dukeprince50: lol, at the bolded but who will solve other problems abt politicians, recently they want to pass a bill on politicians receiving pensions after they leave office, they are not comfy with stealing while on seat, they still want to steal after they leave office, its getting worse by the day They would only have their way if we let them do what they like without ranting online, offline and backing it up with some heavy protests that would shake them to the root because it concerns our lives. The only reason why they take us for a ride is because we are all docile in matters that would turn our entire lives around and quick to cast stones on matter are less relevant to our lives, for examples some silly never do well lawyers and human right activists in this country are able to organise heavy protest to prosecute pastor Krest just to make some quick money and recognition but when it comes to bigger matters that would put their names in stone of time and give them a reputable recognition and money but with higher risk they would all look away and become useless all of a sudden. We need to set our priorities right in the country, if a politician steals and we don't allow them enjoy their money or even drive freely, fear would set in and they would sit up but they have seen us as talk more and no action people that is why we are treated as third class in this country. |

I think that part should be addressed because a lot predators would go scot free through that clause. I want to believe that the house is intelligent and know what to do about it. They should also take into consideration the fact that there are some members in the house who are pushing the interest of ASUU in the house and if they could have their way, they would render the bill null and void. Those ASUU people! they are always quick the bad eggs among them even if they are aware that some lecturers are guilty, they would still go ahead and defend them without taking the plight of the students into co consideration. Birds of the same feather. |

Pls if the air I breathe is not urs don't just quote me unnecessarily, its not everytime I make use of my home training oga this is one of many problems we are having in this country, out of one hundred, one has been solved. The remaining 99 would also be addressed by God's grace. If you have a daughter that was sexually molested by her lecturer, I am sure you would be happy. But they did well by adding that clause of prove of intention because some female students and most ladies behave like ogbanjes, they are always looking for avenues to pull a man down. But those lectures especially the male ones, most of them are useless as the share button on nairaland. They are ready to pierce anything that has hole with their dick. |

I am not impressed, why should I leave Africa and go to Liverpool to tour just to check wildlife conservation, when I am not dumb.. I would rather go to Kenya, Zimbabwe, some parts in Nigeria but Nigerians won't stop consuming wildlife and South Africa but the thought of Xenopho alone would discourage me. I can only go to UK for football but not wildlife. |

Bloghomies: Social Media was created to be addictive.. Every day, new lines of codes are added, psychologist and experts in human behavior are employed, to tweak the program in order to enhance longevity. If you're not the drawn to social media, you're lucky. But there are billions of people who are. Even NL can be addictive. The aim is to use these platform as tools, but not everyone can adhere 100%. Which is why sometimes, you just have to uninstall and breath some air. I am addicted smh to nairaland because of news and updates but other social apps I seldom check... FB ones in 4 weeks or two sometimes months and sometimes a year, Instagram has been deleted I have been gaining nothing from that app. Twitter ones in a week or two for gists but nairalad!!! May God deliver me... Only check when I am less busy though. |

Airpeace is the winner in all these.
The man is cashing in big time and also expanding their international coverage. Once these countries grant landing rights, Airpeace automatically start international flights to these countries. Moreso, Airpeace is charging exorbitant price, compared to other airlines it is better this way... Than having other carriers cashing out on us with far less treatments. Why are you so disgruntled? |

When would you guys have sense, what if those she is contesting against hired some Nigerians to sabotage her effort, those people they are even talking about could be some Igbos overseas. Abi can't you see clearly that some Igbos on the same platform don't like her? Just imagine if they get paid by some rich Egyptians to tarnish her image, do you think they would consider the fact that they are from the same tribe... Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is Igbo. This means that certain tribal groups in Nigeria would automatically hate and campaign against her, even if her clinching the coveted WTO office would directly and indirectly benefit them. They are born to hate anything Igbo. I am not sure anyone who is human can do anything about this hate. You should ignore them and carry out an aggressive and diplomatic campaign. what if the people they are talking about are also igbos who she has some issues with? |

The gvt and ASUU are the reason why Nigeria education is in bad shape....
Just imagine, Unilorin VC stopped on going exams just to join ASUU strike. A school that doesn't go on mass strike before.
I even thought maybe because they didn't pay them but to my surprise those hippopotamus stopped their students from rounding up their exams because of ordinary incentives when their salaries are not tampered with... To make the matter worse corona and IPP joined. All that aside, lecturers would molest female students and make life a hell for male or female students just because they have the power to do so, the entire ASUU is guilty of these.
ASUU are bunch of jokers while our government are bunch comedians. |

If not that there are some useless and corrupt deals between them and the ambassador, would he have the guts to walk out on them?

fatosky1: This is really a trying time for Nigeria & the fight against corruption. EFCC is not a useless agency. Politicians, civil & public servants who occupied positions of trust are the useless set of human being.
Go & check Nigeria constitution very well, their are adequate laws & provision meant to punish stealing, graft, misappropriation & conversion of government funds & assets into private use. The Nigeria police & judicial officer in the court will scuttle & drag the prosecution process.
Politicians & civil servants don't fear laws again because lawyer will come to their defense & truncate their conviction.
We need EFCC & special Court to try corrupt individuals & agencies alleged to have being involved in corruption. EFCC is useless and has been useless, DSS those one's are bunch of miscreants. |
