take note, you can't idle when the transmission is in the drive when you are in the traffic, So if you want to idle you need to shift to neutral. So why idling? Shifting up and down is a bad idea.

Is there a known issue with these engines failing. If it's on the off chance and more cautionary than certain for the engine to fail, it's a bill i can manage.

My main concern is with day to day reliability. I'd say I'm meticulous when it comes to maintenance. If I were to stick to factory recommendations for maintenance , do you see this car popping up with issues?

Manufacturer defect and also highly over engineered engine with very little tolerance for the slightest laxity.
A Honda engine is way more reliable than that Mercedes Benz engine. Remember, Honda is the biggest Internal combustion Engine manufacturer in the world.

I disagree with the bolded. Leaving the car on neutral should not stress the gear in anyway, but rather idling with a drive gear (R or D) is what stresses the gear.

Good evening house. My car vibrates a little and start blinking the check engine light. I stopped by for rewire and mechanic to have a check. I was told the line 3 on the cylinder is faulty .

I was told the issue is from my cylinder and not nozzle, plug nor coil. My mechanic worked on the cylinder, he showed me the line 3 side being oily.Replacing 2 valves on the line 3 and grinding the valves and cylinder. I changed the plugs to grade 1 tokunbo. After coupling, and starting the car for a long time. I realised if I'm on a spot on D it vibrates, returning to N, it will be normal. If I put ac on D while on a spot, the engine might want to go off but if I put on N, it normalizes.

Please, what could be the cause?
It's a camry 08 2AZ

Pls carry out compression test. Also, you need to ask your mechanic if he performed a break in procedure after the repairs.

pls note Any mechanic working with out an obd scanner or ignorant is a qwak kazeem , so start by buying an obd scanner at jumia or konga for 5k and above

High fuel consumption can be coursed by many factors

1) no themostat leading to open loop fuel injector operation
2) connecting the fan to blow continuesly
3) low tire pressure
4) using thick engine oil viscosity, that stressed out the oil pump for more power to work
5) insufficient EGR valve flow
6) excessive load, remove all unnecessary items in your car
7) bad driving habit, excessive acceleration and brakes when looking at beautiful ladies lol and slowing down at bumber
excess idle and driving at go slow with out putting your car in neutral ,
9) failing o2 sensor etc.

Pls this is highly debatable. Yes, idling for long periods of time will take fuel, however, putting your car in Neutral will have NO effect on your fuel consumption whatsoever. Rather, it will cause stress on the transmission. Please research more on these.

When I bought my camry it came with a 1 cell plastic radiator, after ignorantly listen to a qwak kazeem to buy a double cell and remove themostat then ,when I didn't know how a car works, which has been reversed by putting back the thermostat, but after resetting the fans to factory settings, I started observing gear oil shortage with out a dropping in my driveway, a kazeem advice I change a seal between engine and gear box , which I did but the shortage continued, but after resetting the fan at the gear box side to blow continuesly for safety sake, which I know is wrong the shortage stopped , which means the gear box oil shortage is course by overheating,

Pls note that the gear box oil cooling line are linked to the radiator

What your take? Should I re-buy the single cell radiator? What should make the gear box oil to over heat and course shortage? I need to reset the fan to factory for better fuel economy

Get an external transmission cooler for the transmisison. As for the Radiator, double cell is better cos it handles more cooling than the single stock radiator.

P0335 is the culprit. However, it will be better if you solve the whole issue with these codes.

I scanned and got these codes: P0500, P0986 and P0798.
Please how do I tackle this problem especially with the last two codes that point to solenoid.
Will replacing the gear brain box solve the problem.
Also, where is the vehicle speed sensor A located. (P0500)

For instance the fuel meter gauge doesn’t stay put to show the actual amount of the fuel in the car , it goes up n falls down like the hand of a clock , all the corresponding gauges does the same

I have no idea what’s wrong with it. Have a competent electrician check it.

Okay okay I am only trying to pull your legs.

Those U151F and U151E transmissions are known to ‘have a mind of their own’ and may delay or even suddenly shift causing that jerk when you try to accelerate sometimes. But I think you may have to give it to a technician to have a look at the car abs properly diagnose this issue so you don’t end up stalling the vehicle when you need to accelerate.

When i want to sellect gear the selection doesn't correlate with the one showing on the Dashboard, and even if i move the gear and put it on "grin" or "R" or "N" it doesn't enter directly, I'll have to move the gear handle a bit back and forth while looking at the dashboard and still checking the engine sound to hear or see when it has entered...but when it enters the gear selects perfectly without issues...please what could be wrong? My mechanic was saying something about gear wire and requesting for 15k

Re-align the PRND switch, if it still acts up, replace it.

Fuel tank was leaking and it was brought down after fixing it, now the tank is seriously vomiting when buying fuel. What are the things to check or fix to solve this.

check if the tank inlet piping is properly installed and tightened to prevent any leaks. Also, check for cracks in tank or along the inlet tube. Finally, check purge valve (it’s part of the evap system) and blockage in the evap system as a whole.
