Hello good people. I'm beginning to be bothered about the issue of hard start with my car. Three different mechanics have changed the fuel pump but the hard start persists.

Initially, the car hard starts and kicks but now it hard starts and goes off. It only kicks after about three attempts. Everyone keeps saying the problem is from the fuel pump. I have changed the complete fuel pump three times but the problem persist.

Please I need professional help and advice on this embarrassing problem. I'm in Abuja

First your mechanic is not a serious one, if he is familiar with nissan cars FX in particular he should know that the abs wheel sensor has no correlation with the speedometer just like toyota cars. He should plug the scanner to car then drive for real information of the speedometer reading. The turbine revolution sensor is attached to the transmission. FX don't use VSS like toyota.

the former owner of my car was using mobil XHp 20w50 for 2 years. the mileages is 165k as its showing there.

the recommened oil from the manual is 5w 20.

should i use 5w 30 or continue with mobil XHp 20w50?

Yes it was a genuine brand new shaft.

The tyre pressure is between 30-35 and I have done when balancing before

Someone advised I change complete rim, that my rims may be bent

Take it to a computerized balancing center to have the wheels checked. Hope your tyres are same size, specs and threads?

Omo! This is the reason I have not changed my Rx350 gear oil. After buying the WS gear oil, I have kept it in my car boot for a month now. A lot of our mechanic don't know anything and I don't want somebody to put holes in my pocket by messing up my transmission...🙄🙄🙄

Better change that transmission fluid or else it may fail …

9 quarts or 8.5Litre to fill up a dry transmission. But to drain and refill, you need 4.5 quarts

Let me try to explain this issue.

Car drives well.

However, when I apply the break and the gear on DRIVE, rpm goes to 500 while the bonnet vibrates....that is engine vibrations.

If I turtle just a bit let's say rpm increases to 700 vibrations stop and further drive is excellent.

Car idle smoothly in PARK around 700-800 rpm.

Please note that all engine mount are in top shape.

Car is Honda Accord 2007.

My question.

1. Why this vibrations?

2. Rpm is not low on idle ( car in Park)
If rpm is low, can it be adjusted in Honda Accord 2007?

It is a puzzle that has remained unsolved.

I don't think they have anything to do with the vibrations.

P0141 is for downstream oxygen sensor. It's just for Cat monitoring and emissions.

P02185 is for the second ECT sensor at the radiator.

Check for vacuum leaks around the intake pipes and the vacuum lines just under the intake manifold. You may also need to clean the throttle body. Pls before cleaning throttle body, disconnect battery and after cleaning, ensure you carry out an idle relearn procedure.

Even with your speed and overtaking and hazard light and rolled up windows .. Last sunday which was palm Sunday, we had a little task to perform in my church. The church chose 3 cars to transport members to the location where the task was to be performed. The cars they chose were highlander 2009(mine), one lexus es330 and one Acura MDX.

I noticed the lexus guy was inviting me for a race when he suddenly overtook me, turned on his music to a very high volume and wind up his Windows. The momment he passed, he turned on his hazard lights and zoomed off. I chuckled and to my people to fasten their belts cos the man was trying to ridicule my ride. I then began by playing Yinka Ayefele....

I changed the gear to the S-drive mode and then fired. In no time I caught up with him. I followed him for a few seconds then I overtook him. I looked at my meter and saw 170kmph reading.... I looked behind and saw him some distance away. In a minute, he caught up with me but remained behind me till we got our destination. As I alighted, his passengers ran to my passengers to complain about him and they said they were going to follow me back. My people were speechless cos of What they experienced in my car. I saw some of them praying while I was moving....
2 mins later the acura man arrived.

Yeah the fx 35 is my first option. I once drove one and I must confess it's performance was fantastic. It drove like a roadster - suv.
Its powerful, balanced, great handling, quick and the sound is so thrilling.
Unfortunately, it doesn't come with 4 x 4 but AWD instead as compared with the Pilot which is fully 4 x 4, comes with 3rd row seats, more Hp and is roomier.
Also considering this will be an everyday car I'm carefully considering, durability, Fuel Mpg (for Lagos) and overall maintenance.

I noticed the FX also has issues with melting dashboard does anyone have a solution to this??

Most Honda Pilot comes with FWD system, but some have a part time AWD which is termed VTM-4. On low speeds it engages its AWD and when the speed increases, it reverts back to FWD.

Pilots with Honda's Variable Torque Management 4WD system (VTM-4) sent most power to the front wheels under normal driving conditions. Under acceleration or if wheel slippage is detected at the front wheels, up to 50% of power can be sent to the rear wheels. The system also features a VTM-4 lock button on the dashboard which locks the rear differential and sends 25% of the power to each rear wheel. However, the VTM-4 lock function only operates in first gear, second gear and reverse, and automatically disengages above 18 mph (29 km/h), then re-engages when the speed drops below 18 mph (29 km/h).
