It is tiring having to explain the same things to people who see Mudlims from a single story prism if I am permitted to borrow that expression from Chimamanda Adichie.

To use incidences as that of the Talibans to portray all Mudlims is the single story Chimamanda spoke about. It is called Prejudice simply. Yoruba Muslims and all moderate ones round the world know their faith and the actions of few extremists round the world cannot affect their belief. History shows no faith is immune from extremism. Your parents actually love you very much and want you to appreciate you are privilege and by so doing, learn to work hard to become successful. Children do have an entitlement mentality this day and it leads to failure. A parent only has to provide you the necessary things , not luxuries anyway.
I know a man who became very appreciative of his parents years after the hard training. Upon graduation in UK the father ordered him out of the house. He had to go get his apartment and the bills made him work hard. In a matter of a short time, he bought his house and continued to prosper. He then realised that his friends whose parents continued to accommodate didn't have a house of theirs years after he had. Then he realised the father only pushed him to grow up and build his life.
Your reaction to your parents is solely yours and it will determine if you learn the lesson expected or not
Just like it will determine your outcome.

A cursing wife is the worst form of woman. Someday, the curse will afflict you unless she stops. It is not your duty to make her control herself but her sole responsibility. Not all children from broken homes are damaged but those the mum poisons the children against all men for the failure of the marriage. Such children see their men from the perception of their mum.
If she doesn't stop cursing you, better let her relive her mother's experience. Curse actually runs in some family. What happens to the mum, happens to the offsprings.

Am not a perfect man..... I have my flaws but I am careful with words because I know what bad words can do to people.

I had an encounter with these guys this afternoon at the entry of Hakeem Dickson to Lekki Phase One. I was driving a private company bus with the company products. I was to pass through Lekki One to link the Lekki Ikoyi Bridge to avoid congestion further out on Lekki Epe Expressway. These guys just sprang out from nowhere and demanded the payment of a levy to allow me drive through Hakeem Dickson because I carried a load. They claimed they are agents of Eti-Osa Local Government. I informed them I have obtained the local government annual permit which includes the loading and off loading permit and that I do not understand why I have to pay to pass through Lekki.
I was harassed by these guys and I had to detour to another route. Has anyone had an encounter with these guys and are they agents or employees of Eti-Osa? They are not in any uniform and look more like touts to me. Just thinking any one who works at the local government would see this post and act appropriately.
