Education / Re: Olaolu Femi Jailed For Defending Self Against Racism In Ukraine by Kinkinatus(m): 7:41pm On Aug 20, 2012
The moral of this story is stay in your homeland where you are safe and loved. There is a significant minority of extremist black haters in some of these East European countries and those caucasian nations further away from central Europe. Some of those nations have no respect for rights of minortity groups including blacks. Some of these nations have no government led policy, no resources, no interest and no initiatives to tackle such behaviour. I would not wish it on anybody to travel to such a country to look for a better life becuase there is nothing there. Better go to South Africa or Ghana or somewhere else than risk being beaten or being maimed and then being accused by the local police of being the one assaulting five locals.

Romance / Re: Wife Assault Husband(akins Story) by Kinkinatus(m): 1:53pm On Jun 10, 2012
Very sad story indeed. This is not unknown. Did you get the Social Services involved when it began? Did you seek legal advice when this all started? It sounds like you already left the UK in order to put the past behind you. In the UK, there are charities and helplines for male victims of domestic abuse like Mankind initiative and men's advice line. If you are back in Naija, try to rebuild your life and move on! Looking back will only cause you bitterness, loathing and self despair. If your story is true, then surely one day that woman will get her comeuppance.
Politics / Re: India Must Go by Kinkinatus(m): 6:34pm On Jun 05, 2012
How stupid is this thread? I suppose if Nigerians running a business in India were responsible for a catastrophe there, then it is suddenly okay to gang up on all Nigerians (including all the innocent ones) in India and deal with them via mob action. The shallowness, ignorance and mass stupidity of some nairalanders never ceases to amaze me. I don't like Dana for what happened. I know people who died on that aircraft. The focus should be on investigating and if found culpable charging the Dana management with corporate manslaughter or its equivalent in Naija law terms, and in dealing fully with any naija persons who were also complicit. Not mob action against all Indians. Fools!
Food / Re: 10 Minute Nigerian Recipes by Kinkinatus(m): 6:20pm On Jun 05, 2012
So where are the various 10 minute naija meals? All I see is whether rice should be washed before cooking etc. C'mon lets see more recipes.
Politics / Re: Terror Attacks ‘ll End Soon – Sultan, Borno Gov by Kinkinatus(m): 9:35pm On Feb 17, 2012
Really If the Sultan and State Governor can predict accurately the ending of this thuggery and mindless violence being perpetrated, then surely they must know something the rest of us Nigerians do not know. Perhaps they may wish to share how they know and what they know?
Romance / Re: Why Is It That Girls Throw Guys Luv In Their Faces by Kinkinatus(m): 10:26pm On Jan 26, 2012
The grass always appears greener on the other side. (but it sure ain't!). For every man there is a woman, and for every mugu out there are are two more waiting to be born. Like my homeboy's mom told us when we were growing up, don't fall in love, stand in love. Don't wear your heart on your sleeve for every guy or babe you have feelings for, because some guys and babes will Bleep you up simply because they know you are head over heels in love with them. It is simply unfeeling and disbelief on their part when they encounter true love. That act of throwing a lover's feelings back at the lover is extremely hurtful and immature and spiteful at its worst. Such people see but do not know or understand true love, and the giver of true love, alas has given it to the unappreciative person that throws it away with no regard to its value or the heartache or emotional heartbreak that is being caused. This is the sad world we live in today.
Family / Re: Men Who Suffer In Silence by Kinkinatus(m): 10:10pm On Jan 26, 2012
Why are you suffering in Ghana? You can choose to return to Naija and enjoy the company of Naija babes. You have free will, so use it.

Romance / Re: How Come Girls Never Love The Guys Who Love Them? by Kinkinatus(m): 11:33pm On Nov 23, 2011
Girls like bad boys, boys who have that X-factor which the current boy friend usually lacks. In Nigeria a large number of girls drool over so called big boys. Also when girls are with a guy who does not have much, some girlfriends would rather give their love to some one who has wealth, status and class in town. For those kind of girls, it is not about loving their guy back, it is about the grass being greener on the other side. Never mind that most times there is heart break and unhappiness with the guy who has it all, Sad but true.

