PoliticsRe: German Chancellor Scholz On A Boat Ride From Island To UNILAG In Lagos by kinguwem: 2:40pm On Nov 03, 2023
German Chancellor, *Olaf Scholz* on LagFerry boat ride from Lagos Island to Unilag few days ago.

He didn't need a Presidential Yacht. All occupants of the boat wore life jackets.

Our leaders need luxury boats & subject the masses to travel in the inland water ways in delapidated boats with no life jackets, why?
PoliticsRe: Police Repel Attacks On Rivers Speaker, Martins Amaewhule; Scores Injured by kinguwem: 5:24am On Nov 02, 2023
The ijaws are a minority in Rivers State & shouldn't instigate ethnic crises. Political problems have political solutions. This is one of the effects of installing a greenhorn as a Governor. Leadership of a State is serious business; needs maturity & wisdom not thuggery & mobilization of militants.
PoliticsRe: Supreme Court’s Judgement Is The Lord’s Doing – Oluremi Tinubu by kinguwem: 5:11am On Nov 02, 2023
Our politicians & their spouses & families are disappointing. Bringing in God in a flawed electoral process is the highest level of deceit & desperation.
Definitely, the South East is the industrial hub of the nation but not Imo State. What industrial activity is ongoing presently in that State. Is it because it's an APC State. Technological development has nothing to do with political sentiments. A lot of industrial activities are ongoing in Nnewi & Onitsha. Innosson Vehicles plant is in Nnewi.
For the country to develop, we need patriotic & serious minded politicians.
CelebritiesRe: Mohbad: Naira Marley Issues Statement by kinguwem: 10:18pm On Sep 26, 2023
N3TRAL:
Mohbad was hypertensive- a health information he never hid. There's a reason hypertension is nicknamed "the silent killer". Despite being hypertensive, he was a hard drug user, two dangerous combinations.

In his mother's recent interview, she suggested that Mohbad was scared and not breathing fine during the recent periods she spent with him.

The body regulating Nurses in Nigeria has clarified that the nurse who allegedly "treated" him was not registered. Put differently, the person on whose medical care he spent his last hours on earth was not qualified to practice as a nurse.

The hospital that certified him dead confirmed that a nurse was treating him at home and it was when his situation deteriorated that he was rushed to the hospital. He was dead on arrival (DOA).

To the social media warriors, the possible causes of his death are:

1. Naira Marley's bullying and juju 😂

2. His wife's presumed infidelity with a certain Sam.

3. His beloved father who hated him.

From the very first moment the few of us at the other end of the spectrum received the details of his untimely demise, we established the outstanding remote cause to be drug abuse and the major immediate cause to be poor health care delivery by a quack who "treated" him without his medical history.

The mob cannot silent us. We anticipate the result of the autopsy.
This write up is presumption & not evidence based. Hypertension does not kill in a day, the terminal treatment he received did not include anti-hypertensives.
He was beaten up by some people & had wounds on his body. Complications of head injury & infections top the list of possible causes of death.
Since an inquiry has been set up, we should be guided with our statements & correspondences.

N3TRAL:
Mohbad is dead and he went to the grave on his family's approval but was brought back for autopsy due to public interest.

It is okay to mourn the early demise of the short-lived popstar but I stand with Naira Marley in all of this.

I stand with Naira Marley as a capitalist believer. Zinolesky, Mohbad, Kizz Daniel, Ayra Starr, Rema, Asake, Fireboy, Khaid are not musical stars just because they are talented. In fact, being a popular musical star has nothing to do with knowing how to sing or one's dexterity with musical instruments.

They're musical stars because someone took a loan from the bank or lenders and invested tens of millions of Naira or even dollars to put them in your faces until you accept them as stars by force. Everyone blames the record label bosses because they're not the main actors who perform on stage.

An idea is worth nothing without the resources to amplify it. In tech, angel investors and venture capitalists take the lion's share leaving founders with the bulk of the burden. In sports, agents like Mendes take their big cut. If it was easy, Mbappe would just wake up and leave PSG for Madrid. Why is it always different in the music business?

Defend the deceased as much as you like but the fact remains that nobody on the face of the earth forced him to sign the deal with Marlian records. When you sign an agreement, fortunately, one that brings fame and money to you, the least you can do is honour it.

