since. More wins

Me I submitted on the 3rd and got last emails on the 16th too o. I know sum1 who got those 2 on the 18th and got the fourth this morning.

I just got this “Your application, tracking ID xxxxxx has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 11/25/2020 8:50:53 AM”. I dispatched my passport to VFS Lagos on 9th of Nov and it was received by the legend, Mr Festus on 10th Nov.

What does that message mean? Because it’s amazing IRCC is just receiving it

So i should wait till next week then? That would be rough. I m traveling upper week

That would be the conclusion from this. I still think they divided this thing into two parts. Obanidavid got his LOI and counterfoil last week despite submitting the same time as those who got it on the 11th. Same thing with bebzo. It means that they broke it into two streams.

Would that imply that IRCC received my passport 8 days ago and still has done nothing about it? Would it also mean that when IRCC begins to work on it, they update the status on the VFS server by themselves and not VFS?

It means your passport is now with the embassy. When you get a notification that your passport is being processed, it means they're working on it at that time. When did you submit by the way?

Getting nothing this week implies a postponement of my flight which incurs extra 100k. I booked it towards over a month after passport submission so it wasn't like I rushed. I really regret submitting to Lagos VFS and wouldn't mind taking it back and sending to Abuja even if I ll need to pay extra fees. I don't know why a bunch of folks can be so unprofessional and reckless in work processes. Error mails, unreachable phones, stupid timelines and faulty trackers. Later someone will come and say we re mailing them too much and they can refuse us for that

You and I are in the same situation. There is radio silence at the moment on our cases. I think (and someone told me too) that it seems they divided our batch into at least two sub-groups to treat. Those who got VFS email yesterday and further updates today are in one sub-group which I hope is random. We are obviously in a different sub-group hopefully not deliberate but a random workflow routine. We will know more later in the week or next Monday. We can only start worrying if a different batch gets result ahead of us, then that would be a thing to worry about. Keeping hope alive!

I am not sure I understand your question but if you if submitted to VSF on the 3rd, YES, I did. I got my PPR on the 3rd and submitted on the 3rd, it was received by Festus on the 4th and transmitted on the 5th. I received 2 messages on the 16th and another one on the 23rd. Then counterfoil and approval today. No LOI yet o.

Is there anyone that didn't receive a mail from VFS yesterday and got approval today?

I dkdnt want to comment on this but I think it's about time. Some people come on to this forum to inject fear into those that do their best to get their applications processed as fast as possible. Yeah Blavkmann went a little harsh but which one is "that doesn't mean they can't change it"That statement was so so so wrong. How can someone get admitted, get docs, apply for visa, do medicals, biometrics and submit passport and just because he sends multiple mails your mode of advice is to scare them with such a huge deal. Some of us have started classes already, our courses are dense, too dense to study online without total privacy, high bandwidth and better resources. Some of us are getting our grades screwed, trying the best means to get out and straighten them up. It's on this same forum that some people gave testimony of application finalization after multiple webforms, mails and calls. You can't jump on here to cool people down with fear or deceleration. Have you met anyone whom they rejected due to webforms?


One more thing is you cant just be using your own reality to be measuring people's success.You re asking someone not to be overzealous when they get to a civilized country. You dare call people living during the worst Nigerian period ever period ever? Just because he joked and pointed out their inefficiencies and talked about showimg film? The name of the Deputy High Commisisioner/Acting High Commissioner of Canada to Nigeria is Ryan Ward.

You can send him a mail too on ryan.ward@international.gc.ca.

I bombarded them with mails last week sha. I even sent a mail to Marco Mendicino (the IRCC minister). Funny enough, they usually, unlike those webforms that they don't respond to.

I basically reported Lagos office to them.

I really don't know what the problem is or whether it's IRCC or VFS that's delaying. Folks with whom I have the same passport submission, reception and IRCC transit timeline have gotten the fourth mail one must get before stamping but I m still waiting. 20 days gone.
