As we proceeded through various turns in the mangrove to Calabar, I took a peak at the speed info and was shocked at the actual speeds we were doing. I still didn’t believe it though.
Each outboard engine was putting about 50knots and 51 knots of speed, and the speed readout was 158km/h on the display (which I still doubt)

The only water craft I may not wish to be in is a speedboat or a small canoe paddled by human efforts.

At 12pm, the vessel started its journey, and I was fascinated by the power output that these vessels had as it effortlessly glided through the relatively calm waters creating white water and waves at the sides and tail as it moves.

As we moved on, I could only imagine how big and deep the body of water was.

The craft also had, Garmin GPSMAP 585 satellite navigation receiver, a ball in fluid compass, a 2 Way radio receiver and communicator among others.

Okay my Egbon, but Errrm oron crayfish market opens on Sunday

I observed the pier was made of ‘L’ shaped steel members painted and woods were used as walking path, and chemical drums tied together acted as floating platforms which felt unsteady and slightly bouncy. However, we were made to walk to the platform and into the ferry in group of 3 persons so as not to upset the platform.

After the passengers disembarked the ferry, dropped their life vests, their luggage were offloaded and the ferry was cleaned, we were made to go into the ferry

I felt disappointed, and went back to the office where another staff told me to wait till 12pm that another ferry will be docking at 11:45am and we can leave by 12pm. I decided to accept my fate. And true to the words of the staff, at 11:45 another ferry came to dock

I was instructed to rush through the back office to the jetty that a Ferry was about to leave. But on reaching, the ferry was already out of docks and moving away.

I left my home at 9:00am on Monday 2nd January, boarded a cab from the Oron road park just after the shelter Afrique - Mbiabong Market for ₦1,000.00 to Oron. The small Nissan Sunny Salon was old and overloaded with 3 passengers in front (drivers inclusive), and 4 passengers at the rear. The journey took approximately 30-40minutes to Oron Kingdom. Where we stopped. I boarded a bike to the Oron Jetty for ₦150 and the bike rider took me to Sea Express Transit office. I inquired about the trip and the cashier was courteous enough to explain to me. I paid the sum of ₦3,000 and was issued a ferry ticket.

I observed that there is the Oron crayfish and fish market beside the Jetty, some boat technicians and some traders were at the vicinity.

Around May last year, my husband and I went with my 4 year old daughter to visit my sister in-law (hubby's elder sister). They insisted they wanted her to stay some days with them, that I should return for her in two or three days time.

After much persuasion from my oga, I left her. But my heart wasn't settled because I've never stayed away from her for that long.

Two or 3 months later, at the end of a Bible study I had with her, my baby said she wanted to tell me something. Hubby was lying on the couch. My baby said the period I took her to that house, the 15 year old girl was always sucking her vagina. My brain shut down immediately. Her dad jumped from the couch and told her to repeat what she just said. She did. She also said that the girl usually holds her mouth close during the act, and that she beats the girl on the head to stop what she was doing, but the girl refused and beat my daughter back.

I broke down. Hubby had never become so mad at his family to the extent of turning his back on them, to the extent of shutting his dad up, but he did all these because his only child was involved.

The family, they all said my daughter was lying. My question is: can a four year old lie about such? The nature of this supposed lie. I don't think so. But all the family members said my daughter lied. And even the girl denied it.
They are totally refusing to address this. They even after some weeks have codedly believe such happened and have called my husband to beg, hubby said so, I don't know if it's true or not. But me the wife, NOBODY, I REPEAT, NOBODY CALLED ME. Like I am nothing in their eyes. Not even the evil mother that insisted my daughter spent some days with them. It's not like if they called me to apologize it would change the past, no, but I might have some tiny relief.

My daughter talks about that experience till date. Even up till yesterday. I am beyond heartbroken. I can't forgive.

The family all turned their face away. Nobody cared to address it, even his parents. I'm thinking of going to their church to expose her because I hear the 15 year old girl is getting baptized next week. Hubby told me to forget about it, his brother told me not to try it. But anytime my daughter remembers this incident and brings it up, I become very disturbed. I don't know what to do.

Please advise me.

You ought to report the parents of that sex offender to the police station, get a lawyer involved as the parents are doing nothing about it, and also NAPTIP, then that child should be taken for proper counseling

On Saturday, I was in a bit of hurry and mistakenly connected my battery terminals the wrong way.. I connected positive to negative and vise versa. While this happened, it triggered an alarm in the car, I still didn''t know what the issue was and tried to start the car; the engine did not come on. I realised the mistake and connected back the right way but the car didn't come on. There was no cranking; it was as if the battery was flat but the same battery when I returned to the car I took it from worked perfectly.

I have not tried to start the car since then. What do you advise I do? What should I check ?

You didn’t mention if it’s a 2.4 or 2.0 or 3.5l V6, and if it’s a LEV or PZEV vehicle. You also didn’t indicate the symptoms you are experiencing.
If it’s a 4 cylinder 2.4L, you need to service something like this. It’s at the rear of your car engine.
If after servicing it, it still behaves same way, replacing it should be next.

Ensure you buy genuine Toyota Filter and change the Seals on the filter cartridge. If it still seeps, checks if the aluminum part where the cartridge tightens into is not cracked.