If Loan Apps in Nigeria, like Palmpay, that have foreign investors and major corporate personnel have resorted to blackmailing the families of loan defaulters and even crashing events to disgrace and arrest their debtors what do you think street boys who hustled all their lives will do if a fellow ghetto nobody they lifted out of poverty plays ping pong with their millions worth of investment?

I unequivocally condemn the mode of debt recovery above as I only used that real-life scenario to point out the fact that Mohbad was Naira Marley's debtor until he died. The Courtroom or Arbitration house remains the best destination for dispute settlement.

However it must be stated that Mohbad's tragedy and Naira Marley's cancellation is like a loan app debtor committing suicide because the loan sharks blackmailed him to his family, friends, and colleagues. Naira Marley is simply that loan shark whose chronic debtor is involved in a fatal accident while trying to avoid the loan shark's constant harassment. Nobody blames the dead debtor but everyone blames the loan shark who had once given the debtor money and hope even though the debtor failed to keep his own part of the bargain.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family in their period of grief. I genuinely mourn Mohbad but refuse to join the herd to link his death to Naira Marley.
All deals have opt out clauses. I'm not aware that bullying is part of settling deal defaults but the courts.
At the end of the day, a live is lost. The primary course of death is a medical problem that may arise from risk factors associated with bullying & depression.
Everything in life is not all about money & public perception.

You cannot mention any tangible project or achievement after Jonathan.

Ibori and Alameiseya were the front runners of resource control and eventually 13% derivation which was actualize by the Yar'Adua government, don't dare mention Jonathan.
Yea, Ibori, Alameiseya, Victor Attah were prominent in the fight for resource control.
Ibori lost out when he refused to support Goodluck Jonathan (GEJ) as the acting President. The rest is history. With latest criminal case against him in the UK, he's off the political limelight.
GEJ is not just a national but international figure. The establishment of 11 new universities including one in his hometown; an Eastern Naval Command in Bayelsa, IPPIS, TSA etc. are landmark achievements.

PoliticsRe: Igbo Demands Cabinet Slot In Niger State, Cites Revenue Generation by kinguwem: 4:06pm On Aug 04, 2023
Whalis:
It is a good developers but I hope it won't end up the way the one in my community ended up.
We had an Igbo person staying with us before the war. My community had a custom where a stranger no matter his age is given a share just after the title holders. This is to recognise his community in our midst and not necessarily the individual. The Igbo man stayed in my community for so long that by age he became the second eldest person.
When my community wanted to share farmland he was given where they used to give to him even when we had so many people his seniors, this time around the Igbo rejected. He said he must be recognised as the second eldest man in the community and by that should be given such share as it was deserving of the second man. Before my community could say Jack Robinson the man had gone to court that by the constitution of Nigeria that he had stayed in my community for more than 10 years that was enough to make him a bonafide citizen of the community.
To cut the episode short the ruling was in his favour. It was rightly so. Although the magistrate and everyone that presided over the case were Igbos. This was happening in the present Rivers State.
My community learnt their lesson via that case.
The problem is not the man but the Constitution. He's recognized as an indigene as far as the Constitution is concerned.

Please doctors in the house, for some weeks now my 4yr old son has this recurring boils on his back and armpit, when I burst them, it brings out a pus like substance and form a sore. I went to the hospital, the doctor said it was a bacteria infection and I was giving some antibiotics, yet so far no tangible results. Please I need your assistance
Looks like impetigo that bursts & spread. But the pic. shows a small boil on the left & the larger lesion on the right is a tinea infection because of the crusting.

The solution is antibiotics & an antifungal cream. Good hygiene, tract & treat contacts.

Some people will disgrace themselves in this Tinubu's government and I think this young Governor is one of them.
The palliatives is from the fuel subsidy and all natural crude is gotten from the south who do you think should have the lion share?
The money $800million to be borrowed by nigeria government is to be paid mainly from your crude proceed where do you have crude?south or north?
Even if is VAT who brings in the highest tact return?north or south?
Tinubu is doing the right thing. The more you bring to the national treasury the higher your return.
Sad that the governor don't know what good governance is all about.
The solution to his peoples' problem is education, improved productivity, birth control, deescalation of religious fanatism etc.

