gurus in the house pls I need your suggestions on the best gear oil to buy for my Nissan sunny 2011 popularly called fashola model. The car comes with a cvt gear and it has given me peace of mind and mind blowing fuel economy. But I noticed that the gear oil color has changed from light pink to brownish color though the car still drive perfectly. I believe I need to change the gear oil so the gear will last longer. But my fear is not to buy a wrong or fake gear oil na why I dey seek advice.

Nissan NS2 is NOT Pink, but GREEN. If you desire it, I can have the genuine Nissan NS2 CVT oil sent to you. It doesn’t come cheap though.

hello guys, i hope you are all doing great. my car's engine switches off on it own, for example if i ignite the engine to steam it, it goes off by itself after 4-5 minutes, if on motion and theres a need to slow down it goes off too... someone told me it's a plug issue, the car is a KIA soul 2013 model

Is the car an American model Kia Soul?
I suspect it’s throttle position sensor may be faulty. Pls scan and post codes.
Beware that Kia Soul sold brand new by Kia or Dana motors in Nigeria have limited support for OBD ii diagnostics.

Abs speed sensor means nothing. Handbrake on,it can be cleared via obd scanner. Tho source for used abs speed sensor wire,cut and join.no time.

the ABS indicator keep showing once a while from the dashboard of honda EOD but doesnt affect any functionality of the car.

atimes i will speed up the acceleration to check if it will affect movements in anyway but wont.

i dont know if anyone has experienced such and the eventuality of it

Stop doing guess work, scan the car ABS/brake system and post the codes, I’d help tell you how to go about it.

That single difference in part number is an indication that it’s not meant for your car. Your car’s exact part number ought to match all figure and character on the ecu sticker.

Though, the input/turbine speed sensor error is still there even after changing the sensor and rewiring.

Do you think the wrong ECU is responsible for this error?

I’m looking toward the ECU being a culprit. That said, I have not diagnosed or tested the car so I am not 100% sure.

Because the V6 have VCM Technology (2 cylinders can shut off when not using full power) which was problematic.
This was corrected from 2013 model upwards. If you must buy v6, go for 2013 and above.

Just reading through this thread, Oh boy car ownership can be bitter sweet , unexpected expensive can come up all of a sudden and owner can spend twice or more if issue isn't fixed right. Sometime I feel I have rest of mind using public transport or Uber

Recently i discovered my camry 08 v6 shudders briefly when accelerating or climbing a hill within the speed range or 60 to 80 km/hr.

The shudder feels like mild grinding sensation that comes on and off only when accelerating within theaforementioned speed range.. it rarely occurs when driving at constant speed.

I thought it might be my inner cups so i had them both replaced but the issue still persisted.

Also did alignment but the problem still remained.

My tyres are brand new so i can rule that out..

Later i felt it might be linked to the transmission so i did a drain and refill (twice) with Toyota WS atf. The transmission fluid was still quite pink though.. as this isn't my first time. The problem didn't really go away but i think it may have reduced a bit (might just be my mind playing tricks on me).

Please what do you suggest i do... i have run out of ideas.

It’s safer and better to replace that item. Any wrong fix and should there be a breach in the continuity, you’d either fry some electrical components or deploy airbag.
