GoTV:
It's shameful that these unscrupulous elements are role models to many Christian women. When that Kano actress was expelled from Kannywood, we Christians shouted at the top of our voice forgetting that Islam frowns at indecency unlike our religion of hypocrisy that allows women wear mini skirts and mono straps to churches to seduce pastors and male members. When Muslim women advocate for hijab and decent dressings, Christian celebrities preach celibacy and get pregnant out of wedlock or flaunt immorality shamelessly by twerking on social media or practicing feminism as against God's commandments. Yet we wonder why muslims are free of controversies. I'm really ashamed of been a Christian sad
You should not be ashamed of being a Christian. Without sin there will be no salvation. Let your light shine for others to follow. Decent dressing alone doesn't guarantee righteousness nor salvation.

so you see you guys are free to remain in Nigeria forever cool
The ibibios are not interested in Biafra. We want restructuring & resource control.

Health / Re: Do Doctors' Hippocratic Oath Count? My Experience With A Doctor by kinguwem: 5:38pm On Sep 01, 2018
The problem is with the healthcare system not the doctors. The National Health Act (NHAct 2014) that was signed into law by the former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is yet to be implemented by the Federal Government and nobody is asking questions. The act has provision for emergency funds for accident & gunshot wounds patients.
Without consideration of issues like this, Nigerians will vote again probably based on ethno-religious sentiments in 2019 & come back & complain on nairaland forum.
I'm disappointed that a military man who is supposed to be more enlightened that an average Nigerian is directing is grievance to the wrong persons.

I'm akwa ibomite and we're all tired of pdp dictatorship and tyranny in the state.
come 2019 Udom is going home.
apc ti take over.
So who in APC will take over from Udom? Akpabio is the King of the Annangs. His brand of politics is obsolete. Neither Udoedeghe nor Umana will be the Governor of Akwa Ibom. Akwa Ibomites need jobs, security & progress. Enough of political thuggery & wastage of resources.

No matter the slander on the personality of Akpabio, because he moved to the ruling party, the fact remains that Akwa ibom is what it is today because of the uncommon leadership quality exhibited by GOODSWILL AKPABIO. in fact to some persons Akwa ibom and Akpabio are not differentiated ..
What fraction of the total revenue was used for the transformation. The citizens need industries & jobs not a luxury hotel in a glorified village.

So apparently you are saying that what was on ground during the commissioning was non existent?

Lets be clear, whatever would be publicized by Udom would also end up landing him(Udom) in trouble because when he was asked questions relating to the subject matter, he LIED.

He has to be careful or else he would rubbish his integrity as he was a part of that administration even before he became Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
What office did he occupy in Akpabio's administration? Was he involved in the construction of the hotel? Get your facts right before making comments.

Politics / Re: "The Truth About Igbo Presidency: Senator Saraki Playing On Our Intelligence" by kinguwem: 5:54pm On Aug 25, 2018
The problem of the Igbo's is not producing a President but good governance. The Igbo's need restructuring & creation of a Biafran Republic.
The late Major General Aguji Ironsi was a Supreme Leader; what benefit did the Igbo's get. The late Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was Governor-General/President; where is his legacy in Igboland. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, immediate Past President's main supporters where from the South South & South East; what did he do for them.
Good governance is not giving persons from a particular Zone/State political appointments but enabling all citizens to benefit from dividends of democracy. We should look for leaders who can deliver instead of trying to line up behind a failed leader.
The Igbo's mustn't support APC to get a shot at the Presidency. Their aspiration can still be achieved in other political parties. However, the ones glamouring for Igbo presidency are doing so for selfish interest. The igbos have already stated what they want: good governance, restructuring & a referendum for the creation of Biafra.

Health / Re: Traditional Bonesetter Complicates A Child's Case, Loses Limb (Graphic Photo) by kinguwem: 7:42pm On Aug 24, 2018
Traditional bone setters compliment the job of orthopaedic surgeons. However, they are not vast in human anatomy. Most times they use very tight splints on the limbs to realign fractured bones thereby cutting off bone supply to the affected limb resulting in death of the limb (gangrene).
In conclusion, they exist because of lack of medical specialists. In advanced countries, there is no role for traditional bone setters.

