Iwayem1: Hello Nairaland, I need expert advise on what needs to be done. My 2017 Toyota RAV4 tailgate(boot) opens by itself whenever I park on just starting the engine. And it keeps closing halfway and then opens again intermittently. I can spend 15mins trying to have this closed. Once it closes, it opens again by itself if I don't lock the car immediately. I have check to see there is nothing obstructing it from closing yet the problem persist. Kindly help.
Check the body control module, boot ECM, power rear hatch actuator and boot struts. One or more may had been damaged or has lost communication. If you’re in Abuja, feel free to contact me to diagnose and fix this issue.
Mayeldah: Mileage is still around 55,000 though i doubt it becuase the speedometer wasn't working when i bought it, It is fixed now though. The car engine was changed years back and i don't have any history info of water intrusion.

What’s the mileage on the car and were those the original coils that came from factory with the car, are the coils genuine toyota coils and was there any water intrusion into the coil compartment?
Mayeldah: My Highlander 03's ignition coil keeps failing, I have changed two of it since I bought the vehicle in April but this week the car keeps stalling on the road while driving, it jerks a little while running idle. What can I do to resolve this permanently. Everything else works fine except this constantly failing ignition coil and plugs.
Someone with a solution should help.
Your Car should be checked by an electrician. Hope your car’s Sparkplugs are not worn out, the wiring harness wasn’t cut and joined in a manner than can cause electrician glitches and hope the car isn’t experiencing overheating issues?
blendz4real: Got the engine oil reduced to normal level, scanned the car today. A code C1330 came. The guy cleared and scanned again then no code came up again and check engine light went off. Should I be worried about the code? And what is the code indicating?

*Camry 07* After topping engine oil, mechanic mistakenly over guage. Check engine light disappeared. After a week check engine light comes on. Engine oil still above guage. After changing all these the car started having sluggish movement, skips and de-accelerates on motion. At times when I pedal on motion it will be as if no gear was engaged until it picks. I was advised to change the gear oil, clean filter and plugs which I have done but the issue still continued. Pls car experts what could be the cause of this problem and where can I fix it in Abuja.

Ask your mechanic to check the oil and throttle position sensor (tps). If it’s fine replace gear.
id4sho: Good day kingreign, my 2003 2az-fe Camry shorts engine oil. I noticed that oil escapes through a hose from the valve cover through air filter pipe to idle air control valve. My oil drops massively after 3wks of service.
Replace PCV valve, top up oil to appropriate levels, check for leaks fix it, observe if oil burns or escape.
adubam: Boss Kingrein well done. I was using Mobil 20w50 and my RPM rarely moved to 4000rpm except moving upward a hill it was usually at 2000 - 3000 rpm . Since I changed to Shell Hellix 20w 50 moving up to 4000rpm occurs often. I'm confused now if to go back to Mobil or continue with the Shell Helix. Camry 2.2.
Find out why it does so. Your car doesn’t use a a VVT system so scan it.

Buy brand new Automatic Compressor, Condenser and all components that may had been affected.
That engine alone has crossed the 1.5 million naira mark FYI. The engine is simply a disaster from a design standpoint. How Hyundai/Kia manage to pull the stunt of good sales is a mystery.
It is not a matter of if it will fail, it is a matter of WHEN the engine will fail.
My advice, port to any Toyota or Honda accord for peace of mind abeg.
