TOPCRUISE: The FCMB account number must have an Account name. And you can try contact the person on facebook You don't get it. All what First Bank is telling us is that the money was delivered to an FCMB account. That they need to contact their head office to be able to get the account number. |

NiceMen: Write an email to them to come complaint, include sending and receiving account and also include CBN for swift response. The issue we are having is that we do not have the account number of the receiver. All what we were able to find out is that the money was mistakenly sent to an FCMB account. |

Kobicove: The first thing you have to reaslise is that First Bank Limited really does not owe you a duty of care in this instance since the mistake is not theirs therefore going to call them out on social media may be counterproductive.
Here is what you need to do...
Since you already know the number and you know the bank FCMB, put in the info in your banking app and pretend you want to transfer money to that account it will bring out the name of the account holder.
Use the name to search for the person on Facebook and LinkedIn then tell him or her what happened and request a refund.
If the person refuses to return the money, write a petition to FCMB including all details of the transfer including a copy of your wife's bank statement and take it physically to the head office of FCMB on Marina and request that they put a lien on the account.
You must act very fast, time is not on your side!
Good luck The problem is that we don't have the account number. All they told us was that the money was delivered to an FCMB account. |

Business › My Wife Mistakenly Sent Money To A Wrong Bank Account by Kingdemu(op): 11:45am On Oct 27, 2020 |
We are in a dilemma on what to do as my wife mistakenly made an ATM transfer of N160, 000 to a Wrong bank account from her First Bank account on Friday. Having realised the error, we went to First Bank yesterday, Monday, being the next working day to lodge a complain. They made their findings there on their system and realized truly the money was not sent to the intended UBA account but to an FCMB account. They now told us to come back today to receive feedback as they will forward a mail to their head office in Lagos so they will be able to access the FCMB account information the money was sent to.
But surprisingly on going there today, Tuesday, they informed us the mail they sent to the head office has not been replied and that it is unlikely it will be replied anytime soon cos according to them, it appears that the head office desk has a lot on their hands. And that without the information they will not be able to contact FCMB for the matter to be resolved.
Kindly assist with the next line of action we should take. Thanks |

llade: Good Day All,
I observed that in the past few weeks after driving my 2008 V6 Honda Accord for a day, I usually have to put water in the radiator virtually every morning after driving the previous day. I have inspected the engine, radiator and have seen no visible leaks in the hoses or radiator. Also, when driving the temperature gauge is normal and does not go above the middle line. What do I do to rectify the problem please.
Thanks. Internal leak I guess. Holla Mr Gazzuzz |

radautoworks: **CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY SNEAK PEEK**
I scratched my head wondering how best to show appreciation to NLers. I didn't want to give something that is quickly consumed. Based on what I see everyday it seems there is a real need for people to be able to do basic code reading to inform/assist their mechanics (and know when they are being had), if I'm to accomplish my goal of changing the auto repair industry in Nigeria.
All 12 of these will be given away in December. I am still thinking of a fun, fair way to accomplish that. Input will be appreciated.
As always, thank you NLers. We may squabble but at the end of the day it is all love Hope this give away will go beyong Lagos and extend to us in the North. God bless Aunt Radu |

Autos › Re: mrbanji, NL Clearing Agent Is A Fraud-Avoid Him: HE HAS REFUNDED THE MONEY by Kingdemu: 9:26pm On Oct 25, 2020 |
wellheads: For further clarity, see the calculation below:
When clearing vehicle, the receipted payments is calculated thus:
Surface value+{38% of surface value}= receipted payments.
He said he would pay 755K, so the calculation goes this:
755,000+{0.38*755,000}= 1,041,900
Eventually, he paid 700,000, so the calculation is
700,000+{0.38*700,000}= 966,000
So difference due is as below:
1,041,900-966,000=75,900
That's the calculation.
So he collected 75,900 which he claimed he was to pay to customs account but he diverted to personal pocket. That's refund being sought. Mr Banji is a real fraud, a cheap greedy one at that who is willing to trade his business integrity for 76k |
Autos › Re: mrbanji, NL Clearing Agent Is A Fraud-Avoid Him: HE HAS REFUNDED THE MONEY by Kingdemu: 9:16pm On Oct 25, 2020 |
wellheads: My submission was that a total of N1,250,000 was paid to clear a car. It was also agreed that the surface value will be 755,000, pay regular charges totalling 38% of the 755,000 and he sort himself out with the balance.
When he was paying, he paid 700,000 surface value and the 38% based on the 700,000.
So the claim is that he needs to refund the 55,000 and the 38% of the 55,000 which he collected from the car owner and he never paid to customs service. No body is even talking of him reducing his service charge.
But he is claiming that he gained the extra 55,000 and the associated 38%. By implication, he could have also just paid 500,000+38% to customs, and gained 255,000+38% while the car owner suffer custom embarrassment and intimidations.
Finally, don't forget that the owner had to make extra payments to customs account for the sharp practice of Banji, in addition to sorting customs boys out. It is on that premise that he is requesting for the 55,000+38% of the 55,000 which Banji collected from him on the grounds that he was going to remit to the customs service, but which he never did.
I hope the explanation is clearer now. Oh ok I get it |
Autos › Re: mrbanji, NL Clearing Agent Is A Fraud-Avoid Him: HE HAS REFUNDED THE MONEY by Kingdemu: 8:43pm On Oct 25, 2020 |
I don't know if it's only me but I'm angry that the OP deceived us that he was charged by Mr Banji N1,250,000 for the duty but that the guy only paid N700k while the truth has gradually surfaced that the money for the surface duty he paid to Mr Banji is N775k while the remaining sum is agreed to have been spent on VAT and other expenses.
Well, that still doesn't exonerate Mr Banji as there is still the sum of N75k he can't justify where it went to and ought to be refunded to OP. |

Since Nekkycee is willing to pay 5k for 5 people and there are still others who still want theirs to be submitted, I think Seankhalifa should be magnanimous to accept 500 from others outside the first 5. That makes it a win-win. They get their CVs & application letters submitted for less, and more cash for logistics for Seankhalifa since its the same building that houses all the offices of the various states' commissioners. |
