This idiot is looking for a scapegoat for the fact that her people are xenophobic, and have been attacking black foreigners in SA for decades. 70% false accusation does not justify the action of some south Africans who are criminals, it is very clear that their government is in support of this barbaric act Nigeria government should call back her citizens create an enabling environment for those who wants to start a business and life over n then cut all ties with them |

FeedbackNG: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has stated that Solar Power Projects commissioned under the Energizing Education Programme is a testament to the fulfillment of the Next Level agenda, of President Muhammadu Buhari. Prof. Osinbajo said this recently in Kano State, where he commissioned the 7.1MW Solar Hybrid Power Plant, at Bayero University Kano, which is the largest off-grid solar hybrid power plant in Africa. According to him, this is the second Solar Plant to be commissioned within one month. He, therefore, reiterated the government’s commitment to powering Nigeria – one university, one market, one community at a time.” He revealed that the installed 7.1MW decentralized Solar Hybrid Power Plant will supply power to over 58,000 students and staff. The Vice President further emphasized that, the ultimate goal of the Buhari administration’s Next level roadmap policies and objectives under the Energizing Education Programme, is to increase access to modern technical education in safe and illuminated learning environments, empower the girl child, and create jobs in the power sector value chain, amongst others. He added that this project would create 182 energy related jobs from power system engineers to electricians as well as train 20 young female Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students with the skills to contribute to strengthening our energy sector. He said, “This significant initiative upholds the Federal Government’s adherence to global best practice, as we transition to cleaner sources of energy in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. These projects being implemented by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) are strategic to fulfilling our commitments to the Agreement as they strive to reduce Nigeria’s carbon footprint. “The leveraging of renewable energy technologies is in line with the Federal Government mandate and related activities. Nigeria’s plan to reduce carbon emissions by 20% unconditionally and 45% with international support by 2030 aims to limit the damaging effects of climate change. “This remarkable off-grid solar hybrid power plant being commissioned today is already on its way to bringing these goals and objectives to fruition.”

The Lagos State House Assembly has set up a committee to investigate the purchase of 820 buses by the administration of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
The lawmakers said the governor did not get the approval to buy 820 of the 5,000 buses he proposed for mass transit in the state.
In a motion titled, ‘Lagos State House of Assembly Motion Number 2,’ the lawmaker representing Eti Osa Constituency 2, Gbolahan Yishawu, said the executive proposed to spend ₦17bn to purchase the buses in the 2017 budget, but it was not approved.
He added that in the 2018 and 2019 budgets, the state government proposed ₦24bn and ₦7bn respectively for the buses, which were again turned down.
Yishawu said the Ambode administration, however, went ahead to purchase the vehicles.
The lawmaker said the House was worried that 520 of the 820 buses were still awaiting clearance from the bonded warehouse and the port at the expense of taxpayers.
He suggested that an ad hoc committee be set up to investigate the cost of the buses and other issues surrounding the purchase to prevent a recurrence.

In his remarks, the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, said that the House must act urgently on the matter to prevent waste.
The House subsequently set up a committee headed by member representing Ibeju Lekki Constituency 1, Fatal Mojeed, to look into the matter and report to the House.

Joy2Dwise: I kept receiving pop-up messages from GTB on my mobile app stating that I was qualified to apply for loan but I kept ignoring them cus I knew that getting a loan is not as easy as that. I knew what I went through on few occasions when I had to take loans as small as 300k to sort out some immediate financial needs. It got to a point when I began to expect the bank to request the death certificate of my great grand father before they approve a loan amount that is not even up to my monthly earnings. The most embarrassing moment was when two close friends refused to sign guarantor forms because they claimed it was against their principle. I had to swallow my pride and go to a junior who eventually stood in as my guarantor at the end.
Out of curiousity, I clicked "accept'' just to see if it was real. Next message I got was that "your application has been accepted". To cut the long story short, I received an alert of about 1m.150k just few hours later and this sounded incredible. A scanned copy of the repayment plan was later emailed to me and when I did the calculation, I found out that the total percentage of interest is about 12% as against 22 - 26% which I was forced to cough out in previous loans I took from different banks in the past. This to me was a good deal even though I don't have a specific plan for it. Had to push it to my son's account while I wrap my head around what best to do with the money.
This instant loan and the attractive interest rate kept me wondering on the following:
1. Does it mean the banks now have so much money in their coffers to lend out to customers even without asking? 2. What is the reason for the low interest rate which to me is still far lower than what is obtainable?
I called my account officer to ascertain if I can invest it in FG bond but I wasn't impressed with the interest rate so I'm going to keep it in the bank pending on when I decide on what to do with it. Any good idea is however welcomed. you better start putting it into work, make profit and pay up before debt choke you to death |

duni04: Odumakin is a joker. All these rascals clamouring for restructuring should go and sleep. Let them channel their energy into holding the governors and local government workers accountable for the resources they currently manage. We don't want another N10billion naira national conference jamboree. Let us sit down and make sure the current system works! There is money flowing through government! We should provide ideas for utilizing this money to the benefit of all. Instead of colluding with these public office holders to steal money and them come back and claim the reason nothing works is because our system is faulty. Let's stop this foolishness please. If Nnamdi Kanu has better ideas for lifting Nigeria up, let him contest as governor of Imo. His popularity is massive there. He will win! He should them channel his ideas into developing imo and Iboland. Same goes for odumakin. you are expecting a system that is designed not to work a system designed bases on fraud to work it seems like you don't know what the constitution says about sharing formulae etc even if KANU contest as a governor and won he would eventually join the system and another KANU will come again and on and on it goes the best thing is to stay out of the system which he has done, Nigerians should start attacking our leaders abroad since their immunity from corruption charges and bad leadership is not guaranteed overseas this IPOB movement is an eye opener, if senators spends billions and they can't be questioned here let's wait for them to travel out and grab them by their trousers and skirts over there they are just like ordinary civilians |

TheGoodJoe: I often make a statement which he (Buhari) has not refuted yet that: Can Buhari claim to be northerner than the Sarduana (Sir Ahmadu Bello, first republic premier of Northern Region)?
That is the Constitution that Sarduana, Azikiwe and Awolowo agreed to; let us go back to it. Should that be a problem if he (Buhari) has no hidden agenda?
Which is what he (Buhari) is doing now; and I have been saying it that he (Buhari) will not restructure because once he restructures, the question of Islamisation will not be possible, the question of domination will not be possible, the question of excluding the East will not be possible because all these things are settled.
This is an eye opener. what you are seeing many Igbo's here are not even seeing it they believe Yoruba's are their problem when the north and the constitution running this country is actually their problem |

madenigga: to me siting that universiity in daura was totally unnecessary since its the first of its kind.
Reason being that since the students are going to be learning about our rail way system, why site the university that will help them learn about it in an environment where there's yet to be railways, why not site it in a place with a working and functional rail way, so they can have firsthand experience, so that going on IT wont be difficult. And it would be more of practical than just theory. Example Abuja
That apart Katsinas weather condition is harsh, i know people that just because of the dryness and heat during the day, they find it difficult to come outside without an umbrella, even when they do they start bleeding from there nose, NYSC corporate to be precise they had to redeploy.
Also instead of starting a university whereby students from all over the country must go to Katsina and Katsina alone to learn about this, why dont they use that money to eatables in every geopolitical zone in one federal university a new faculty that teaches all u need to know about it. its a another idea to steal money, they should upgrade the ones already on ground, but unfortunately the gvt would not listen and amaechi would not back out anything to make his boss happy so the idea popped up let cite it in Daura |