My condolences to him on the death of his mother. Though we were not informed of the type of cancer she had. A 72 year old can have a good quality of life in an environment with quality healthcare.
Finally, the Governor must upgrade the healthcare facilities in his state. Not a good news that our elites are dying outside the country & their corpses conveyed back with state resources.
Family / Re: Ceasarean Section Or Induced Labour Delivery, Which Is Better? by kinguwem: 2:04pm On Aug 15, 2018
A vaginal delivery is safer than a caesarean section if the pregnancy is normal, carried to term and the mother has no medical issues , pelvis is adequate & baby fine. A caesarean section is safe if the surgeon & the aneasthetist is skilled but there most be a definitive indication for the operation to be performed because of complications associated with the surgery esp. excessive bleeding after delivery of the baby. Other complications include injuries to the bladder, ureters, intestines, post operative infections & wound dehiscence etc.
There are certain indications for caesarean section: bleeding during pregnancy & labour, cephalopelvic disproportion, fetal distress in labour, abnormal lie of the baby etc.

Religion / Re: Christians, Churches And Tithes Are Not Nigeria's Underdevelopment Problems by kinguwem: 11:59am On Jul 15, 2018
AkpaMgbor:

The Anglican church started from the Anglo speaking people in England centuries ago..England till today is still majorly Christians and YET it never slowed down their development...America has the biggest protestant churches in the world and YET it never slows them down..Rome is exclusively a Christian state and YET it hasn't impeded the development of the entire country as a whole...but in our case we tend to ALWAYS shift blames and responsibilities...your government cannot build and maintain hostels and laboratories for you even with the constant sale of oil in billions of dollars..but somehow you lots have shifted the responsibility to the churches...did you see any church on the ballot boxes during the last election??
We're always waiting for miracles. We're tied down by religion & superstition. We don't believe in investment. The Church has turn to alternative business for some fraudsters. CAN should be empowered to close down mushroom churches & spiritual houses.
On the other hand, religion is also the route of global terrorism. Extreme fanatical religious ideology is what is propagating violence.
Religion / Re: Christians, Churches And Tithes Are Not Nigeria's Underdevelopment Problems by kinguwem: 9:25am On Jul 15, 2018
The problem of this country is that religious affiliation supercedes patriotism.
We pay allegiance to religious leaders and care less about national planning and development.

Am actually disappointed FFK was one of the rulers running Nigeria.

Clearly, if we look at the bigger pictures, ranching will ameliorate the clashes between nomadic farmers and crop farmers. It will also contribute meaningfully to the Nigeria's economic development and growth. Let shun sentiment and give a try. Government has done it feasibility and cash flow projection.
I thought animal husbandry is driven by science. But we're trying to promote cattle rearing as a traditional occupation of a group of people. I support ranching but it should be economically & technology driven.

This Fayose is at it again, he takes everything as joke, i don't know why he uses every opportunity to hit on the government. he is acting as if he has the interest of this country at heart. its glaring that he is just happy that this has happened, at least he has seen something to attack with, he is so heartless, using a very terrible situation to pursue a career. I don't know why he is judging, he should focus on his state and let the FG do their job. He was not the one who advice the FG when they introduced operations across the country that comes out successful, he should stop making people have a negative impression about the Government
Which successful operation was carried out by the FG?:Isn't it obvious that the FG is treating the issue with kid gloves.

Health / Re: My Challenges With Rhesus Factor In Pregnancy And How I Overcame It by kinguwem: 5:54pm On Jun 01, 2018
Rhesus Isoimmunization is a common cause of intrauterine foetal death & neonatal jaundice. The indirect coomb's test can determine whether a pregnant women was sensitize from a previous pregnancy. The anti-D immunoglobins will not be very useful for a mother that is already sensitized by the foetal antigens. The other reason a women can be sensitized is through the transfusion of a rhesus negative woman with a rhesus positive blood. In cases of emergencies where a rhesus negative blood is not available for a rhesus negative patient, a rhesus positive blood of the same blood group or O rhesus positive blood can be transfused to save the patient's life. Before the transfusion the patient or her guardian must be counseled of the consequences & an informed consent obtained.

We should let her be. A successful lady without a husband or child in Africa is seen as a prostitute. However, conceiving before wedlock is an acceptable practice as long as the father of the baby has accepted responsibility. Age is not on her side & she is playing her game well.
I wish her the best.
Career / Re: My Boss' Relationship With A Co-Worker Is Affecting Our Productivity by kinguwem: 2:54pm On May 26, 2018
Do you run a blood transfusion service in your lab. or you just store donated blood pending when the recipient will be transfused. If that is the case you lost the patient because he did not have donors. You don't release blood donated to a specific recipient to another if you're not sure of getting another donor to replace the blood.
