I notice that my car is experiencing long cranking whenever I want to start the car to repark in my compound.
It doesn't happen in the morning or even when I close from work. I usually park outside before reparking in my compound. I park outside around 6pm and repark inside my compound around 8pm, In-between these 2 hours I always notice this problem.
My car model is Toyota avensis 2011.
Note: The car doesn't jerk or stall while driving.
What are the possible causes pls?

u don't get me,we work beside the road almost every day,so we practically see cars trying to out runs each other. And we have see lots of accidents due to overspeed in our presence. One of the fastest cars I have seen on Nigeria road is Benz, Honda crosstour,pilot,Prado,range rover, Hiace,Ford and BMW. One of the fast cars that I have driven that gave me top speed and acceleration is Honda,Highlander and the Mazda

I don't think it will be that far difference. I see a lot of cars on the road everyday, and the cars I fear most is Honda's,Benz,BMW,ACURA,Toyota Hiace & SUVs. They overspeed and I rarely stop them & all this power bikes. My department and FRSC work together

0 - 100 km/h times for the is350 and c300 are 4.8 seconds and 6.4 seconds respectively. So wayyyyy slower

Dear Lexus family , I use a Lexus RX 350 2012 model. Some weeks back on the highway, the alarm went off with message “transmission fluid temperature high” something like that . The gear master says it’s the gear oil that needs to be changed but people are warning against that, saying Lexus oil doesn’t need to be changed . Has anyone experienced this how did you solve it . I have a toyota camry 04, when I put on the AC the rpm does not go up instead it comes down and it vibrates it doesn't allow the ac to cool but if I am accelerating the ac becomes cold and the vibration stops

I currently use a Camry 08 which runs very fine, I got an offer for an accord 13 which I like, problem now is the accord have some electrical problems it doesn’t move fast when on drive, was told some sensors need changing…

My fear is: is an accord 13 a good car to use? Does it break down regularly, does the sensor problem occurs frequently.. many thanks as I await ur input

Hello Dears Engr. Gazzuzz & other car enthusiasts here present.

My Toyota Matrix 2006 engine vibrates excessively even at 730rpm wen on D & R but smoothens out on N. Again, my confusion is, it runs very steadily on 900 to 1000rpm even on D & R.

Scanned & got these codes only:
1. P0128
2. P0441

Previous repairs: Engine mounts rear & front replaced, replaced air filter & cleaned throttle body & car has been driven more than 300miles since then. All coil are brand new, all iridium spark plugs look ok upon inspection, Change cold start switch.

Secondly, wen travelling on highway, the floorboard of the car vibrates excessively only wen i step on d gas pedal wen at 100km/hr & above. Below 100km, it runs & accelerate very fine even under heavy throttle.

Wen descending from hill with very light press on d gas pedal, it can speed up to 120km without vibration, but as soon as i throttle heavily, it starts shaking excessively.

So i try to maintain 100km/hr throughout my journey.

I need help pls.

I think someone really needs to explain this.
An average Nigerian is an inexperienced driver when it comes to powerful cars & Rear wheel drive cars. Most people are used to Camry and the likes with fwd 4 cylinder less than 170hp or at most the v6 versions with 250hp, fwd has more traction to an extent and your steering wheel is able to direct the traction since it Carry’s the engines torque (Fwd).
Now people are getting to like the Lexus and buying them with no experience, Gs350 , is250 , is350 some of them up to 310horse power to only the Rear wheels, with a light weight vehicle. Now these cars need some sense in acceleration else you’ll turn a 360 or hit the nearest road side kiosk or gutter, down shifting this car without caution on a sandy road or a bend will cause a crash . Don’t forget most Lexus in Nigeria are poorly maintained with abs and vsc lights displaying on the dash (no traction control), all these are recipes for disasters.
Some Buying winter tokunbo tyres and expired tires etc, Many drive drunk too, all these cars being in the wrong hands is the issue.
Power is nothing without control. Many don’t know how to counter steer or save themselves when this car looses control. Once you’re out of traction in a rwd, you will watch your self crashing in slow motion without being able to do anything about it

Assuming cars like mustang and dodge chargers are easily accessible many of this cars would be in collisions daily .

Stop comparing fixed crash tests to real life scenarios.
