Rolings: YOU LIE Jews hate Christianity. A lawmaker earlier this year even propesed a law banning Christian preaching
The Palestinian situation isn't religious but territorial. A fight for land The only reason Israel is refusing to give up Palestinian territories which is took over after the 6 day war is Pride as it considers those territories as spoils of war. The problem is both territorial & religious. Historically, the Israelis first settled there several centuries before the invasion of the area by Arabs. The major problem was the declaration of a State of Israel while the which did not go down well by the Arab States. They attacked Israel, lost the wars & also territories. If land was just the issue, the crisis wouldn't have persisted. The temples in Jerusalem is the bone of contention & the religious attraction. For the Jews, Jerusalem is the city of David & their pride. There cannot be an Israel without Jerusalem. But the Palestinians were offered a 2-State solution but they refused because Jerusalem was to be shared by the 2 States. The crisis is a complex one, the Victor will emerge through show of force & fatigue of the enemy but that may take a long time. For now, peace is elusive in that region. |

We must always remember that there's judgement for our deeds here on Earth. Dear Reader, what will people remember you for? His tenure was an example of one of the setbacks of godfatherism backed by Aso Rock in Nigerian politics. It's a lesson in Nigerian politics. He must have'd a lot of regrets from his poor performance in office. His successor, Dr. Chris Ngige subsequently exposed the godfathers, battled with them & lost the seat to Mr. Peter Obi who tried his best to develop the State. Collapse all these mushroom religious denominations into one strong Nigerian religion just like the Jewish Catholics or the Arab Islam. We are many, smart, yet useless Why must you share shelter with somebody who's mission you don't know & whose character you cannot vow for? As far as I'm concerned, they're more or less refugees & must be treated as such. Due process must be followed to resettle them. |

The limited resources of the State is spent on his treatment & on maintaining another government house in Ibadan. Local governments elections is conducted by the State Independent Electorial Commission. Most times, it's the ruling party of the State that wins without much opposition.
The main problem is the lack of development at the local government level due to pausity of funds. Even though there is financial autonomy for local government councils, their funds is controlled by the State Governor. The Taraba State Governor recently signed a bill that reduced the tenure of local government Chairmen & councillors from 3 to 2 years in office.
If there is development at the local government levels & democracy allowed to thrive at that level, Nigeria will be better off. |

creativehubb: Nigerian political elites should be serious about eliminating public sector funds stealing. Stealing of public revenue by political office holders, Ministers, governors, local government chairmen, is the biggest problem of Nigeria. EFCC and ICPC seem like they are partial, it is glary that these politicians are stealing, the money being generated via revenue and state allocations do not match developments on ground. Kogi state, and all other states should be scrutinized by EFCC and ICPC, focus on political office holders, they are our problems, even worse problems than yahoo boys. You're correct. But the political structure supports the corruption. You don't contribute anything but you get allocations monthly. Where else is that done? Of course, these guys see this funds as a free meal. No accountability nor foolproof means of verification of expenditures. That's where the problem is? The National Assembly, the way it's constituted will never correct the anomaly. |

Botragelad: How can the navy destroy 15,775 litres of crude oil without causing a massive environmental disaster? That's a lot of oil to just dump into the sea or burn off. Surely, they would have to find a way to safely dispose of it or return it to the rightful owners.
How can they estimate the value of the products to be N13,251,000? That's a very precise number for something that depends on the market price and the quality of the oil. How did they measure the quantity and the grade of the oil? Did they have a lab on board or did they just guess?
According to them, the wooden boat was intercepted about 12 nautical miles off the coast when they also say that the base will intensify surveillance within the axis? That's a huge distance to cover with a wooden boat. How did they track and intercept it? Did they have a radar or a satellite or did they just spot it with their eyes?
They claim the base is committed to stamp out the menace of COT and other crimes when they also say that they received intel on illegal bunkering within the axis? That means they already knew that there was a problem and they didn't do anything about it until now. How effective is their surveillance and intelligence?
This statement is a load of rubbish that doesn't add up. It sounds like the navy is trying to cover up their incompetence or corruption by making up a story that doesn't match the facts. Our refineries need crude oil, why not channel it to a designated depot instead of causing environment pollution. Or was the stuff diverted & some burnt with the boat? |

Initially, the problem was granting licences to local investors to build refineries, then no crude oil to run them. Emphasis should be on ensuring our refineries get crude oil than wasting funds traveling around in the name of attracting foreign investors. I believe they're more interested in estacodes they get from the foreign trips. Charity begins at home. |

While I will always love to see political leaders being put on their toes to do the right thing, it is very suspicious to see Sahara Reporters putting a sustained blowtorch to Otti's bumbum just three months after assuming office while the Agbado crooner keeps running our national economy aground.
Let the pressure and scrutiny go round, from top to bottom.
Igbos have no everlasting loyalty to anybody. They can praise you in the morning and crucify you in the evening if you misbehave. If Otti becomes reckless, let him remember that Abians will give him he'll and brimstone like they're currently resisting the bleached head fatso in Imo.

The three former candidates, Atiku, Obi & Kwakeanso, should shelve their personal ambitions, and bring out a neutral credible candidate as the merged parties presidential candidate. But is that possible ? You're correct. The best opportunity Atiku had to contest & win the Presidency was when he was OBJ's VP. 11,000 souls perished, mostly defencelss babies, children and women, at his order and he still thinks anyone is listening to him after he has been told to stop the killings yet he refused. Smh
It's already a month of continous day and night full scale air and land bombarding, draining military stockpiles yet no victory and he is being drawn into a long war with increasing isolation of his people in a global village with most of the major international flights in and out of his natural-resource poor but tourism-rich tiny nation of about 7 million people cancelled, Isreal citizens he ordered to leave Southern Israel yet to return to their houses, schools closed, Hezbollah striking and disrupting lives in Northern Israel etc. There's something he is not telling himself, he is winning a battle not the war. He is acting more like a politician who is thinking of winning the next election, he is not a war strategist.
US is supplying both Ukraine and Israel with arms largely built from supplies from China, Indonesia and Russia, these 3 countries that dominate the supply chains of the materials used in manufacturing arms have placed controls on supply. They will draw him into a long war like Ukraine and drain him like Zelensky until they will now hit back at him.
Unfortunately, it will be from within his own people who will realise the futility in his strategy. Hamas is supposed to be a 5,000 to 15,000 brigade, it's strange that despite repeated Isreal's bombings, air strikes, tanks, hundreds of thousands of Isreal soldiers etc, for a whole month, IDF still cannot pronounce victory yet the Hamas are not ghosts.
When I watched the release of the two elderly women hostages last week, I saw the Hamas fighters, how they were so confident as they courtesied the elderly women with no haste or pressure that I kept wondering if these are people in same Gaza Isreal has been bombing for weeks. So who are the Isreal politicians like Mr Netanyahu deceiving? Certainly,I am not among those he is deceiving. Isreal has more problems with those making laws for it sef.Check my signature for free stuffs! The Hamas leaders are hiding in bunkers & some are in their headquarters in Qatar.
