kikake:Nigeria possesses all the necessary elements to become a paradise, but our leaders are consistently dragging us backward. Their actions have extinguished the flame of patriotism among the common citizens. |
Nigeria cannot progress if the individuals in positions of authority lack selflessness. Individually, we require a reorientation. We've been conditioned to believe that government funds are for personal gain, adopting a "eat your own, I eat my own" mentality when the opportunity arises. This mindset is fundamentally flawed, and we need more than just the EFCC and ICPC to address it. Our judiciary system is deeply flawed, with little to no accountability for actions and inactions. |
Given that our nation's economy relies solely on consumption, wouldn't it be feasible for the federal and state governments to establish world-class factories and large-scale production companies, and subsequently privatize them to facilitate smooth operation and job creation? Taking practical steps like this could significantly enhance Nigeria's economy, as opposed to mere rhetoric. Every minister, governor, and leader in Nigeria has continually discussed measures to improve our economy, yet there's been a lack of tangible action. Additionally, why not organize exportation-oriented educational materials, seminars, and workshops for the public? We have abundant agricultural products that individuals and SMEs can export, earning valuable hard currency in return. |
This is the sort of occurrence typical of Northern Nigeria. Instead of fully taking responsibility, the commissioner of education is attributing a disease that's claimed the lives of students in the state to fate, rather than addressing the issue head-on. It's perplexing to witness him blaming God, an entity he's never met or seen before. |

If this is not fake news, how could Nigerian police engage in a gun battle with a lone bandit who reportedly had an empty gun? Even if it's true, it's unprofessional to kill him instead of apprehending him, especially since they've allegedly left the kidnapped victim in the hands of his associates. It's feared they may harm the victim in retaliation for the police action. The police should have pursued a strategy to track and apprehend the bandit rather than resorting to lethal force. It's evident even to a nursery pupil that the Nigerian police lack operational strategy. Bandits appear to be more adept at planning than the police force. |

The following conversation took place between me and a woman I was considering for a serious relationship, just 4 hours ago: Me: I'm uncomfortable with women having male friends, especially you. Her: If you don't like my choice of friends, then good luck. This interaction made me reassess my intentions towards her. While I had initially hoped to pursue a meaningful relationship, her response indicated she wasn't willing to let go of her male friends. This shift in perspective led me to accept her with her male friends, but it also changed my initial intentions. A serious man wouldn't typically pursue a woman who maintains close relationships with other men, unless he's a simp. Na only me know my intention for her naw

Yet, no Igbo lawmaker has had the wisdom to initiate this. But later, they'll cry out that Nigeria is marginalizing them. Just from reading the headlines, I initially assumed it would be about the Igbo community. |

I am a full-time realtor in Abuja, and surprisingly, I have never come across the location of this ongoing project. Given its significance as a transportation channel, it should be visible or known, but I have never had the opportunity to witness it. I'm not denying its existence o, but the project seems to lack any economic significance. It appears to be a waste of money, with various administrations working on it and seemingly benefiting financially. |

Hello Nairalanders, I want to learn how to save my money in USD without going to the bank. Since it's a new year, it seems better to save in dollars than in our weakening naira. Any advice or method you can suggest? |
India has left Nigeria behind, it's pathetic. |
You're not alone in this, everyone in my neighborhood seems to label me as a pastor, although they are unaware of the reality. Frankly, I'm not fond of being called a pastor. These ladies in the area give me curious looks and act friendly, presuming I hold a pastoral role. If only they were aware of my activities beyond our neighborhood, they wouldn't be addressing me as Pastor. ![]() |
