P0037 Fault Code = refers to an O2 sensor and It’s under the body of the car, it needs to be replaced.

P0016 Fault Code = refers to your camshaft and crankshaft alignment. You need to get a genuine OEM timing belt, replace it and time that engine accurately. Please, while at it, check to ensure your water pump is in good condition. If it has started showing signs of wear, I advice you replace it.


This is NOT a DIY job, it’s a workshop job and you should get a competent technician to fix it.

But after he's done with the repair the sound of my car has change to unpleasant sound. (2) The engine performance drop below 1 on the dashboard. I asked him to increase the performance which he did, but after much driving, the engine goes below 1 again. Please what could be wrong with my car sir?

I don’t know what could be wrong with your car till you scan it. Please scan and post codes here. I am however suspicious that your ECTS-i is bad but my suspicion may be wrong though, so please scan and post codes here so we will guide you accordingly.

I drive a nissan primera 2005, it overheats once in a while, the technicians said the thermostat was bad, couldn't find a replacement, so the old one was installed but refused to work, the thermostat was removed and I've been driving it like that.

The problem is I noticed the fuel consumption has really increased.

Can removing the thermostat cause higher fuel consumption?

Just get the complete body of a dark green 2010 Lexus ES350 without any engine, gear or wiring...if you use any another color of Lexus ES350, e no go work o...then transplant the gear, engine, complete wiring and dashboard of a Golf 3 to it..with some cut and join, it should work well insha Allah.

Ebuka, my late neighbour that year transplanted a Peugeot 505 engine into an Altima..it worked well for about a week until the engine detached from the car while he was on top speed along Obajana road..sad he died in the process...

But we know say na im mechanic no tie the engine well to that car's body, na why e detach laidat..Ensure your mech tie the engine to the car body wella..if e fit use those iron twine rope wey dem dey use anchor ship for harbor take hold the engine, it will be perfect.

centre stack buttons for LX and SE are just big flat buttons with two round knobs at the end to control the AC, and driver’s seat has manual levers to slide and adjust them. Some mid level tier trim SE or LX has sun roof and some people add chrome tipped exhaust.


The EX models which are the top tier (full option)have 3 toggle switches which control dual zone climates and cabin air inlet speeds, driver seat are electronically controlled. They all have Sun roof and chrome tipped exhaust outlet.

Check and replace PCV valve with a working type. If oil level drops still occur, Then your engine is smoking.

The worst advise I can ever take is ring engine. It's a total waste of money expecially if the engine shorts oil. A new engine is always better. Expecially the 2.4 litre engine. Honda, number 1 maker of internal combustion engine actually have engine that last a taste of time if properly maintained. So, getting a new engine isn't a waste.

I rebuild engines especially k24 and I have never regretted it.

NB: before I rebuild any engine I check for some very very intricate details and I charge an arm a leg and a ball.

Well unfortunately I didn't ask for the codes
They only scanned for plugs, air flow meter,air filters all were good, but got this check engine light I was told its a steering sensor, I got the srs light and esp light
I even replaced the catalytic converter with that of China yet just a little improvement

I still suggest you scan for codes and also ensure your brakes are not binding, your axles have differential fluid have appropriate fluid and at appropriate levels, ensure your wheels are aligned and are factory recommended tyre sized and pressures.

Some folks will say replace valve body, trans filter and trans fluid (no warranty and once money is sent you can’t get it back), I’d say you should replace transmission and call it a day!

Location of the car?
Shaking from steering could be either Tie-rod ends or brake rotors. For perceived oil smell, your car needs to be physically checked to know what’s going on.

My friend just bought a Honda Accord 2008 4plugs with engine misfires, rough idle, poor fuel economy and hard gear shifting.

Engine scan revealed the following faults C1555, C0700 and P2185.

Do kindly advise.

P2185 is a code for ECT sensor 2
For the bolded, what scan tool did you use to scan the car pls?
Get a very good scan tool to scan it, a scan tool that is compatible with your car. The codes are somehow.
