Typhoid diagnosis is a scam in Nigeria. The true incidence is very very low, and the confirmatory test is with blood/urine culture, which no lab does in Nigeria.

You contributed to the negligence via self diagnosis and wrong treatment with your over-the-counter drugs.
Learn not to do the same with your wife in order not to get the same result.

At the bolded I beg to differ. Blood and stool culture is done in naija. Even mushroom labs do it, just that majority of Nigerians even some health professionals will do just one widal test and say you have typhoid.

Then some of my colleagues look at what patients can afford and write for them. Many people cant afford 3.5k or more to do stool culture, so they do widal which is just 1.5k or less.

You've tried several antibiotics without success. I believe you've also tried drugs like procold, flu-j, actifed, piriton, loratadine, paracetamol, vitamin C and so on.

Please see an ENT specialist and stop using yourself as a guinea pig for drug testing. Things like sinusitis can present in this manner as well.

Try see an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor.
Get well soon.

You only went to the hospital when her condition had already became critical and probably irreversible, and then, expected a miracle to happen.
That's the usual trend in Nigeria.
Bros, the negligence, misdiagnosis, and wrong treatment started from you. There's no complications of malaria and typhoid one could suffer for years, especially in this era of bountiful antibiotics and antimalarials.
Your mother was most probably never correctly diagnosed till her death, and you contributed significantly to that.

As busy as PH airport claims to be, how many domestic flights land there? Only Lagos and abuja, maybe Kano as for international flights I'd say zero patronage because on several occasions I have had pals take flights out of PH to Lagos and abuja to catch an international flight.

Ps I live in PH several years so I know my onions on the state.

Do you see the international patronage? That 1m person on domestic flights you see there are leaving to catch international flights in either Lagos or Abuja.

It's obvious that you are blind. No wonder you cant see that both international and domestic flights are shown on this picture.

A big city like Port Harcourt should have an effective waste management system. I am highly dissatisfied with what I am seeing, here.

There should be huge disposal trucks assignment to each community for the collection and transportation of waste and rubbish to recycling plants.

You can generate power from waste. Even manure, I believe.

Ask yourself how many Rivers people do you see running to the SE for better life compared to the thousands of them migrating to PH on a daily basis?
