I am very sorry for those shouting "let Buhari just resign", "Buhari must go" and those who are too ignorant to know the fact that Nigeria isn't a Tunisia or a Libya. The hard truth is that the Federation of Nigeria is a polity with a very unique structure whose complexity lies in its simplicity, that makes it almost impossible to unseat the central government by deceptive protests, burnings and wanton destruction.

They keep asking that Buhari should address the nation. Is the nation on protest? No

The so called protesters are just bunch of criminals vandalizing properties, and crippling businesses in the name of protest. If you deny this, then tell us who are the leaders or organisers of the protest?
And, if the govt agree to talk to them now, who will represent them?

They are mere bunch of sponsored, headless, irresponsible, jobless, lazy youths who do not know what they are demanding for.

It is now very clear that the Nigerian Army acted within the ambience of the law.

Section 33 sub 2 of Nigerian constitution has justified their act:

The section states;
(2) A person shall not be regarded as having been deprived of his life in contravention of this section, if he dies as a result of the use, to such extent and in such circumstances as are permitted by law, of such force as is reasonably necessary –

(a) for the defence of any person from unlawful violence or for the defence of property:

(b) in order to effect a lawful arrest or to prevent the escape of a person lawfully detained; or

(c) for the purpose of suppressing a riot, insurrection or mutiny

Dear FG Sir/Ma?

If ASUU demands your kidney in today's meeting, offer them one and beg them to call off the strike.

Dear ASUU Sirs

If FG agrees to offer his/her right Kidney, call off the strike without demanding their left kidney. Be generous!

Resumption of school is the only remaining viable solution to this unrest. And VCs should immediately fix exams within two weeks of resumption so as to pull those guys back to campuses.

We can't afford more of Lekki massacre

You see why I've been saying it is no longer a protest but civil unrest? Infact it legally ceased to be a protest the moment curfew was imposed.

It's unfortunate that the situation has reached this level. However, Nigerian army acted within the ambience of the law.

Will those that lost their lives in Lagos and Apo come back to celebrate with us in the new Nigeria we want to create by force?
Wisdom is profitable, violence is a waster, we will still come back to talk after violence. Will our talk raise the dead?

Only wth wisdom will we win.

When these so-called unarmed protesters attacked Governor's convoys, blocked roads and denied people legitimate rights to freedom of movement, burnt down Jaiz Bank, burnt down police station, break up Correctional centre and even released Criminals no one care to caution them on what the Government can do to avert this political orchestrated protest.

You are still expecting elected Government to be begging these set of people.

You can't be demanding for Good Governance and at the same time bringing down public and private infrastructures.

Would you permit recalcitrance in your own house? The answer is No!
But you want Government to permit anarchy, right?

PoliticsRe: Tony Momoh To Buhari: Listen To Demands Of #EndSARS Protesters by Kingdemu: 2:37pm On Oct 20, 2020
I never had an encounter with members of police SARS, but I stood in solidarity with the agitators even though we slightly differ in terms of the fate of the unit.

While I am for it's reform, the protesters are for it's decommissioning. In the end, the protesters had their way, the government succumbed to their demand and decommissioned it.

At this juncture, having made the gov't to disband the unit and quickly rolled out modalities towards reforming the Nigerian police, what was expected of the protesters was the suspension of the protest and instead monitor the process of implementing the reforms to ensure that it is effected to the later.

Where they started losing it was when some of those supporting the protests began to insult, malign and even blackmail those who question why they continued with the protest after what was seen by all as an initial success.

Also, perhaps intoxicated by the euphoria, other Nigerians who complained that their lives were made miserable as a result of the blockade of the road by the protesters were not left out in the insults.

Soon the protesters started behaving like the SARS they were up against, asking people to live with the hardship, that they were fighting for their salvation. That was a wrong thing to do. You can't force people into supporting your movement, you make your movement appeal to them, and none of which is by denying them their freedom of movement and telling them to live with it.

Now the protesters are saying thugs have infiltrated them, pointing accusing fingers at the ruling party. Whether the accusation is true or not is not the issue, what is the issue is that they gave room for whoever drafted the thugs by not listening to the voice of reason.

If they had listened, and quickly announced the suspension of the protest to give the government the benefit of the doubt, whoever planned the said 'infiltration' of the thugs would have done that, and their protest would have been a complete success.

Now they are busy trying to dissociate themselves from the thugs which will be difficult. Whether they were brought in to disrupt the protest or not, they are using your umbrella and hashtag. At this point, learn to take responsibility of your mistakes and move on, otherwise your own call for government to take responsibility will be a hoax.

From Robert Greene's Book The 48 Laws of Power.

LAW 47

DO NOT GO PAST THE MARK YOU AIMED FOR; IN VICTORY, LEARN WHEN TO STOP.

"The moment of victory is often the moment of greatest peril. In the heat of victory, arrogance and overconfidence can push you past the goal you had aimed for, and by going too far, you make more enemies than you defeat. Do not allow success to go to your head. There is no substitute for strategy and careful planning. Set a goal, and when you reach it, stop."

When the destiny of this nation was being squandered, you kept quiet.

$2.1billion arm money siphoned, you kept quiet.

$20billion missing in NNPC, you kept quiet.

They looted our foreign reserve from 62 down to $28.9 billion, you kept quiet.

Malabu oil deal , you kept quiet.

When militants were blowing our oil away you were clapping for them.

When all the monies budgeted for roads were embezzled with nothing to show, you kept quiet.

They showed you how much was stolen under NDDC you kept quiet.

You kept quite when the issue of $16billion power contract was mentioned!

Today you have the audacity to criticize a man who is building more infrastructures with less resources?

A man who is embarking on the biggest Social Investment Program in Africa.

A man who reduced Boko Haram attacks from 10 States to 3 States.

Please Let's fear God.
