Many of the early commentators are either too lazy to read or bigots. The prof made sense this time. The person who posted the report here is certainly a hypocrite. quote author=Racoon post=91090948] https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailypost.ng/2020/06/26/leave-fulani-alone-stop-endangering-lives-of-yorubas-islamic-group-warns-amotekun/
Thank you. quote author=Yebosola post=91042485] Shut up there, which God of Gej, stealing is not corruption, Nigerians has short memories, find something else to say I beg, if his Govt is perfect, who will look at Buhari side, don't come with that useless talk
You cannot control what people do to you but you can control how you respond to it. It is called self restraint and taking responsibility for our actions. Your parents are not to blame for your actions but yourself. Your post won't stop responsible parents from enforcing discipline. Many who turned out well equally had strict parents. Stop blaming your parents and do your utmost to pass the test of parenthood with your children. Come back on 25 years to tell us how your children have fared. quote author=FeliciaOja post=89939392]It is now I understand what being strict does, it makes you live a life of pretence, cos when I got into University I wanted to explore everything I didn’t have the chance of doing at home. I drank alcohol like crazy, smoked weed, hung out with rich boys, partying, doing drugs but when I go visit my Parents, I still act like that innocent girl they have always known. My Dad’s strictness led to my Pretence, if he had drawn me close like my mum did, I would have been a better kid. When parents use strictness to shut down a kids curiosity instead of guiding them, you are making matters worse for that kid. Because eventually that curiosity will lead them into adventures and exploring all those things you refused them to.. Looking back, al the flogging I received from my dad only made me more stubborn and ruthless. Nothing really changed? Until my mum made me change for good. Parents need to use wisdom not force..
US investigators can't be bought and they have evidence before indictment. Where is the other one grandstanding that he didn't launder money through phoney aircraft purchase? He should go to face prosecution in the US. quote author=RuudVanNisteroy post=89925718] https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/394362-exclusive-obinwanne-okeke-surrenders-to-plead-guilty-to-wire-and-computer-fraud.html
They tell us the bad news without declaring the solutions they have. Hallmark of ineptitude. I would think a finance minister will tell the President and the Governors to make a very deep cut on the jumpo pay and allowances of political office holders. Even lay off the 'food for the boys' PAs. Stop the purchase of cars for every dick and harry in government. Go as far as asking the NA to reform to reduce the multiple federal house of assembly, and the mergers of the MDA. A broke nation cannot afford the wastes being squandered on the political elites. quote author=Luckydubby7 post=89811876] https://www.channelstv.com/2020/05/21/nigeria-is-heading-towards-recession-finance-minister/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
The man that ruined the life of very many southern Nigerians. rottencorpse: |
They don't support state policing and restructuring because they feel threatened that it will free the South from their domination. Yet, how can a man based in Abuja police a remote village in Katsina or Cross Ikom. Government has to be close to the people to have an impact. When they become tired, the Northern masses will push for restructuring of the system. Blue3k: |
Someone should borrow Mr. Akintola sense. Whose fault is it that illiteracy pervades the North? Whose fault is it poverty pervades the North? Is the North not suffering from a self inflicted injury? Prof should stop ridiculing Muslims. This type of fish brain thinking by a Prof is disgusting. No wonder no prof in Nigeria has come up with anything to fight COViD 19. We need to stop awarding professorship to long service to those who merit it by expanding the bounds of knowledge. Our profs are only smart at looting. Debut Ojetinde comes to mind. Beremx: |
I doubt you read my post. AdesegunSanni89: |
I suppose the negativity you pointed out started in 1960. Even if you select a new sets of people into governance today from the Federal to the local government throughout the country, the trend has 90% probability of continuing. It is in the black man's gene to be selfish and deprive others of the right to live. Doubts you will fare better if given a chance to lead. It is 'connection' when it fetches us money, favours, good job etc but it becomes corruption when we are excluded from the goodies. quote author=tot post=88907377]Incredible. Nigerians will now better understand the consequence of bad governance. A government that has failed to plan will definitely have a hard time during times like these. Fix electricity? No. Allocate the right budget to health and education? No. Develop the country? No. Well, this is the result.