CrimeRe: Nwanyioma Hotel Owner Tortures Nnenna Onu Obini To Death over 17,500 by kinguwem: 11:11am On Jun 25, 2023
Why do people take laws into their hands. The death of the young lady was untimely, premeditated & preventable. Is it a crime to be poor or to hustle in this country. How much is N17,500 compared to a human life. The owner of the hotel was barbaric & wicked. Even after the lady paid for what probably may not be her fault, they still went ahead to cause her untimely death.
It's a simple & straight forward case. Why is the Police reluctant to do the needful; investigate & prosecute the culprits for murder? Why has the hotel not been sealed for proper investigation? Is the Police compromised? The relatives should refuse any monetary compensation not decided by the court, their lives is not safe if they decide to compromise. What happened to their daughter may recur. The culprits must be tried to serve as a deterrent to others.

Was Yari qualified to contest the election according to the Senate standing rules? He's a first time senator & is not vast in Senate proceedings. What's his pedigree compared to Akpabio? Even in his State, APC couldn't deliver at both the Presidential & Governorship election pools. What did he do to curb banditary; how much does his State contribute to the federation account?
Politics of sectional sentiments should be shun. Akpabio's victory is a sign that Nigeria's politics has evolved & there's less emphasis on regional & religious sentiments.

Still boils to down to poor governance. Who takes the fuel to neighbouring countries? Isn't it a failure of government officials esp. security agents & the Customs?

It wouldn't have mattered if they stayed in PDP, their people were determined to vote LP and they blindly voted regardless of who was on the ballot, the candidate's profile, skills and capacities don't matter to them. That's not on Wike. They are now even trying to vote one Chinedu in Lagos against an agile and outstanding performing governor Sanwo-Olu, who has proven beyond reasonable doubt to be best available option for Lagos right now.
Yes, the problem was not Wike but the popularity of Obi in the South East. People are tired of the old order. Unlike Wike, the governors were not performing & had lost touch with their people.

If the child was the third or in the middle, I would have tried to reason with her ( not believe her) 6 so far that child is the first, it's not her husband's and she got it from having her "farewell flings" with her bedmates before settling for marriage. Or who now put it there? No be man?

What first came to mind when reading the story was the case of some pregnancy that will hide for months before showing and the mother will not know and still be menstruating till after some months or even till birth. I guess she got pregnant for another while prepping for marriage and entered into marriage still menstruating therefore felt the coast was clear, not knowing it has already entered.

Loose dogs everywhere. How you sleep with different men to the extent you don't even know when you're free and when you've taken in. Chai! Uwa mmebi.

I pray the man finds out and disgraces her. It's getting too much. Many are still sleeping around recklessly.

Both men and women, una own don too much.

For those saying the baby was swapped, I disagree because one, the woman never brought that up as a possiblity, meaning she's 100% sure the baby is hers besides swapping is not that easy if you seen a real live documentary of where women give birth abroad. One patient is attended to at a time. The cleaning of the baby is done right there and baby handed to the mother. You people think its like the maternity ward in Nigeria where baby's are packed together in the same place? Na wa o. This Naija mentality though.
Menstruation is the cyclical shedding of the lining of the uterine cavity. Meaning there's nothing like Menstruation during pregnancy but vaginal bleeding in pregnancy which could be a threatened abortion or antepartum haemorrhage which have various causes: placental, local or incidental.

Hope you know Wike has never worked under any paid employment before his foray into politics. Neither has he engage in any business venture either. Wike should be grateful to the PDP.

Do you know that same Wike was controlling Cross Rivers state PDP. Ditto Edo state before Obasaki got victory in Court. No governor should be as powerful as Wike had wanted to be in PDP.
Ayu and Atiku are fair weather politicians. No political ideologies nor principles but just interested in a platform to contest elections.
To me there is no political party ready for leadership, Just a bunch of moneybags struggling to get control of our resources.

We need to rivive our political system & eliminate money politics. There should be a level playing ground for all qualified aspirants to contest elections at all levels.

HealthRe: Doctors Recruited From Nigeria To Work In UK Hospitals Lament Exploitation by kinguwem: 4:15pm On Oct 11, 2022
The Coivid-19 pandemic exacerbated physician shortages & burnout worldwide.

