This is a case of a a scam company suing a whole country and won because the government where educates illiterates who just love throwing money in the air for outsiders, thieves working in government to cash and not the citizens whose money is being wasted, how could you go into business with someone who does not have track records that could be investigated and confirmed
if not that if the government would allow the court verdict we the citizens who were not there when they made the deal would suffer for it, I would have encourage P&ID to seize Buhari and those legislature that want to use billi to buy cara family and friends to cover up the debt
but they are fraud such scam should not be condoned |

Just by saying it's unfair bla bla bla are you not feeling ashamed of yourself for saying that, do you senate president consider where the money is coming from? How those money was? made and the effect on people's lives who believed you are there to represent them and make laws that would cater for their well being and indirectly yours, don't you have a car or cars already, your salaries alone is more than enough to get u what you want in life
that is y it is very important for the government to make the legislative arm of government unattractive so that anybody vying for a post at the legis.. would be more effective and concerned about working with the gvt and the people for their betterment rather than being more concerned about lavishing public fund
place them on salaries that is not more than 5 million or less, an official car that would be changed by the government when due and those cars are not meant to be a souvenir when they are living office
bunch of money mongers
if it's an insult leave and let people who are ready to do the job for less occupy that seat ole |

kinglee007: You're very right. And it seems we're "kinda" doing that but (and it's a BIG BUT), the FG has to do this without any iota of COMPROMISE and SENTIMENT. Is this absolutely possible? yes it is very possible but with the kind of government we run in Nig from day one, I would say NO it is not possible na dem dem they will still compromise... despite all this measure with just one call to the high authority or comptroller general of custom by a very close associate just watch how the rules would bend to one person's favour |
Politics › Re: ECOWAS Appeals To Nigeria To Reopen Borders by King44(m): 2:22pm On Sep 17, 2019 |
kinglee007: Bros, the local brand rice are not yet of high quality as you think. Have you consumed it lately? Yes I quite agree that one should patronize his or her locally made products as this is what aids the development of a country. But ask yourself, is Nigeria really there yet? Regarding the rice ban and smuggling into the country, I will appreciate if the FG had put things in place to ensure that the locally made rice matches the quality of the foreign rice. Afterall, the foreign rice is more consumed not because of it's name "Foreign" but because of the taste. As much as we want to deny this fact, most of us know that the foreign rice tastes quite better than the locally made rice. And this really should not be this way. The FG can implement a "strict monitoring team" to ensure that we get a much more healthy and pleasant rice that is quite good to consume and produced in large quantity that can accommodate much more to consume. Provide the National Association of Rice Producers the adequate funds and support it needs to ensure this is done and let them "Honestly" use these funds for the right purpose and we will see a positive change in the right direction to development. While growing up, I used to know how good the Abakaliki rice used to be. What happened then? Let me guess, not much support from the government or rather, parasitic heads placed in positions they shouldn't have been over the years fed on the funds allocated for this purpose. And as much as this government wants to put us into "the right direction" with strict polices such as the closure of borders, they need to spray the insecticide inside the house and close the doors in other to kill the mosquito parasites within. Imagine if Dangote (and his likes) was given the opportunity to go into rice production in mass. Don't you think there will be a difference? So far so good, his spaghetti, macaroni, sugar, salt and other consumable goods produced by him has to an extent matched the foreign counterparts. This is "locally made". Imagine what will happen if other major locally made rice producers follow suit. Who will complain? Someone said something about security being curbed to an extent since the closure of the boarders. This to an extent is true. But like I said, "to an extent". Baba has a plan this I know for sure but he needs good advisers that will make his plan work.
May God Bless The Federal Republic Of Nigeria and bring back the Giant (in all areas) in us. I totally agree with what you said except your question is Nig there yet? this is one question that is killing this country we don't have to wait till we are there let's start from here from somewhere |

Most of the attacks on Northern Nigeria are from their side most especially those bandits. After they attacked they will run over back to Niger because its a safe heaven for them dia thanks for this, do you know how long we have been asking abd complaining that the government should do something about our porous boder until now that the government sprang into action had it been they yielded there won't be issues of Fulani herdsmen this and that and if not for the huge to ensure food security still the government won't do anything but thank God they are now taking active measures |

Foodforthought: Meanwhile a bag of rice = #22,500. Na hunger go kill una are you expecting it to be 10 thousand before?? sure those foreign rice that find their way in should cost 10k before sure the price would sky rocket if we we can't afford it we would start paying attention to local brand of rice that are of high quality and start purchasing that is how it works That is what a person with common sense would do and keep watching others that are not smart struggle racing with high prices of imported rice, if one could get local quality rice to consume one needs to change ones mentality If not for the sake of I would be doing free advert I would have like to suggest some Nig brands you should give a try |

BabaIbo: They should apply it to every border in order to be transparent. I also heard they don't operate at the border alone, they also go to people's stores to pack their rices, he said he went to somewhere one day and saw them packing bags of rice from people's stores, over 4 trailers according to him.
It's well, make them try release fund give us and make friendly business policies make we for startup factories/companies that is the way forward I am really glad they could go to those stores and get those smuggled rice out before they kill us with imported rice in this country the government should ensure the supply of improved grains, probably the government should get samples of rice grains from other countries and subsidize it for us to purchase and grow cos this our local grain is not of good quality if all these are put in place afterwards importation of rice should be made a treasonable offence against our economy and we that consume it when we have no other option we would learn to love and consume what we produce Singapore was worse than Nig, this was the step they took and today it's another story |

This border closure dey sweet my belle o! lol... but come Mr president they are still smuggling rice heavily into the country via the northern border since the border over there is porous or the northern border is not part of Nig

Just a gentle reminder, people like Prof Dora Akunyili of blessed memory succeeded in effecting giant strides whilst also working under several ogas at the top in a Nigerian government setting. If she aligned to ideologies like yours that good people should stay away on the other side of the fence and keep barking only without offering themselves, Nigeria would never have been blessed by her efforts. obailala: It's quite amusing and sad at the same time that quite a lot of Nigerians have this self-defeating mentality/ideology. We want change! we want change! Everyday we lament the lack of good people in governance. But then, when we have a 'good' person finally deciding to join governance, we mob him out of power, claiming "he wants to join them". How can our lot ever change if we constantly discourage the right people from getting anywhere close to power? How exactly do we explain this ideology?
What do we really want? Are we sure we truly don't just prefer the nincompoops to be left alone in power forever? don't be deceived that is going there to make a change as you have said, for instance I am Seun the man in concern government offered me a job and this government we are talking is not even buhari in person, I accept the job and one of the people who drafted me in is the devil or the devil messenger who is responsible for tweaking the budget (I am just saying) who do you expect me to be loyal to? what truth do you expect me to come out and say that won't ruin me? or have you forgotten the saying that says the person who knows how you got it knows how to kick you out? see it either you join them when u enter or not at all if he wants to make a change he should ride on the back of a horse he prepared himself so some higher voices won't dictate when he has to pee or poo |
