Good evening house. All thanks to God!!! My visa application was approved last week and I got a new start date of may 2nd 2016.pls what are the necessary documents to take along with be for immigration Examination when I get to Canada.
2. Planning to leave Nigeria nextweek I hope immigration officer will not question me y I'm leaving too early since resumption is 2nd May.when do you think I should leave Nigerian?thanks for your quick response .
Congratulations.
From the latter question, its not too early to leave. I remember I also left months before my resumption. And for documents, you need to have handy your travel documents as usual, proof of school fees payment, address of where you'll be staying in Canada as you mentioned Calgary, the person's phone number and details if possible, errm, trying to remember if I left anything out...
I think that is basically what you need to keep handy in your hand luggage for immigration at check in.

Mohawk College gives admission to people much older than 33 altogether.
EcashPlanet:
Hello guys and ladies in the house,

Could you kindly help suggest colleges that would grant admission to a 33 years old adult. His academic qualification is a Diploma he got in 2003 from a Nigerian University. He applied to Selkirk and Lambton colleges for Diploma, Advanced diploma and PgD in Business Administration but was denied admission because he has a study gap of over 5 years.

Please is this clause of "5 years gap" thing applicable to all colleges and universities in Canada?

PS: I actually suggested that he send emails to other schools to find out if he could be admissible, but I'm actually wondering how many schools he would end up sending emails to.

Please anyone that has overcome a similar challenge kindly respond. Would sincerely appreciate responses from the house and from experienced peeps.

One love house!

Hi everybody, anyone heard about the new rules for PR's and Co-Op??
The new express entry now requires everyone to take the IELTS test. Everyone who meets the eligibility criteria will be allowed to join a pool. From the pool, Immigration will regularly select the top qualified to apply for PR. The process should take roughly 6 months. I attended a seminar about it, still trying to learn more as time goes on so as to know how to best apply for PR. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-express.asp

Now please my good people which of the hospitals would you suggest we go for the medicals tomorrow tomorrow?!

Thanks to you all my wonderful NL family for valuable advise and encouragement. God bless you all!

Slimdel: School work here is something,, Plenty assignments, labs, quizzes plus some other stuffs and time literally flys here
My dear, it is not small thing o. The work is really something else. And one cannot but to do well, especially after going through all the hurdles one crossed to get to this stage. I have several assignments with this week as due dates. I thought I would finish them all during the weekend so that I can relax and smile at my classmates still trying to figure it out, or probably give them some tips. But here I am on monday morning as I resumed to the library as early as possible to continue the assignment. Over the weekend I was just looking at the TV's black screen, no time to turn it on. I was practically in the study all through. I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the study. But the good thing is that it will all pay off at the end. If one does a good job, you'll definitely get the good mark, no wayo. God will help us oh. I thought it was only me. The online learning too no be small. I'd log into my account and see there is a quiz my professor sent to us, even saturday night I dey do online quiz at home before the thing due. Diaris God.

Amefrica: ...Phew... What a long journey!

Our plane took off from Lagos around 1:30pm, so we reached Ethiopia at night, it was 5hrs flight tho - Ethiopia is 2hrs ahead of Nigeria. From Ethiopia we headed to Rome (technical stop) no one was allowed to come down shaa. It seemed they were refueling..

From Rome we began the real journey to Canada (Toronto). We spent about 5-6hrs crossing the Atlantic Ocean, my heart just dey jump, e don comot from my chest run go stomach..

The worst part was when the Captain made an announcement that it was too cloudy and stuff but said everything was under control, I wan nearly poo for body.

I didn't enjoy my 2nd flight to Toronto at all, I was seated in the middle of 2 arugbos. A man and woman! We just bone talk till we reach here.

***Port of Entry*** When we got in, I and Parisbluefox were sorting our luggages and after every we proceeded. The immi officer sef fear me, he asked why I haven't paid my fees , I told him I'll be paying in person at the school's accounting office 2mrw. He asked if I had the cash, I said no but I have my MasterCard. He said OK!

He started typing and staring at my letter of acceptance as well as my passport, me just bone face nii and for inside I don dey worry say wetin dey happen oga. He asked my names, DOB and asked me to give him my proof of funds, I sharply comot my sponsor's SOAs (business and personal).

He asked whose account was it and I said my uncle. Na so e talk say make I excuse am for a min, e go inside (for my mind - I don melt finish), na so e just come out with a long paper and as I see maple leaves on top, my mind come down. Hin just tear am, staple am with my passport and stamped it. He gave it to me and said "make your parents proud" I winked and said "most definitely".