Not because they think him capable but because Nigeria has always been the prodigal nation doling out its funds to unappreciative neighbours that take it for a foolish nation. They massage the fragile egos of our leaders to squeeze out free lunch from our broken nation. Let us see what will come of this now that Nigeria's revenue is zero from crude oil. I do not expect PMB to take loans from IMF to play big brother for these parasitic neighbours. Africa is really unlucky if they considered our own ineffectual leader as the best among the leaders. othermen: |
I hope Mr. Governor is following the price of crude oil in the international market. He needs to plan where their bogus and thiefing salaries will come from in the next months. dre11: |

I understand your plight. You can help him by refusing to lend him money. This will make him wake up. Unless he says no to them and stands his ground, it will not stop even if he becomes 80 years old. They will keep coming. VivleBriella: |
We know the section of the country mostly bitter with the current fgn of which the late MAK was a prominent figure. We surely know where those who are rejoicing are from. Continue in the path of sowing discord. Ti elulu ba fa ojo, ori re ni yoo ro le. quote author=Charleys post=88583693] Why are yorubas happy about the dead of this man? Your vituperations speak more to your character than to the person you responded to. The guy said you should reason together. Was that too much? Anyway, supposing the guy runs a business that was already distressed and over burdened with multiple taxations as is currently the case with most SME? Do you expect the company to pay salary for work not done. Even abroad with strong SME, the workers are not going to be paid and the more reason they filed for unemployment benefit with the government. Everyone whose salary is impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic could approach the government for a bail out rather than expect a business owner already being strangulated by the government with multiple taxes and lack of supporting infrastructure to bail them out. Finally, what happens to savings made by employees from prior salaries? No one expect this and we should just look for a common ground depending on the employees and the organization's ability. There should be no entitlement mentality on this matter. quote author=hamid6249 post=88456278]What stupid rationale?this shows how wicked you are in real life ,so thier familiesshould be eating sand during the lock down and you expect them to come back licking your ass when the lockdown is over ,I'm sorry you are nothing less than those Lebanese that uses our brothers like slaves.what happens to advance salary, soft loans ,reduction in salary to accommodate partial loss of revenue , small stipend to at lease get food for their families ..oga you are a wicked or intending wicked boss

Applying the expired solution. The president is making a mess of his job. Very disappointing leadership. Buhari's government will sooner be a thesis on seeking a public office for power and personal aggrandizement; a case study of the destruction of the territory called Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Military to flush out bandits from the forests around the country. Speaking through his spokesperson Garba Shehu, he commiserated with the families and Governments of Plateau and Sokoto States, promising an end to such barbaric acts. President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Nigerian Army to join the Police and flush out bandits from forests around the country, particularly in the areas that witnessed recent attacks. The President gave the directive in response to the killing of 22 people in Sokoto State, whose community was attacked by armed bandits as well as the reported killing of 10 others in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. In a quick response, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai has already got in touch with the General Officers Commanding the army formations in the affected states, directing them to reinforce the police efforts to track the bandits and bring them to justice. President Buhari also commiserated with the governments and people of the two states, assuring Governors Aminu Tambuwal and Simon Lalong of the federal government’s support in bringing an end to the spate of attacks in the regions. He prayed that Allah would comfort those who lost beloved family members and friends in the attacks. https://twitter.com/GarShehu/status/1246133684798881794?s=19

A second colonisation loading. Our politician elites are a disgrace. Rather than to stop stealing and to restructure the type of government to a less expensive one thereby freeing money for capital projects, they instead prefer to sell the country to any interested foreigner. |
Shekau is really deranged and disillusioned. What Jihad is he fighting really? He has never been able to articulate what his jihad is about and looking to change. A jihad that he wages to forcefully turn women to s-x slaves? This guy honestly deserved to be hanged. How can an individual be so moronic? But I suppose he is thriving on the pervasive illiteracy and the poverty of the North. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/385310-video-chadian-troops-batter-boko-haram-terrorists-shekau-consoles-fighters.html
