Yea, your CV is important... lets look at it from another angle... If you are an employer and u advertise a job for a trainee.. An applicant stated in his cv that he has a Phd. wont u term him as being over qualified ??
If you eventually grant the applicant a job, he will never feel fulfilled becos he is under-employed and would in the future be rebellious when he sees that he is being lead by people who are not academically his status.....
All these the HR will factor in their consideration

I will advise u to go with all your certificates. The truth is whatever certificate u hv but do not indicate u do at the time of the interview, will not count anymore after u are employed. In other words, if u have an MSC but do not indicate u do for whatever reasons u may hv, after u hv been employed and for instance it is time for appraisal, that MSC will not be recognised unless u take formal permission to go run another MSC program. So tell them all abt ur advancement and God will help us. I am currently running my doctorate, if I do not indicate it now, it will never be useful to me in the future in NNPC cos they will say they never knew of it. Good luck guys

I disagree with you on the bolded.... Its a simple logic... The advert was on operator and graduate TRAINEE... not experience hire.. I believe criteria was clearly stated...

The pay package for OND holders is not bad at all.

For OND holders you will placed at a grade level known as SS7 (Senior Staff level '7'). Now, since you applied with and submitted OND you can only be placed at that level to start with. You cannot tender the certificates, you must have acquired after, for upgrade purposes. You can only notify them during your documentation stage, after you scale through the interview stage by God's grace of course, that you have acquired an additional qualification. Maybe they might allow you to include it in your file but will not upgrade you. What you applied with is what you will be considered and placed with. Be calm! Prepare your mind for the interview and land the job. NNPC is like PDP's umbrella...it accommodates many plus you get a job and have your life if you know what I mean, of course.

1. Can you PLEASE give a rough estimate of the pay for SS7, I read in a forum that the SS7 salary scale is 889k per annum, can you confirm this ?

2. What Level will an OND holder with 6 years working experience be placed, is it SS7 or SS6 ??

Disclaimer: All figures stated below may not be the actual figure stipulated on SS scale, but it serves as guide on what to expect if u are eventually successful

Housing + sercurity allowance is over 2million Naira payable upfront every January.. You get 13th Month as 1 month consolidated salary. Your leave allowance is 13% of your annual salary. You also have the Gift Voucher ( NNPC pays in cash about 50K ).. You may get a monthly meal allowance of over 50k depening on your location...But this are the basics, except you working the feild location where you get 13% of Monthly Salary as Shift allowance and a daily field allowance of 3k per day(may have been increased) and hazard allowance of 20K monthly (may have also been increased).Hope this will help you.All the best

Nigeria can overcome this power issue if you and I will start doing the right things.

- Cut any fraudulent act with corrupt staff.
- Get them reported at the main office with crucifying evidence.
- Purchase a meter and get it registered under your name.
- Always ask for your monthly bill when not given.
- Never pay any marketer or any staff (especially linesmen)
- Report any irregularities to the main regional or headquarters office.
- I will advise you have a lawyer. Always be on the alert to ascertain any sort of cheat-game.
- Shun every form of bypassing and cheating.

with these points and some others, 'cabal' will be dealt with and subdued to a reasonable and bearing level.