TV/Movies / Re: Is Nollywood Rivaling Black Hollywood? by Kinkinatus(m): 6:09pm On Nov 19, 2011
Nollywood rivalling Black Hollywood? In what sense if I may ask? In terms of how much actors and actresses receive? In terms of media exposure? In terms of wealth and status? I very much doubt that Nollywood could rival any wood or any hood. If I may ask, has there been any Nollywood actors who auditioned for Hollywood major movies and won a starring role? There is very little if anything at all to compare Nollywood with Hollywood, talk less of rivalry. Maybe in a few million years, when Hollywood and all the other woods stop and wait for Nollywood to catch up? Just don't get carried away being a small fish in a small pond.
Nairaland / General / Nigerian Couple Arrested In Ghana With Fresh Human Heads by Kinkinatus(m): 6:42am On Sep 02, 2011

If this news article is true, this sort of behaviour badly tarnishes the image of the Homeland. It is hard to comprehend why any human would do this.

TV/Movies / Re: Movies To Watch Out For In 2011 And Release Dates by Kinkinatus(m): 10:19pm On Jan 04, 2011
@Vieira I agree that movies adapted from comics require great directors. More than that they require excellent script writers. An excellent scriptwriter supported by an imaginative and creative director who is ready to push the boundaries turns a great movie into a wicked movie.
TV/Movies / Re: Movies To Watch Out For In 2011 And Release Dates by Kinkinatus(m): 9:03am On Jan 03, 2011
I reckon the Spiderman franchise has been milked good and proper for all its worth and it should be time to move on. Marvel has milked most of their good Superhero characters - Ironman, X men, Wolverine, Hulk, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider, etc. I wonder where they are going to go from here after the sequels and prequels are done.

GL was great as a DC comic. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping Martin Campbell will be faithful to the true believers of the Comics. At the cost of sounding faintly ridiculous, watching movies is like eating Suya ( grin). LOL! If your favourite suya malam is not available, how are you sure a different malam can do the job and the suya will be as tasty as how you usually have it? (Somehow, I think that didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but you catch my drift!). Don't quote me please! grin
TV/Movies / Re: Movies To Watch Out For In 2011 And Release Dates by Kinkinatus(m): 8:16am On Dec 28, 2010
@iice I have mixed feelings (not too sure) about GL. The Director Martin Campbell did Goldeneye, Mask of Zorro and Vertical Limit. he also worked on the 80's Police Series "The Professionals". He might well pull surprises in GL. However, when it comes to movies (especially sci-fi) and directors, Steven Spielberg does it for me. I can't wait to see Cowboys and Aliens. Johnny Depp - Master actor. His work in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies is pure acting genius. Summer 2011 looks almost promising cool.

Offer him peppered shrimp, or you could could use some nice snapper fish instead of shrimp, that is very similar to Nigerian pepper soup.

TV/Movies / Re: Hollywood: Favourite Movies, Actors and Awards. Tinseltown reviews & Gossip by Kinkinatus(m): 7:25pm On Jan 07, 2010
no, dude that is the last movie I saw. The movie I am recommending is Sherlock Holmes.
TV/Movies / Re: Hollywood: Favourite Movies, Actors and Awards. Tinseltown reviews & Gossip by Kinkinatus(m): 7:10pm On Jan 07, 2010
Okay, last movie I saw was G.I. Joe - Rise of the Cobra, sfx , CGI galore with Marlon Wayans and Adewale Agbaje. Good actor though his US accent was a bit naff, but he's macho alright. As ever, Wayans was very funny. Agbaje was deputy cobra leader. He played a good deputy and the team were good together. Dennis Quaid was leader of the pack and Ray Park (Darth Maul in Star Wars) was excellent with great fight sequences. I am looking forward to seeing Drag Me To Hell. What would I recommend watching? Ooh, I am sorely tempted by Sherlock Holmes, I am waiting to see if the reviews are favourable and then I'll consider, the trailers for it look quite tempting.
