Well, the first lady is doing what a good wife should do for her husband. PBAT is not doing well & Nigerians are not just suffering but dying. He should change his style of leadership. His government is extravagant, slow in implementation of people oriented policies & lacks direction.

The government is not a serious one. They're there to take care of themselves & punish the people. If things are that difficult, they should declare austerity measures & reduce cost of governance. They cannot be living big & want Nigerians to starve to death just for them to survive.

Unless they change their modus operandi, they may not end well.

You've a point. Until there's internal democracy & members fund parties collectively, our democracy will not develop. Why do they insist the governors should be leaders of the party at the State level? To inject state funds for party activities. Is that how's done in saner climes? In critical situations Private Hospitals will pay proper attention to their patient than Teaching hospitals be it Federal or State. For instance, If you are on emergency situation the patient's relative will have to buy card or pay for file before being attended to by a doctor. Despite the pain and loss of fluids nobody will give out common first aid until the card has been bought then wait till the Doctor arrives from his own Private Hospital. It's all troublesome to know that if you get hit by a vehicle in the current state of Nigeria, you might leave this big blue marble.

You've a point. Also the condition of the patient at the time of admission is also important. Some cerebrovascular accidents are associated with poor prognosis due to extensive brain infarcts. Despite spending a lot of money, recovery may be slow & poor. Some conditions are best prevented than managed.
However, despite the initial evaluation, even if patient is moribund, he desires the best care & attention from healthcare providers.

Peter Obi is right. The cost of governance is quite exorbitant for a LMIC country like ours. And unsurprisingly, our leaders are not bothered. I left secondary school at age 15, almost 3 decades ago. Qualified through JAMB at age 16, and it has been a great ride of life afterwards.

Presently, the average age to sit for WAEC/NECO for 6 sets of students in Secondary School is 16 years. What provision is in place for the proposed 2-year minimum lag? Should they just stop at their present class of study and continue when they fit the 18 years model?

Or, will the FG provide and encourage vocational centers for all to bridge the Post Secondary School/ Pre-University stage? If this is in place, it will make load of sense. Otherwise, it will be unfair to plunge our future leaders to an unfair loss of competitive advantage among their global peers

I'm yet to be convinced on the relevance of this new policy. The policy is retrogressive, baseless & anti-progress. The calibre of persons heading our Education Ministry should be reviewed. A modern Professor advocating for such a policy is absurd & simply reflects that our educational system is obsolete & outdated.

People buy certificates because the Nigerian labour market esp. in government establishments, paper certificates is the major criteria for employment. Recently, job interviews are rarely done. If you know somebody or can pay for appointments, you'll be employed. Same applies in politics. Certificate fraud is now a norm.

We're running a Unitary system of government. Minimum wage is in the exclusive legislative list. Political office holders get paid across board in all the States. Why should payment of workers be different? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Multichoice is the leading pay TV company in Nigeria because we don't have a statellite TV outfit. Shameful that Nigeria is still backward technologically in the 21st century. A lot of businesses depend on multichoice subscriptions and the business environment is harsh because of the prevailing economic situation. Infrastructure is poor and no strong competitors to offer consumers alternative satellite TV broadcasts.
The way forward is for Multichoice to appeal the judgement and also be considerate with customers in terms of frequent increment of subscription fees.

My secondary school alumni association donates money for sick members and for members hosting events. Those hosting events are not mandated to give the association anything. Accept the alumni's donation and serve the alumni whatever you can afford. Two or three years ago, they talked about asking members in diaspora to help members in Nigeria to japa. But that topic didn't get a serious attention.

My university alumni association funds dinner night for graduating students every year and occasionally call members for get-together events without mandatory contributions from members. The rich ones silently donate the money.

It's a good one. Most of those Associations don't force people to contribute but could be useful in resuscitating old colleagues.