I missed my flight to Charlottetown, and I was booked for another. I'm still chilling here in Toronto Pearson for the next 2hrs.

Canadians friendly die! Chai.. While I was pulling my luggages, a woman asked me to stop and wait for a min, b4 I could say jack, she brought a cart.

Abeg, Canada na 'must' visit place for everyone on earth. Make una do quick! cheesy #in other news, I'm still waiting for the low-life psychopath threatening me I nor dey enter here.. grin grin

Ethiopian Airlines is just superb ...I was counting how many times they were bringing food, but lost count at some point.
Congrats man, you arrived just in time. Quickly enjoy small summer before e finish patapata for 2014. Cheers

Hello Tariy, I think a Post Graduate Course would be more appropriate. You can google to find schools in Canada with courses you are interested in. Then we'll take it further from there.

Thank you so much missbon for that valuable info. Happy new month wonderful people, Canada is gonna receive lotta people from this thread this month. And many more in subsequent months. Do have a pleasant flight. To those expectant for medicals and TRV by virtue of the fact that this is my month, I release it unto you this August. Cheers people.
Also for those of you who wud want to stay in Canny and settle, pls once u get here u can buy your drivers' licence hand book, read it, do practice tests online and go for your G1 exam probably in d first or second week. That way ur driving experience in canny begins to count until when u are ready to av ur own ride. That way your insurance cost will be much lesser then. A friend of mine got here four years ago. Now he's thru with MBA, working and wants to drive but realises the insurance is too high as a result of no driving experience in Canny since he arrived. So he had to start the process from d beginning which would take at least another 8 months before one can drive on the major highways. Depending on your province, you can start your drivers' licence process as soon as possible. It helps on d long run. Once u av d drivers' licence u can carry that around instead of taking ur international passport everywhere u need such identification.

LyfeJennings: Hi eryone. Was denied again for some flimsy reasons. I'm officially off Canada now. Good luck to everyone issued TRV. God bless. I'm out
I am so sorry about this refusal man. However I believve it is only a delay not a denial. I felt terrible when I didn't get my visa too but this wonderful people here encouraged me on and today I am in Canada. I can say it is worth it all. Other people here too like Gavinmensah, Amefrica who have been denied a number of times before, let their success story today encourage you man. Let's find out what the reason is and people suggest ways to tackle it. I believe you'll rejoice at last. It's only a delay not a denial. God aint sleeping dude, He never will, not on our case.

seconwaobyno: pls my questions goes to the gurus and ogas already in canny.
dont really know where to start from cos my case is now complicated but ur gud advice will help.
1, I am a prospective applicant through an agent
2, my program will cost like school fees $14, 000, egent $13, 000 for the admission and trv other sundery expenses not in cluded yet.
3, note: I didn't know this trend before I committed to the agent I came to knw about it after I have committed 6, 000 usd as advance.
4, admmision gotten from niagara college medical, biometric done but trv was denied cos of moving the embassy from lagos to Ghana effected his internal contact contact.
5, admmision now differed till September still pushing if he can breakthrough to trv.

this is where I need ur advise most.
1, Does canada worth this amount?
2, my brother advised me to join him in his business and develop the capital instead of going to another mans land to face unknown.
3, he is an impoter deals in trailer spare parts.
5, he said I should call the egent to withdraw the processing but the egent said he can only refund 50% of the total sum as he has spent a lot but that's not the issue.
The issue is this does canada worth this amount? or should I join him to develop the capital here as the business is moving well for him and he is always out of the country for importation.
sorry for the long epistle. currently am working as a contract staff at a bank but already submitted resignation latter by next month.
thanks in anticipation as am waiting for ur gud guide.
Chai! this is wickedness I think. well I guess the $13,000 is a small amount to you. Maybe the agent charged you based on the fact that he knows the amount is not expensive for your kind of person. I believe you should withdraw anyway. you'll get several free advice on this thread that'll guide you all through with just less than 500k for your ticket and all. Even possibly accommodation here in Canada too for some time. You decide if you want to come to Canada, but for the agent please withdraw and if u can still extract even part of the remaining 50% he said he had spent. He is a ripping you off BIG TIME I think.

lovelydamsel: Re you saying all the sockets in canada have that similar look?just asking a question.Good morning, sockets in nigeria varies.that's why I asked.
I am not sure about all the sockets in Canada, but every e device in my apartment has this kinda plug that fits into this kinda socket_ iron, tv, fridge, decoder, heat sink, heater, radio, pC, virtually everything. So I am suspecting that most device sold in d market here comes with this kinda plug. There is no other kind of socket in the whole house where I stay.
