Inform your manager and get them to listen to you and understand the impact on your health and your work, get support from family or friends, review your concerns, look for self help solutions and create an action plan for yourself and follow through.

Agriculture / Re: Strange Insects Attack Crops In Kano - Farmers Cry Out, As Food Shortage Looms by Kinkinatus(m): 2:25pm On Jul 16, 2021
Why does this article make it sound like the locust insects are from outer space? Locusts have been on this earth and in Africa for thousands of years. They are not "strange".

Religion / Re: What Did Paul Mean When He Referred To The "Lawless One" Also As "Man Of Sin"? by Kinkinatus(m): 12:44pm On Jun 27, 2021
1Timothy 4:1-3 refers. Apostle Paul was writing in 2Thessalonians 2: 2,3 about apostates in the early Christian congregation. He warned the congregation at Ephesus that oppressive wolves would enter the congregation. Such oppressive wolves will not treat the congregation with tenderness and will instead try to draw away disciples from the early Christian congregation, in order to selfishly benefit. This is again illustrated in Matt 13 which talks about the weeds being imitation christians growing among the sown wheat, which are the sons of God's Kingdom.

Been working in a managerial position with staff (Asians, white, black, 9ja also) in UK since 2002. If you behave professionally, follow the Company policies especially on attendance, equality and diversity, HR policies, act on feedback when it is given, deliver on your agreed goals and work on your self development, you should be fine. All that 9ja cunni cunni moves, leave it in 9ja. If not, you could cause so much unneccessary pain and grief to yourself and your career.

Business / Re: The Curious Case Of First Bank by Kinkinatus(m): 7:40am On May 03, 2021
When the elephants fight, the ground suffers. If shareholders or bank board members can borrow billions of free money and not pay the bank back, why not ordinary customers? Yet if customers default from their 10k or 30k etc loans, they are threatened and pressured, with some being so stressed that they take their on lives. What a hypocritical and unfair banking system!!

When you pay the piper you play the tune. grin Next time send your destination website a snapshot of what you are wearing and ask them in advance if they will admit you, and hear what they say. If they say no, you can then ask them what clothes would be appropriate to get you entry.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Have You Ever Lost A Job Due To Your Tribe by Kinkinatus(m): 7:09am On Mar 20, 2021
Such a pity about this thread. It appears to be a tribe bashing thread full of irrelevant sentiments. I came to read hoping to learn takeaways about human resilience when facing challenges and how innovative thinking got contributors through the obstacles faced during the employment process. What a waste of my time!

That is complete and utter claptrap. When the relationship starts like this it is not going to go well. Already, she is being asked to contribute money to a house built by the husband to be's father. In the same breath, telling her that her family, her problem. She is better off walking away because when the proverbial poodoo hits the ceiling, she will end up high and dry.

Properties / Re: Share Your Face Me I Face You Experience. by Kinkinatus(m): 12:02am On Mar 06, 2021
Memories of living in compound house or face me I slap you in Iponri near Jubril Martins School. Landlord will be reminding you constantly before month end to pay your rent. Exactly at the end of the month, the man will be stalking the house looking for provocation and rent defaulters screaming at them. Pack Out!!! I say Pack Out!! If you nor pay ya rent. The pretty girls always dressed so gorgeously you would think, they were Lekki babes if you did not know they lived next door. They will be waiting for their man friend to come and pick them by the roadside. That time, they chin you bigtime, but in rhe morning after the night before, they are all, Hi, Hi. Excited Kids will be peeping through windows of jobless neighbours during the hot afternoon, who were busy bleeping and groaning for all to hear. Children playing on rubbish heaps cussing each other. Your father is an Agbekpo! Your mama na ashie, etc. You see rats the size of cats dashing madly through rubbish with kids throwing sticks, empty cans or rubbish at the humonguous rats. In the evenings, clouds of vindictive mosquitoes hungry for blood will drive you into your room when NEPA don take light. Thats when the roaches come out. When you see them and you smack them, they play dead, you lift your slipper to check and they dash off like a shot. There was no toilet just some shanties built over the drainage canal, so folks in the compound do their business in newspapers or nylon black bags, tie them neatly and post it over the shanty wall into the canal. Those were memories of a rough time. Those days will always stay with me.

This is what happens when throwaway social media comments by social influencers or even ordinary folks meets the concept of legal implications. When you are aware of your legal responsibilities, you do not throaway comments anyhow or cuss or yab willy nilly on social media because of tomorrow. Remember that once it is out there, it is is almost impossible to take it back, until the lawyers come calling.

Why are you putting up with this degrading treatment? A person who genuinely loves you will share concerns with you and discuss issues with you face to face, rather than going around talking to others behind your back, putting you down and deriding you. What foundation do you think this is setting for you and her as a couple? You should consider what you want long term. If it is not working, shut this fakery down and look for some one who loves you for who you are.

@ Precious girl who posted this picture. Why did you write at the bottom in Twi that Nigerians are very stupid with two laughing emojis. That is very offensive. I am minded to report you for posting offensive insults on nairaland. You are such a sad person. I guess you thought there are no Nigerians who can speak and read Ghana language. Shame on you!!!
