Talking about ultimatums I really don't think a lady should toll that line. You could be placing unnessary pressure on the guy. Marriage isn't something you rush into although setting reasonable targets can help both partners in adequately planning for the future.

Rather than giving the guy an ultimatum as though you are some sorta property he has to claim while stocks last, get involved in his plans. You should be involved in the "making of the man" you want to spend the rest of your life with. Don't just fold your arms and watch him attain success all alone if you don't want to end up being objectified.

Talk about his plans together, share ideas, inspire him. That idea he needs for his next big leap might just be a causal thought in your head.

In summary, Be involved in making that ultimatum you have in mind a reality.