In Nigeria, we've adopted task sharing & shifting to less-specialized cadres as a way of maintaining healthcare services. Since services are maintained, the government & healthcare administrators have gone to sleep pretending that all is well. Even though globally, there has been a great deal of debate about the expediency, efficacy and modalities of task shifting, here it's not a problem. Despite the shortage of doctors, employing them is a problem. Those in service are not really better off: poor remuneration, burnout, sudden death etc. The rest do slave jobs in practice hospitals & the last resort is usually to go abroad for greener pastures.

Those abroad esp. in the UK, USA despite the better remuneration are still complaining of burnout. But there, pay is based on hours on duty & there is pay for overtime unlike what happens here.

Recently, most medical schools in the country have not graduated doctors because of the prolonged ASUU strike. We should think ahead & start planning how to handle the situation. I foresee the situation getting worse.
PoliticsRe: Kano Man Builds A Tricycle From Scratch, Atiku Reacts (Pictures) by kinguwem: 6:11pm On Oct 09, 2022
musicwriter:
Good day brother

I am going to tell you the truth and nothing but the truth even though you may not like it.

Unfortunately, what you suggested is the very thing that have us in this situation that we find ourselves today.

China can afford to do what you suggested because they evolved as a homogenous society with one language. And they've been that way for thousands of years. So, definitely a one-party state would work for them because it's second to nature for them.

Why would they want anything buy a one-party state? Certainly, a one-party state would be the next natural thing for them since the society already evolved being homogeneous.

But in the case of Africa, our societies evolved heterogeneously with small nations (ethnic groups) speaking different languages.

Our ancestors didn't create a homogeneous society like China, instead, again, our ancestors created heterogeneous small countries (now called ethnic groups) which worked for us before the unfortunate arrival of Europeans.

It means that heterogeneity is our natural inclination as Africans. We as Africans work best when we work in small groups that contribute power to a central point. WHICH IS INDEED WHAT CHINA DOES FROM DIFFERENT DISTRICTS EVEN AS A HOMOGENEOUS SOCIETY.

When people work in smaller units and contribute to a central point, they work more efficiently. The US is a good example. That's the best way things should work!

If we practice TRUE federalism in Nigeria, we would get the same result. We would become more productive and would even live in peace.

Things work best when there's what Adam Smith described as "division of labour."

For Nigeria to become great, the different components (geographical regions not ethnic groups per se) that make up Nigeria must first recognize themselves as a district people doing their own thing their own way. We must first acknowledge the reality that we're not one and then agree that we want to be one. And finally agree in a brand new constitution how we want to co-exist as a true federal state.

Every region should go ahead and make their own laws, worship their own Gods, speak their own language, run their electric generation, run their system of education, etc. Then contribute to the central as one. That's when the Nigerian society would be next to natural and it would work.

And that's the most natural thing that would work for us as Africans, in line with the philosophy of our ancestors on how a group should exist. When that happens, competition would lead to giant strides in every region and we'll be better off.

We are not Chinese people and should not labor ourselves trying to create a homogeneous Chinese society in Africa. It won't work because that's not the type of people we are naturally!!

We are African people and our natural inclination is to work in small ethnic groups. All we have to do is exploit it by pulling power to a central point.

This concept isn't just known to work the best in economics but it's also know to work in computing.

Dr. Philip Emeaghali, the inventor of the supercomputer stumbled on the idea when he realized that thousands of little chickens pulling a cart would generate more power and would work more efficiently than one elephant pulling the same cart. The chickens would do a better job because they'll work more efficiently with tiny energy expended than the mighty elephant using all his energy at once.

Until we understand this, exploit and implement it, we'll remain naturally heterogeneous societies forcing themselves to be un-naturally homogeneous.

Emeaghali demonstrated the idea in the picture below.
You're absolutely correct. We can learn from India. Though still a developing country but is making more meaningful progress.

Our political class & ruling elites are selfish, deceitful & not patriotic. The majority are not productive & depend solely on the sharing formula from an oil monoeconomy.

We need visionary & patriotic leaders & not ethnic bigots & leaders who are only interested in benefitting from the politico-economic fortunes of the nation.
