From the camera angle, I can tell the car had a dashboard redo, the centre nav screen has had its liquid spilled or had a discolouration. To replace that, you'd need some good cash to spend.

Don't know if they originally did it just for better gas mileage or the original engine and gearbox had issue and only that of C180 was available to them. But for whatever reason, it's truly a wasteful and stupid venture. Present owner bought it like that naija used and brought it to our car stand and on inspection we found these anomalies and decided not to go thru with the purchase.

Better stay clear off that car. Lol.

So guys, I saw this w202 C280 that originally came with a 4-speed automatic gearbox (according to VIN check) but now the engine has been swapped with a 4cyl engine (I think that of a c180) and 5-speed automatic gearbox also installed. Seems another ECU was installed (constructed) as the original wearing of the ECU is there dangling in the hood. This car can be cruising at 100-120km/h and the rpm will be resting just somewhere around 1200-1500. Now my question is, does this imply a better gas mileage?

ECU was piggy banked.

For that rpm range, fuel economy will be good (assuming the tachometer readout is accurate) and all other fuel trim monitors and adjusters are intact and working as should.

Very nice question my brother and I will answer this ya question based on my experience on infiniti fx35 (I don't know about other cars).
1st, u can't compare our roads with that of Yankee roads
2nd,u can't compare our weather with them
[s]On infiniti fx35, under d exhaust long pipe, there is a sensor there which many naija mechanics and electricians don't know, each time u drive based on our bad road, the more that sensor is been hit by potholes, the more chance it fades and that sensor works with key nob sucks on fx35. Once that sensors dies as a result of our bad road, u Don park ya fx be that and that's when electricians will be doing try and errors work on ya fx and turn ya car to learning ground[/s]
� � � [s]so that's why I always advice people that drive fx35 to change that nob suck key to normal key so that once our bad road kills that sensor, ya car won't be affected[/s] . Though that sensor can be changed but the problem is which electrician can dictate it for u?

My brother every car has its coins and pros and secrets. Many people here complain that infiniti fx35 always have electrical issue and I believe they say that out of experience. [s]My advice based on experience if u want to enjoy fx35 is this, 1st once u buy it, remove that follow come key nob suck and chance it to normal key without nob suck.[/s] 2nd,make sure fuel doesn't dry up (I mean driving ya car till fuel finishes) this pushed dirt to the fuel pump. 3rd, make sure the catalyst converters are in good shape. 4th,use recommended engine oil which is 5W30 and its clearly written on the infiniti fx35 manual guide. At any time u change engine oil, change filter and pls make sure u avoid engine oil topping at all cost. Some mechanics will advice u to top oil but pls don't listen to them.make sure u buy original Belgium front linkages, don't buy new ones because if u buy new ones it will always break since the weight of that fx dey front. Bear it in mind that fx35 get weight ooo.. Use quality filter and lastly don't accelerate much ooo because fx35 dey speed like mad oo

i have a 2014 c300 4matic, the car was losing coolant, and overheating. so we changed the head gasket, but after changing the head gasket the car is not starting, No spark in three of the six plugs, pls does anyone has any idea what could be wrong with car? someone is telling me it might be the brainbox that have problem

Swap coils, if the same thing still happens, check the integrity of the wiring harness and Camshaft sensors and Crankshaft sensors. If they're fine, then you'd be looking at a damaged ECM. While at it, check the integrity of that engine and if it's not good, replace the engine.
